Walk With The Artists (A Research Camp on Residency Program)

1- 项目简介 | Project Description

“与艺术家同行”，顾名思义就是在艺术家创作的整个过程中，你都可以随时参与进来，观察，分享，交流。从而直接获得对艺术工作的全新认识，并且提出自己的角度和看法。

除了驻地艺术家之外, 工作室画廊项目空间对于其他参与者的意义并不只限于工作室开放日的成果汇报。更多值得我们去研究和探讨的话题往往出现在艺术家创作过程中的任意时间点。

"Walking With The Artist" as its name implies is that you can participate in the whole process of artist's creation. To observe, share and communicate with artist at any time. In this way, you will directly get a new understanding of art, and even put forward your own point views.

The significance of the Project Space for participants other than resident artists should not be just the final presentation at the OpenStudio Day. More topics worthy of our research and discussion usually appear at any point in the artist's creative process.

一个项目，从灵感的采集，到构思的形成，再到材料的转化和尝试，过程中每一次对的抑或是错的尝试，保留的与被摒弃的，都直接或间接地影响了最后作品的呈现。

A project, from the collection of inspirations, to the formation of ideas, then to material conversion and attempt, no matter right or wrong, retained or abandoned, will somehow affect the final presentation.

项目空间如此特殊的意义就在于它真实见证了这整个作品诞生的过程并且有条件去记录和分享每一个灵感诞生的瞬间，每一次尝试失败的经验。结果固然重要，但精心策划和选择过的艺术成果已经太稀松平常，或许生疏的，原始的，真实的创作过程，才能在某种层面上激发更多的灵感和共鸣。

The unique significance of the project space is that it truly witnesses the growth of the entire work and has the conditions to record and share the moments when all inspirations are born, and all the experiences of failures. The results are indeed important, but the artistic achievements that had been carefully planned and selected are maybe too commonplace.Perhaps the unfamiliar, primitive, and authentic creative processes can arouse more inspirations and resonances at some level.

4th Artist in residency : Mobi Dong

开放项目空间驻地计划给除了驻地艺术家之外的专业人士及艺术爱好者，对双方来说都意味着新的视野，未知的过程和更多新鲜的观点。更多值得研究的片段会被记录和讨论，进而启发更多的人走进艺术这扇门，换一个角度去看世界。

Opening the Project Space to art lovers and professionals instead of just to the resident artists, means a new vision；an unknown process and more fresh ideas for both parties. More fragments worth studying will be recorded and discussed, inspiring more people to step into the art, to see the world from a different perspective.

驻地项目研究计划是一个完全非盈利，依靠独立运营的画廊和社会资助的项目，为期一到两个月，根据不同项目灵活变动。为了保证艺术家独立的创作空间，每期研究计划最多四人，由项目负责人和艺术家共同进行选拔。参与者将会至少与艺术家在驻地期间进行四次工作室走访和谈话，并且可以实时通过在线观察艺术家的创作过程与艺术家进行讨论。

The Research Camp on Residency Program is a completely non-profit, socially funded project that runs separately from the gallery. Normally the program lasts for one to two months and is flexible depending on different projects. In order to ensure the artist's independent working space, each research camp has a maximum of four people, whom the project leader and artist will jointly select. Participants will have at least four times studio visit and talk with the artist during their residency, and they can observe the artist's creative process online and discuss with the artist anytime.

2 - 项目细则 | Camp Details

项目地点：工作室画廊_项目空间

项目时长：一至两个月

项目性质：非盈利，完全依靠画廊，社会和参与者自愿资助。

项目主体：驻地艺术家，项目空间负责人，项目参与者。

沟通方式：微信群组实时，工作室走访，参与讲座及工作室开放。

申请条件：艺术爱好者，青年艺术家或策展人，艺术撰稿人，艺术学院学生，私人藏家等

3 - 关于研究结果 | About Research Results

参与者将会至少与艺术家在驻地期间进行四次工作室走访和谈话，并且可以实时通过在线观察艺术家的创作过程并与艺术家进行讨论。每一位参与者在项目期间需要根据项目研究完成一篇文章，项目空间会进行存档并刊登于网站，官方微信，及艺术家讨论报纸。

Participants will have at least four times studio visit and talk with the artist during their residency, and they can observe the artist's creative process online and discuss with the artist anytime. During the project participation, an article needs to be completed according to the project research, and the project space will archive all the texts and to publish them on official wechat, website and ArtistTalk newspapers.

*驻地项目研究计划是一个由专业的负责人和艺术家参与的学术研究项目，我们要求参与者尽量参与所有项目活动和讨论，为了确保驻地项目的质量，项目负责人将保留终止参与者继续项目研究的权利。

*The Research Camp on Residency Program is an academic research project involving professional experts and artists. We require participants to participate in all project activities and discussions as much as possible. For keeping the best quality of project's outcome, the Project Space has the right to terminate the participants' program at any time.
