第六届广州三年展主题展以“诚如所思，加速的未来”为题，将这篇开创性文本的深远影响延伸到艺术领域，以反映过去几十年来技术进步的轨迹及其在整个社会范围内的回响。本次三年展旨在探讨由技术构建的时空，从真实到虚拟所产生的多重影响，通过审视从地理维度乃至宇宙前景的创造性努力来应对所面临的挑战和机遇，并通过人类和非人类、生物与机器、有机与无机的愿景的联盟，提供一种关于新的生态可能性的场景，使得经过重整的人文主义可以在物的集合（此处借用布鲁诺·拉图尔创造的术语）中共生并互惠地成长。
Titled As We May Think, Feedforward, extending this seminal text’s far-reaching ramifications into the artistic domain as a way to reflect on the trajectories of technological advances and their reverberations throughout the social sphere over the past decades, the 6th edition of Guangzhou Triennial seeks to address the multiple implications engendered by such a technologically constructed time-space - in the real and through the virtual - by examining creative endeavors both from geographical purviews and from cosmic prospects in responding to the challenges and opportunities at stake and to think, once again, through a new alliance of visions by humans and nonhumans alike, machines and flesh with equal footing, organic and inorganic hand in hand, an alternative outlook for a new possibility of ecology whereby a retooled humanism may thrive in a Parliament of Things (to borrow a term from Bruno Latour) in symbiosis and reciprocity.

蒋竹韵 Jiang Zhuyun
1984年生于杭州，现生活工作于杭州和北京。
Born in 1984,he lives and works in Hangzhou,China.
蒋竹韵是第六届广州三年展华侨城盒子美术馆分展场主题展参展艺术家之一。蒋竹韵的创作和研究方向涉足装置、行为、网络、声音、程序等多种媒介及形态。 现就职于中国美术学院跨媒体艺术学院，参与编程，声音，等教学工作。2017年入围第五届三亚艺术季“华宇青年奖”。近期展览有个展《如果结尾在开始之前》（博而励画廊，北京，2018），群展《诚如所思：加速的未来》（第六届广州三年展，广州，2018），《面向真实的时间》（贝尔尤维宫，卡塞尔，2018），《在场》（中国美术学院美术馆，杭州，2018），《复相影像》（广州影像三年展，广州，2017），《球场》（中央美术学院美术馆，北京，2017）等。
Jiang Zhuyun is one of the artists participating in the 6th guangzhou triennial theme exhibition at OCT Boxes Art Museum satellite venue.As an artist, Jiang's works takes on multiple forms such as installation, animation, drawing, experimental music, sound art and AudioVisual pieces. Now he teaches artistic programing and sound basic tech theory at SIMA, China Academy of Art. In 2017, he was a finalist for The 5th Huayu Youth Award in Art Sanya. His recent solo exhibitions include If the End Precedes the Beginning (Boers-Li Gallery, Beijing, 2018), recent group exhibitions include As We May Think: Feedforward (The 6th Ghuangzhou Triennial, Guangzhou, 2018), Concepts of Visual Poetry (Palais Bellevue #2, Kassel, 2018), Presence (China Academy of Art, Hangzhou, 2018), Simultaneous Eidos (Guangzhou Image Triennial, Guangzhou,2017), Any Ball (CAFA Art Museum, Beijing, 2017), etc.

本件作品参加了第六届广州三年展，艺术家用眼球追踪系统记录了他在阅读TS. 艾略特诗集《四个四重奏》时，带有思索性的，障碍性的停顿反复，以及快感所带来跳跃性的目光移动。并从增强现实（AR）的技术中受到启发，将这些数据分别映射于一米长的直线模组，空间中的四个模组分别对应该诗集的四个章节。

This work participated in the 6th guangzhou triennial.The artist used the eye tracking system to record his thought-provoking, hindering pauses and repetition, and the jumping movements of view caused by pleasure when reading TS. Eliot's "Four Quartets." Inspired by the technology of augmented reality (AR), the data is mapped to one-meter-long linear modules individually, and the four modules in the space correspond to the four chapters of the collection of peoms.

因该诗集中讨论了诗人关于时间，空间，有限，无限等宏大的主题，并认为 Incarnation （道成肉身）的意义给人类经验和时间提供了最高原则；艺术家借由技术的记录方式和呈现方式，试图反观自己在面对这些这些宏大主题时的个体经验，并反观未来。作品题目“结尾在开始之前”来自该诗集第一章，对于艺术家而言，这里存有着逻辑上的断裂，时间和空间两个维度的关系也开始模糊。艺术家将机器视为其个人经验和时间的容器，呈现出一种特殊的紧张关系。

As the poem focuses on the poet's grand themes of time, space, finiteness, infinity, etc., and believes that the meaning of Incarnation provides the highest principle for human experience and time. The artist’s way of recording and presentation through technology tries to reflect on his individual experience in the face of these grand themes and reflect on the future. The title of the work If the End Precedes the Beginning comes from the first chapter of the poems. For the artist, there is a logical break, and the relationship between time and space start to blur. The artist sees the machine as a container of his personal experience and time, presenting a special strained relation.

同一水平线上的六台相机从不同的角度，每间隔15秒拍摄一次，记录这把椅子在一天之中所发生的一切。通过后期，将六台相机所拍摄的画面焦点分别聚焦于椅子的四个角上，从而呈现了对象在由于空间角度变化下所产生的四种运动形态。
Six cameras on the same horizontal line take photographs every fifteen seconds, recording what happened to the chair during one day. Throughpost production, the focuses of the picture taken by the six cameras are respectively focused on the four corners of the chair, thereby presenting four kinds of motion forms of the object generated due to the change of the spatial angle.
