阿拉里奥画廊荣幸的宣布将与Duxiana合作，将在2018 Photo上海博览会展示艺术家元性媛（Won Seoung won）的作品，参展作品将于Photo上海博览会的Duxiana贵宾室展出。

在展览期间艺术家将参与博览会特别举办的艺术家对谈环节。

Arario gallery presents Won seoungwon’s works in Photo Fair Shanghai as a special project by collaborating with Duxiana.

An artist talk will be given during the exhibition, specially held by Photo Shanghai Fair.

元性媛的艺术作品是非常独特而又新颖地将一些现实与梦幻融合为一体的摄影拼贴艺术。虽然她的摄影作品是数字化的，但它依然会唤起你对一些事物的联想与感情。因为空间与物体之间都是单独拍摄再进行重新组合。照片的拍摄与取材来源于世界各地。通过合成的手法将不同地点不同时间拍摄的图像汇聚于一体，从而形成一个个独立的故事。通过创作出无数个图层，元性媛的摄影作品显然是视觉图像，它们都是不同的故事，通过艺术家的独特想象力将梦幻的空间与人进行融合创作。在此之中，一切都在虚构的世界中形成了新的故事。

艺术家通过使用电脑将自己拍摄的数百幅照片精心设计，从而得到一幅奇幻的影像。虚构的叙事空间讲述了过去，现在，将来，以及同时代中每个人的关系。在她的作品中基于现实逻辑通过艺术家独特的观察视角和细腻地想象营造出的陌生感。人类深刻而又沉重的主题通过风趣得视觉娱乐化地表达，以唤起类似的感受。她的工作是在现实事物中探索微妙的情感。故事的图像开始像三维图画书一样无限地向前扩展，一页一页地展向新的时空。

我的七岁[2010]是将11个单独的故事交织在一起，阐述了在1978年间的某一个时候在旅途中寻找她的母亲。2012年，这三部系列作品反映了她的过去，现在，将来。第一部[2013]系列都是基于她身边所发生的事与物，特别的讲述了“不完美的关系”。根据这个主题，她在2013年创作了六个系列，阐述客观事实但又超越现实的荒诞岛屿，营造出如童话一般地空间。作为所有创作工作的基础，绘图被认为是一个至关重要的过程，在完成承载无际幻想故事作品之前，绘图将成为她与艺术世界紧密沟通的桥梁。同时密切地揭露她心灵深处的内心世界。

Won Seoung Won’s works has involved a unique and meticulous from of photographic collage mixing reality and fantasy. While her photographic work is digital, it evokes analog emotions as spaces and objects are individually photographed and then carefully juxtaposed. Through synthesis of the sources of photographs taken all over the world, images taken from different places and times come together to form a single story. Created through countless layers, Won’s photographys are obviously visual images, yet they are also different stories that offer fascinating juxtapositions of spaces and people through the artist’s unique imagination. In the process, they forge new narratives within fictional worlds.

Hundreds of photographed images taken by artist herself transform into a fantastical image through her elaborate working with computer. The imaginary space being narrative speaks of yesterday and today with personal tomorrow, and by extension, relationship between each individual of contemporaries. In her work composed with the artist’s distinctive views based on a realistic logic and the unfamiliarity by delicate imagination, the profound and heavy subject of human is revealed as a wit and visual amusement, as well as evoking an analogue feeling. Her work from an existing incident in reality delivers subtle emotions. And the image containing a story begins to infinitely expand onward like a three dimensional picture book which keeps unfolding new time and space page after page.

My Age of Seven [2010] is woven together with 11 personal stories delivering the content of 7 years old girl on a journey in search of her mother sometime in 1978. In 2012, the three works in series reflect her yesterday, today, and tomorrow, and the series of Character Episode 1 [2013] pictures are based on peoples’ life stories happened nearby her, especially about ‘imperfect relations’. 元性媛毕业于韩国中央大学艺术学院，获得雕塑学位。杜塞尔多夫艺术学院和德国科隆媒体艺术学院。元性媛曾在韩国和海外举办过多次个展，包括 The Sight of the Others（阿拉里奥画廊，首尔，2017），Character Episode I（Artside Gallery，首尔，2013）1978-My Age of Seven（Gana Contemporary，首尔， 2010）明天（Alternative Space Loop，首尔，2008）。她的作品目前包括在东京国立现代和当代艺术博物馆，东京森美术馆，京畿道现代艺术博物馆，摄影博物馆，首尔艺术博物馆，德国奥斯特豪斯博物馆以及美国圣巴巴拉艺术博物馆等地展出。

Won Seoungwon was born in 1972 in Korea. She earned her M.F.A. in Kunsthochschule für Medien K?ln in Media Art and Kunstakademie Duesseldorf Akademiebrief and Meisterschuelerin and B.F.A. from the Department of Sculpture in Chung-Ang University, Seoul. Won Seoungwon has hold a number of exhibitions internationally, including Seemingly familiar or seemingly unfamiliar, Progetti Arte Contemporanea, Florence, Italy, 2017; Public to Private, National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Seoul, Korea, 2016; The King of Illusion M.C.
