Anna Nova Art Gallery 由 Anna Barinova 于 2005 年在圣彼得堡成立,目前已经成为俄罗斯极具领导性的画廊之一。通过与俄罗斯知名艺术家和新兴艺术家及策展人合作,画廊在当代视觉艺术领域拓展了许多大胆且新颖的项目。画廊代理的艺术家涉及众多媒介,从油画到摄影,录像,再到综合媒材、听觉艺术。得益于高达三楼的展览空间,艺术家们得以充分发挥,放心安放大型艺术作品;同时硕大的空间也肩负了商业与对公众开放的双重责任。


2006 年,画廊发起了“诺瓦艺术大赛” (Nova Art Contest) 用以发掘并扶植艺术界的冉冉新星。往届评委包括了 Carolyn Christov-Bakargiev (第13届卡塞尔文献展艺术总监), Joanna De Vos (独立收藏家), Sylvian Levy (dslcollection 的创始人),Steven Sacks (纽约 bitforms gallery创始人) 以及 Catherine Becker (独立收藏家) 等重要国际策展人,画廊主和收藏家。

 

同时,Anna Nova Art Gallery 也开始为国际大展以及重要双年展提供展品,其艺术家作品也被蓬皮杜艺术中心,皇家圣费尔南多美术学院,莫斯科当代艺术博物馆,特列季亚科夫画廊,俄罗斯博物馆,卡尔斯鲁厄艺术与媒体中心,多媒体艺术博物馆,法国国家当代艺术组织所收藏。

 

2012 年伊始,Anna Nova Art Gallery 开始出版名为 《The Booklet》 的当代艺术杂志。


 

Dmitry Markov ,1982年生于普希金诺,目前工作和生活于普斯科夫。他曾经是街头青年,鸦片上瘾者,现在的 Dmitry 依旧有着多重身份:新闻从业者,博客主,社会运动分子以及街头摄影师。通过摄影,他已经在自己的 Instagram 账户(@dcim.ru)上积攒了 369,000 的粉丝,并获奖无数。


Dmitry凭自己的直觉和来之不易的经验自学成才,但他不认为自己是“具有社会意识的摄影师”。“每一张上传的照片都是我自己的一部分”,他在自己的 Instagram 账户简介写到,“当我问自己为什么要去关注社会上不那么令人愉悦的一面时,我会回答:‘因为我是它的一部分。’”

Valery Katsuba,1960 年代末出生于在一个名叫西尔盖耶维奇的小镇。现在,这座小镇已经隶属于白俄罗斯境,但当时还在苏维埃联邦共和国的统治之下。有着独到艺术视角的 Valery 从海军学校毕业后开始摄影,在收藏家和艺术家朋友的支持下,走上了当代艺术的道路。

Uldus Bahktiozina,1986 年生于俄罗斯圣彼得堡,目前生活和工作于圣彼得堡。她毕业于英国中央圣马丁艺术与设计学院毕业。这位年轻的摄影师成功结合了时尚摄像,摄影指导,戏剧服装,舞台设计与社会运动,并将她自己的摄影系列《绝望的浪漫》搬上了 2014 年三月的温哥华 TED 会议,她也是 TED 邀请的第一位俄罗斯演讲嘉宾,并于同年被 BBC 选为杰出女性。自2016 年成为 TED 成员的一份子后,Uldus 在 2017 年又一次在 TED 会议中出现,畅谈关于作品《幻想中的生命》的故事。

Anna Nova Art Gallery was founded by Anna Barinova in Saint-Petersburg in 2005, and is currently one of the leading galleries in Russia. The gallery works with both emerging and established Russian and international artists and curators, creating bold and innovative projects in the field of contemporary visual art. The gallery represents artists working in a wide range of media, from painting and sculpture to photography, video, media and sound-art. Taking advantage of the vast gallery space spread over 3 floors, the artists are encouraged to create large-scale installations, while the gallery operates both as a commercial space and an institution welcoming the visitors of all age and social groups.


In 2006 the gallery has initiated Nova Art Contest for the purpose of discovering and supporting young talented artists. In different years the Contest Jury included such prominent international curators, gallerists and collectors as Carolyn Christov-Bakargiev (art director of Documenta 13), Joanna De Vos (independent curator), Sylvian Levy (founder of dslcollection), Steven Sacks (founder of bitforms gallery, NY) and Catherine Becker (independent curator).
 
Anna Nova Art Gallery provides artworks for display at large international exhibitions and biennales on a regular basis. The work of gallery artists has entered the collections of Centre Nacional d’Art et de Culture Georges Pompidou (Paris, France), Museum of Real Academia de Bellas Artes de San Fernando (Madrid, Spain), M HKA (Antwerp, Belgium), Moscow Museum of Contemporary Art (Moscow, Russia) and State Tretyakov Gallery (Moscow, Russia), Russian State Museum (Moscow, Russia), ZKMMuseum (Karlsruhe, Germany), Multimedia Art Museum (Moscow, Russia), French National Association of Contemporary Art (Paris, France).


From 2012 Anna Nova Art Gallery is publishing a magazine about contemporary art – the Booklet.
 
Anna Nova Art Gallery will present works from artist Dmitry Markov, Valery Katsuba, Uldus Bahktiozina at 2019 PHOTOFAIRS | Shanghai.

 


Dmitry Markov is born in 1982, Pushkino. Now he Lives and works in Pskov. A former street kid and opioid addict, Dmitry Markov works as a journalist, blogger, activist and street photographer. His images, posted daily on Instagram (@dcim.ru), have garnered him 369, 000 followers and led to several awards.


Self-taught and guided by his instincts and hard-earned experience, Dmitry Markov rejects the label of socially aware photographer. “Every added picture is another chapter in my own history,” he says of his Instagram archive, “and when I get asked why I go after ‘life’s unpleasant side’, I reply: ‘Because I am a part of it.’”

Valery Katsuba was born in the village of Sergeyevichi in the end of 1960s. At that time the village was in the Soviet Union — now it is in the Republic of Belarus. After graduating from the Naval Academy, he took up photography with the support of artists friends and curators who noticed the originality of his artistic gaze from early on.

Uldus Bahktiozina (b.1986, St. Petersburg) lives and works in St. Petersburg, Russia. She has graduated from Central St. Martins College of Art and Design (BA). The young photographer successfully combines such activities as art and fashion photography, film direction, theatre costume and stage designing and social activism. As a part of her social activity, in 2014 Uldus has became the first Russian speaker in the history of TED conference, gave a talk in March 2014, Vancouver, Canada about her photo project Desperate Romantics. In 2016 Uldus has become Senior TED fellow. In 2017 Uldus gave her second Ted Talk about her project Conjured Life. Uldus also spoke at Conference CDI in Mexico, as a finalist of Gifted Citizen Prize. In 2014 Uldus was named one of the strongest women of 2014 according to BBC.
