【红门 - 瑜舍特展】立夏：郅敏个展！| Beginning of Summer at The Opposite House!

红门画廊携手瑜舍酒店共同举办《立夏 —— 郅敏个展》。此次展览将展出天象及二十四节气等系列作品。夏季来临，北方天空的星相也随着季节转换。朱雀和白虎代表着中国神话里的四方神灵，也是中国古代天文学里星宿的名称，源于中国远古的星宿信仰，天空的星象随着节气的转换而变化。在北方的夜晚，每到春夏之交，朱雀上升；夏秋之交，白虎露头，随着节气从立夏的开始星宿交替出现。

Red Gate Gallery with The Opposite House to hold Beginning of Summer Zhi Min solo exhibition. This exhibition shows The Cosmos and Seasons series. As summer approaches, the astrology of the northern sky changes with the seasons. Rosefinch and White Tiger represent the four gods in Chinese mythology. They are also the names of ancient Chinese astronomical stars, originating from the ancient Chinese constellation. In the northern hemisphere night the stars alternate between the seasons. When spring changes to summer, Rosefinch rises; when summer turns to autumn, the white tiger appears.

About artist 关于艺术家

郅敏现任中国艺术研究院中国雕塑院副院长、一级美术师、研究生导师。在上海，巴黎及北京都举办过个展。他的作品目前在上海美术馆，中央美术学院，美国罗德岛设计学院，巴黎及联合国教科文民间艺术国际机构。

Born and raised in Beijing, Zhi Min is currently the Deputy Dean of China Sculptural Academy and the Professor of Chinese Academy of Arts. He has held four solo exhibition across Shanghai, Beijing and Paris. His work can be found in Shanghai Art Museum, Central Academy of Fine Arts, Rhode Island School of Design, Paris and IOV, etc.
