About Legends & Rumours
Using an elaborate game as a starting point, performers Phil Hayes, Maria Jerez and Thomas Kasebacher set out to ask themselves what turns a moment into a legend and whether it is possible to create a past out of the present. How do moments become stories and how do stories become legends? How do banal moments become great moments of history? How do stories consolidate into legends? How much destructiveness and destruction is necessary? If we treat the present as the past, can we talk about it differently, see things in a different light, and what happens when the events of the outside world start to collide with our own versions of the truth? Created a new each new evening, Legends & Rumours brings together three very different performing artists; Phil Hayes from Zurich, Maria Jerez from Madrid and Thomas Kasebacher from Vienna in an investigative collaborative process, on the hunt for some new legends. Everyday incidents are attributed historic dimensions, and finally, there is only one way out of these: the performance has to become a legend itself..

稀疏平常的舞台布景,简单朴素的装扮,一个场景与三个演员,这样的构造更像是一个简单的舞台小品。观众不会错过虚构场景的最微小的细节,因为演员开始移动的时候,每个布景都变成了道具,每句台词,每个动作都被赋予了意义,而坐在台下的你,将见证舞台情节如何在一瞬间得到发展。
这是一部需要你在场才能真正开始的剧目,除了你坐在那里,还需要你贡献出自己的智慧、选择和想象。我们知道这部剧会怎么开始,却不知道它会怎么结束。
导演将戏剧创作的过程搬到舞台上,每个演员都是这场戏的导演。场景不停的转换,情景不断重复,每个动作、每句台词都清清楚楚的告诉你,但是你却无法猜到他以什么样的方式呈现。因为他有很多即兴的,他们对时间,对真实的东西,对他们自己刚刚发生过去的东西,稍纵即逝的东西,开始产生很多怀疑,一直在找寻,在舞台上一直在找寻。

导演介绍 About the Director
菲尔·海耶斯是一位表演创作者、演员、导演和音乐家,他出生在英格兰南部海岸,就读于泰恩河畔的纽卡斯特大学创意艺术专业。之后的1985至1995年期间,他在此创作和生活。1998年,他在苏黎世通过FCP发行公司制作了自己的排演作品《等待之路》(2005年)、《首次下调》(2007年)、《我们身处何方》(2008)、《笨拙的人》(2011年)、《谎言传奇》(2013年)、《爱与幸福》(2014年)。菲尔同时也作为独立艺术家在排演作品、戏剧和音乐等领域积极的与其他艺术家和团体展开合作。2013年,苏黎世市市政厅表彰了他杰出的工作。2016年夏季开始,菲尔在苏黎世艺术大学作为客座艺术家进行为期一年的相关工作。
菲尔·海耶斯还会自己演话剧和电视剧,每年都会和不同的剧团参加世界巡演,表演自己的作品,或者他人的作品。正是由于自己有演戏的经验,才懂得如何调动演员的积极性,让戏剧更加深入人心。
Phil Hayes is a performance-maker, performer, actor, director and musician. He was born on the south coast of England, he studied Creative Arts in Newcastle upon Tyne. Based in Zurich since 1998 he creates his own performance work mainly under the label First Cut Productions, including Waiting For Rod (2005), The First Cut (2007), Where Were We (2008), Awkward Human (2011), Legends & Rumours (2013) and Love & Happiness (2015) internationally both with his own work and with other projects. He has been a regular collaborator with British performance group Forced Entertainment and with choreographer Simone Aughterlony. In 2013, he was awarded a Wirkstipendium prize by the city of Zurich for his work to date. Phil is currently Artist-In-Residence at the Zurich University of the Arts.

First Cut Productions is the label we have used for various projects since 2005. In 2010, it was registered as an Association (Verein) in Zurich, Switzerland. First Cut Productions currently receives three-year project funding from the city of Zurich.
