Kang Chunhui (b. 1982, Urumchi, Xinjiang, China) works and lives in Beijing. In 2004, She graduated from Art and Design College of Jiangnan University with a bachelor degree. In 2006, she enrolled at Kizil Grottoes Research Institution in Xinjiang sketching wall paintings. In 2011, she earned her master degree from Seoul National University College of Fine Arts.
Ink is the media through which the artist expresses herself, and also a key component of her creative concept. Paper, a sensitive and fickle medium for her ink, has also been a continuing subject of her exploration. In fact, Kang Chunhui's understanding of ink painting is not limited to this superficial level of physical materials, but rather through her never-ending exploration through practice is elevated to a spiritual level. In Kang Chunhui's work, I can see her impassioned search for creative value and cultural identity carried out by her command of a sensibility towards ink. Whether we speak of Chinese contemporary art, or of contemporary Western art, we are not merely dealing with a semantic game, but rather speaking of the need for vigorous, artistic uniqueness and the validation of artistic creativity. This is what Kang Chunhui, in her quiet yet persistent way, brings to all of us. (Zhao Li)

Gao Qian (b. 1973, Nanjing, China). In 1995, she earned her bachelor degree from the Chinese Painting Department of Nanjing Academy of Fine Arts. In 1998, she graduated from the Chinese Painting Department of Nanjing Academy of Fine Arts with a master degree. In 2016, she obtained her PhD from Chinese National Academy of Arts. From 1999 to 2013, she worked at Shanghai Museum. She is currently working as a professional artist at the Literature and Art Department of Chinese National Academy of Arts. She is honored as the National First - Class Artist.
Steeped in the essence of tradition, Gao Qian is a rigorous and excellent artist of the highest order. She has never been satisfied with simply expressing technique, but has always insisted on adopting an “ideas first” method of creating art, whether it be, for example, an infatuation with the caressing of an object, or the realization of life’s vitality, or the associative construction of an artistic synesthesia, or the rumination on classical script, or the lamentation of the ephemera of fireworks and the retreat of prosperity. Gao Qian’s works are gentle and reserved, appealing and exquisite, suffused with details which both fascinate and encourage reflection. At the same time, her works are notable for their revelation of an enchanting feminine spirit as well as the ambience of a private and personal boudoir. These subtle observations, profound meditations and restrained metaphors together create the unique framework of Gao Qian’s artistic practice.
Jin Sha (b. 1968, Beijing, China) works and lives in Beijing and Sydney. He graduated from the Chinese Painting Department of the Central Academy of Fine Arts (CAFA). He is appointed as the Secretary-General of the Beijing Art Institute of Chinese Fine Art Painting and the Executive director of the China Hue Art Society. He is also a member of the Art Committee of the Zhejiang Art Academy’s Chinese Fine Art Painting Research Institute.
Jin Sha's painting is not just presenting the modern concept of the new art form, he also combines Western techniques such as perspectives, chiaroscuro modeling, and the Chinese Gongbi-painting in his works. In this series, Jin stripes away the corporeal body from the human figure, and leaving just the appearance of the clothes. The spaces and scenes that is originally behind the body now emerge to the surface, then the viewer is able to see through the landscape of the portraits to gain a new virtual experience. In addition, Jin loves to leave his viewers clues that are symbolic to the artwork . The clues such as a tobacco pipe and an apple in the air are one examples appear in his paintings.

Sun Hao (b. 1980, Shandong, China) works and lives in Beijing. In 2001, he graduated from the Chinese Traditional Painting Department of Luxun Academy of Fine Arts with a bachelor degree, majored in portraits painting. In 2005, he earned his master degree from the Chinese Painting Department of Central Academy of Fine Art, majored in materials and expression. He is a member of Chinese Artists Association, and currently teaching at the Beijing Institute of Graphic Design Art Institute.
When we first see Sun Hao’s works, we notice that there is none of the flashy contemporary abstract style. They evoke the famous straightforward, masculine image of men from Shandong Province, in that the realist style and solid forms are devoid of any unnecessary embellishments, their visual impact deriving entirely from heavy ink brushwork. Sun Hao explores the expanding boundaries and limits of ink and the serendipitous, uncontrollable, expansive and creative aspects of ink painting, while discovering the effects that emerge from painting sculpture. This is no longer a mere question of carrier; it now encompasses the independent capabilities of ink painting techniques as artistic language. Using technique as the path and entry point to conception, Sun Hao has found the physical appearance of his spiritual pursuits in ink.

Wang Jian Wei (b. 1978, Henan, China) works and lives in Beijing. He studied at College of Chinese Calligraphy, the Mural Painting Department of China Central Academy of Fine Art (CAFA), Research Institute of Traditional Chinese Painting.
If we take a glance at Wang Jianwei’s recent works, we could sense that the painter’s inner world is influenced by the Taoism philosophy, and the works are the illustrations of artist’s understanding of “Chi”. The appreciation of the idea that all entity is consist of “Chi” is also a contemporary manifestation of an ancient Chinese philosophical idea. Therefore, Wang Jianwei has taken a very important step in the study of the combination of Chinese traditional culture and contemporary painting.

Liu Yun studied oil painting in his early years, and later focuses on Chinese landscape paintings. He has systematically studied Chinese traditional landscape painting, especially the Blue and Green Landscape Painting. On the basis of the Blue and Green Landscape Painting, he creates a style with a richness of ink and color. As an artist who lives and works in Hunan, the landscape of lakes and mountains in Xiang area inspires him. Through a long period of painting from life, he senses the change of the mountains and the rivers, the flowing of all life. Therefore, his sensibility of the beauty of nature is expressed within his brush stroke; The plain, the hill, the forest, the countryside, the lake and the stream, all vividly arise on paper under his brushes.
