李明 Li Ming(中国)
Li Ming was born in Yuanjiang, Hunan Province in 1986, graduated from China Academy of Fine Arts in 2008, and now lives and works in Hangzhou. If you want to ask me to give a metaphor for my work, I think it would be a manuscript work. These are the names of the last nine years that I can remember. As you can see, I like to carry out my work from a noun, a verb or a sentence. In general, I write the title before I start my work, and in my opinion, I name the action I'm about to start, which means that I can then move from my current position to a new perspective to see all the existing objective worlds. These sentences, nouns, verbs, like I move with a camera, zoom in, they magnify things, they get the details of things and they trigger emotions; they push the world away, and they experience some form of pleasure. My judgment of my work usually does not set any standard, and the only criterion that can be spoken in words is: "After I have done my work, I have a verb for this name." If so, I will leave some information as evidence of presentation, they may be paintings, videos, records of behavior, texts, devices, etc.

胡宸宇 Hu Chenyu(中国)

We don't know whether it's good or bad. Our lives have changed greatly with the advent of the digital age. Hu Chenyu's works explore the significance and possibility of images and photography, and the influence of images on civilization in the contemporary context. Most of them are generated by computer, collecting existing images, establishing image archives and creating many other technical means.
唐潮 Tang Chao(中国)
Tang Chao was born in Hunan in 1990. He graduated from the experimental film studio of China Academy of Fine Arts in 2014. Now he is liveing and working in Shanghai.
According to Tang Chao's personal creation, we can tease out a working context parallel to the action and media. Although he uses video and photography as the main media, his actions (actively encountering the reality in social space) are synchronized with the image. Action is a deliberate choice and a problematic experiment.

J?rg Paul Janka (德国)
1965 born in Duisburg, Germany; lives and works in Dusseldorf.
Basics about my artistic strategy:
A sequence of pictures creates a movie or an animation for me. My photography is a part of my cinematographic work or it is more a carrier for a higher artistic idea. As a series of photographies, it is more about sociological processes, actions and contradictions of human procedures, collected as non-round facts into a obvious visibility.
Thomas Neumann (德国)

Martin Denker (德国)
1976 born in Hamburg, lives and works in Düsseldorf.
Martin Denker - artist statement:In my pictorial endeavours I am concerned with relations between chaos and order.
The human eye favours order while our thoughts tend to be chaotic: my former works were large format panoramas consisting of countless fragments of incoherent information -in its "allover"-arrangement forming a universal order out of the chaos of pictorial narrative by consideration. Here, the rules of aestheticism formed order in months of work on a single image.
After the years I got more interested in reduction and the deceisive moment in photography again: I use a mechanical device from chaos-research to track down chaotic behaviour within seconds. The rules of gravity force chaos into order and a mechanical apparatus can take actions i.e. "make choices" (!) it seems. Choices are reactions to the universal gravities. They are unique and impossible to be calculated by any mathematics. This simple device disproves Isaac Newton and could be seen as a physical proof of a creative force formerly known as divinity.
Oliver Sieber (德国)
1966 born in Dusseldorf, lives and works in Dusseldorf.
Artist Statement:Which identity do I accept?
In which character do I transform myself to be different, or to be just like the others?
Here, the exterior, the appearance, behavior and occurrence, always the scene of this communication with the other - and photography is the stage and mirror.
What is the role and formative power of our images and role models, which different cultural signs and codes are we on the track?
Katja Stuke (德国)
born 1968, lives and works in Dusseldorf, Germany, where she previously studied photography and video.
Reference-text:In her work Katja Stuke deals with questions about media and the confrontation with media-images. In her series ?Supernatural? she confronts gender in televised athletics by photographing her television screen during broadcasts of the Olympic Games with a focus on female gymnasts who are poised to execute routines on a world stage. By freezing the athletes at points of heightened anticipation and honing in on their facial expressions, the portraits capitalize on the charge of particular moments. At the same time, the pictures offer the opportunity for a studied examination of the athletes’ faces, and bring attention to the hairstyles and makeup typically worn by female gymnasts. World-class women’s gymnastics is notorious for the extreme pressures it places on children and young women to reach exceptional levels of physical ability and mental toughness. Stuke’s photographs equate those pressures with still another layer of expectation on the female gymnast—the existing ideals of youthful feminine grace and beauty that dominate image culture.
