在3画廊很荣幸的宣布将于2017年5月27日举办艺术家雎安奇的个展《咏舞》，这也是在3画廊继去年成功举办他的录像个展《大字》后，今年推出的雎安奇最新的影像装置个展。
此次展览将以录像、声音、LED灯箱三种创作媒介组合而成。画廊壮观高阔的教堂空间将悬挂罕见的21米高的大银幕。二楼和三楼的空间分别是声音和LED灯箱装置。
本次展览的名称《咏舞》，来自于中国古代历代诗人都书写过的歌咏舞蹈的诗名“咏舞”。雎安奇的作品与古人目的一致，为了“咏舞”，他带着一台袖珍红外线摄像机在几乎全黑的地下色情舞厅进行拍摄和访问……
展览将首次呈现一种在部分城市存在了二十余年的地下舞蹈形式：砂舞。在黑暗拥挤的舞厅，男女双方身体敏感部位紧密接触，上下左右反复摩擦，形同砂轮打磨物件，顾名思义“砂舞”。成为当地普遍的底层社会娱乐方式。在画廊的二楼空间，声音装置里播放着艺术家和舞女对谈的声音采样，古诗里的轻盈飘逸幻化成刺耳的音乐和对白。三楼的LED广告灯箱是雎安奇常用的标志性创作媒介，其漫不经心滚动的那些“咏舞”古诗的字幕，则把通过阅读吟诵并借助想象力建构的“美姬歌舞”的风貌消退成公共空间的一块LED广告屏。
《咏舞》由来自美国匹兹堡大学师从高铭潞教授的美国策展人赖青琳（Ellen Larson）博士担任本次展览的策展人。
展览将于2017年5月27日（周六）下午4：00开幕，持续至2017年6月24日。
Being 3 Gallery is proud to announce the solo exhibition of artist Ju Anqi, “Dance Aria,” on May 27th, 2017. This is the newest video installation solo exhibition Being 3 Gallery has curated for Ju Anqi, after the success of last year’s video solo exhibition, “Big Characters.”
This exhibition will be composed of a combination of video, audio, and LED light boxes. A 21-meter tall screen will be hung in the Gallery’s soaring Church space. Audio and LED light box installations will be installed on the 2nd and 3rd floor, respectively.
The title of this exhibition, “Dance Aria,” comes from the tradition of ancient poets writing poems about dance, and naming these poems “Dance Aria.” Ju Anqi ’s work has the same intention as these poets — in order to write “Dance Aria,” he brought a mini infrared video camera into an almost completely dark underground erotic dance clubs in order to film and interview…
The exhibition will present an underground dance form that has existed in certain cities for twenty-something years: sand dance. On dark, crowded dance floors, men and women rub their private parts together, much like how grinders sand down objects, hence “sand dance.” This is a style of entertainment common to the working people of this area. On the second floor of the Gallery, audio installations play voice samples of the artist speaking with female dancers — the lightness of ancient poetry is transformed into deafening music and dialogues. On the third floor, LED light boxes, a signature medium of Ju Anqi, submerges the imagery of “beautiful dancers” in ancient poetry into commercial LED screens in public spaces.
“Dance Aria” is curated by Ellen Larson, of the University of Pittsburgh, and student to Professor Gao Minglu.
The exhibition will open on May 27th, 2017, at 4pm. It will be on until June 24th, 2017.
雎安奇
1975年出生于新疆乌鲁木齐，祖籍江苏南京。在北京电影学院导演系接受了电影教育。目前备受国际瞩目的中国新一代电影导演和当代艺术家之一。作品曾于巴黎蓬皮杜中心、纽约现代艺术博物馆、纽约古根海姆美术馆展出。现工作生活于北京。
Ju Anqi
Born in 1975 in Urumqi, Xinjiang Province, Ju Anqi graduated from Beijing Film Academy’s School of Film Directing. As one of the most widely recognized directors within China's "New Generation" of filmmakers and multi-media artists, Ju’s experimental films have been exhibited in the Centre Pompidou (Paris), MoMA (New York) and Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum (New York). Ju Anqi currently lives and works in Beijing.

在3画廊
在3画廊于2006年11月，成立于中国北京798艺术区。致力于在北京以及全球领域内展示和传播当代艺术，涵盖架上绘画、中国当代水墨和新工笔画派、雕塑、摄影、装置、行为等多种艺术创作形式。2012年创造中国-意大利当代艺术双年展，致力于推动两国当代艺术家及其作品，已经连续举办三届。
在3画廊在社会生活中倡导：艺术、生活、新知。在之后逐渐成熟的行动中，发展并不遗余力的支持具有强烈探索精神的艺术家创作及展览：艾未未、雎安奇、李占洋、孟煌、李日韦、陈丹阳、布克哈德、卡塔林娜、安德烈、九口走召等，探索深度涵盖美术史的一切可能媒介。
画廊早期以抽象水墨的当代视野进驻中国当代艺术界，即为较早深入探索中国当代抽象水墨的画廊；今天，这些与画廊合作的水墨艺术家已成为在国际高层次当代视觉艺术话语界的参与者。在过去的岁月中，画廊自始至终地支持着魏立刚、蓝正辉、吕鹏和苏锐等一批具有影响力的中国新水墨艺术家。
2014年6月，画廊迁址于北京塑料三厂文化园区内，地处草场地东北侧。由高大的厂房整理而成的空间，已成为国际收藏家、策展人以及艺术爱好者熟知的聚集场所。
