沈烈毅 | 第六届广州三年展公共艺术部分参展艺术家

沈烈毅长期从事雕塑与公共艺术的创作，2018年于浙江美术馆举办个展“跷跷板：沈烈毅装置艺术展”、2017年于南艺美术馆举办沈烈毅2017作品展、2016年于日本东京举办《以水为徒》沈烈毅个展、参加2018东方竹——亚洲竹生活艺术展、2018平行?上海——国际当代艺术邀请展、2017东湖国际生态雕塑双年展、2017釜山海洋艺术节、2016新加坡艺术周:“ENVISION”纪念性雕塑群展、2012德国-中国文化年“无形之形”中国当代艺术展等国内外重要艺术展、作品《舟》作为上海市政府赠送瑞士巴塞尔州的友好雕塑于2012年9月建造于巴塞尔圣约翰公园、获浙江省第三届城市雕塑评选金奖、第十二届全国美术作品展（优秀奖）等各重要雕塑展奖项，作品被多个美术馆和艺术机构收藏。

Shen has been dedicating himself to sculptures and public art. He had his solo shows “Seesaw: Lieyi’s Installation Art” at Zhejiang Art Museum in 2017, “Shen Lieyi Solo Exhibition at Art Museum of Nanjing University of Arts in 2017, and “Company with Water” at Art Front Gallery in Tokyo, Japan in 2016. Also, he was included in important exhibitions such as the Oriental bamboo: Art of living exhibition on Asian bamboo in 2018, Parallelism?Shanghai—International Contemporary Art Invitational Exhibition in 2018, East Lake International Ecological Sculpture Biennale and Sea Art Festival in 2017, ENVISION-SCULPTURES@THE GARDEN CITY in Singapore, and “Form of the Formless- Exhibition of Chinese Contemporary Art in 2012. In September of 2012, he was commissioned by the Shanghai municipal government to create a work as a gift to Basel Switzerland. The sculpture was titled “Boat” which is currently displayed in Basel St. John Park in Switzerland. The work won the Golden Award of the 3rd ZheJiang City Sculpture Award and the Recognition Award of the 12th National Exhibition of Fine Arts. In addition, Shen’s works were collected by dozens of important art museums and institutions.

( 作品《舟》是第六届广州三年展华侨城盒子美术馆分展场公共艺术部分参展作品。)《舟》：借以青天，得于夕阳。天蓝添作色，绘入多许情。水波荡漾，随风舞动， 清柔婉折，此起彼伏……其实它已定格已凝结。此舟不渡人，却试图能渡得人们 思考的一段历程。

Boat participated in the Public Art Project of the 6th Guangzhou Triennial -satellite venue - OCT Boxes Art Museum. Under the sunset sky, I was getting sentimental. The rippling water waves danced with the wind so gently here and there..In fact, it is a moment that had passed and the boat is frozen now. This boat is not able to carry any visitors, but it will provide them a journey to reflect.

Rain

        山西黑花岗岩 (Shanxi Black Granite) / 165×150×90cm / 2017

石与水、与风协奏，在坚硬质感上展现出亦动亦静的效果，呈现了坦然自若的自然之境。波光中满溢出的自然情怀夹杂着静默无声的动态，实际上传达出了现代人对自然和安宁的追忆，使观者卸下了生活于都市丛林间的疲惫和惘然，回归朴实平和的心境。此刻，它便成为了观者得以静思的载体，引发人们对自然的关注与体悟、对生活的探索与追忆以及对自我的观照与反省。

Stone and water, combined with wind, shows a dynamic and static effect on hard texture, and presents a peaceful state of natural environment. The natural feeling, which actually conveys the modern people's recollection of nature and tranquility, overflowing from the waves, is mixed with the silent dynamics, makes the viewers unload the fatigue and sorrow of living in the urban jungle and return to the simple and peaceful state of mind. At this moment, it has become a carrier for the viewer to reflect quitely, triggering people's attention and understanding of nature, exploration and reminiscing of life, and observation and reflecting on themselves.

湖心亭一点

Mid-lake Pavilion A Dot

不锈钢 (stainless steel) / 40×9.5×4.2 cm / 2012

以“湖心亭”作为主题内容，结合梭的造型，简洁明朗，以银色为主色调，镜面幻影，波光粼粼，营造环岛皆水，置身桃源之感，亦是“诗、画、景”完美统一的表现。

With the theme of “mid-lake pavilion”, combined with the shape of the shuttle, work is simple and clear. Silver as the main color, mirror illusion, water shimmering, creating an island surrounded by water, gives the feeling of be in a remote reteat, also being the perfect unity of “poetry, painting and scenery”.  

静水流石

Still Water & Running Stone

木、石 (wood, stone) / 1000×160×40cm / 2013

放置的石块所产生的涟漪使得作品产生了自然而然的流动。而这件作品所隐含的意味也暗合了南北朝时期的一位禅师傅翕所写的一首禅诗：“人在桥上走，桥流水不流”。表达人的体悟与观察相悖的禅理。

the ripples created by the placed stones make the work flow naturally. The implied meaning of this work also coincides with a Zen poem written by a Zen master of the Southern and Northern Dynasties: "People walk on the bridge, and the bridge flow while the water does not". It expresses Zen idea of the contradiction between human understanding and observation.
