艺博会 | 没顶画廊参加巴塞尔LISTE艺术博览会

没顶画廊很荣幸在2019年LISTE艺术博览会中呈现艺术家苗颖2018年由香港M+美术馆委任创作的“硬核数据排毒”（HDD）及 2016年由纽约新美术馆委任创作的“Chinternet Plus” 系列作品。Please scroll down for English texts.

www.hardcoredigitaldetox.com 是由香港M+博物馆委托创作的一个全新策略型品牌概念网站。该系列作品围绕其概念品牌“HDD（Hardcore Digital Detox）”展开，呈现为宣传其最新创作的品牌概念策略网站而衍生的油画、雕塑、影像与VR装置等形态的作品。

人们似乎比任何时候都需要逃离科技的控制，当下流行的“数据排毒”是一个限制人们使用电子网络设备（如智能手机和电脑）的过程，这被推举为信息时代的新型养生方式；概念品牌“HDD（硬核数据排毒）”受到后物质社会中不断生成的生活方式品牌启发，他们靠销售生活方式来贩卖产品，而展览中苗颖也采取了这样的方式向观者推销策略性的生活方式建议。 HDD的硬核之处在于建议一种简单粗暴的“以毒攻毒”的数据排毒新方式，以此来达到出人意料的治疗效果。

2016年的项目 “Chinternet Plus” 是苗颖所描述的“假冒意识形态”的正式亮相，这是对互联网+最初战略的拙劣模仿。这项工作本质上是如何给一个空洞的想法打上烙印的指南，它表明，媒体可以很容易地成为信息传播的主流。

从墙的一边看，中国的互联网似乎是一片贫瘠的荒地，然而，尽管有其局限性，它仍在不断发展壮大 - 甚至比墙外的网络还要快。新的模型迅速产生，取决于地下文化决定如何与中国特色的主流文化和互联网相关联，即自我审查。如果你知道有些东西会被审查，你可以绕过它，使用同音异义词，编造新词，等等，这些都涉及到幽默感和智慧。你会被富有创造力的网民所震惊。中国互联网的局限性让它变得自由。

苗颖 生于上海。2007年毕业于中国美术学院新媒体系，获学士学位；2009年毕业于纽约州立大学阿尔弗莱德艺术设计学院电子综合艺术专业，获硕士学位；现工作、生活于上海和纽约。 

她的作品形式多样，着重讨论了主流技术和当代意识及其对我们日常生活的影响，以及通过技术表现现实的政治、审美和意识的新模式。她有意将幽默感运用到她的作品中，并将其与文化和社会政治权力的斯德哥尔摩症候群联系起来，如审查制度和自我审查、数据过滤分析算法的泡沫、政治意导的生活方式和意识形态等。

MadeIn Gallery is pleased to present in LISTE 2019 Miao Ying's artwork series "Hardcore Digital Detox" (HDD) commissioned by M+ Museum (HK) and "Chinternet Plus"  commissioned by New Museum (New York) created between 2016 to 2018.

www.hardcoredigitaldetox.com is a strategic brand and concept website commissioned by Hong Kong’s M+ Museum. The series revolves around the artist's concept brand "HDD (Hardcore Digital Detox)", showcased in the form of VR devices, video, oil paintings and sculptures, all derived from HDD concept strategy website.

It appears that people need to escape the control of technology more than ever. The popular "data detox", a process that restricts the usage of electronic networking devices such as smartphones and computers, has been touted as a new form of health maintenance in the information age. The concept brand "HDD (Hardcore Digital Detox)" is inspired by the lifestyle branding constantly generated in the post-material society. Those brands market their products by selling specific lifestyles. In this exhibition, Miao also adopts such an approach to distribute strategic lifestyle advice to the audience. The hardcore of HDD is the suggestion of a new, crude method of "fighting fire with fire" data detoxification to achieve unexpected therapeutic effects.

Miao’s project Chinternet Plus (2016) is what she describes as the official unveiling of a “counterfeit ideology,” a parodic take on the original strategy of Internet Plus. The work is essentially a guide for how to brand an insubstantial idea, suggesting that, in the case of political branding in particular, media can easily stand in for the message.

From one side of the wall, the Chinese internet appears to be a barren wasteland, yet despite its limitations, it has been evolving and growing—even faster than the net outside the wall. New memes are created rapidly, depending on what underground culture decides to make pertaining to mainstream culture and internet with Chinese characteristics, which is self-censorship. If you know something will be censored, you can go around it, using homophones, making up new words, etc., which all involve a sense of humor and intelligence. You will be shocked by how creative netizens are. The limit of the Chinese internet is what sets it free.

Miao Ying  was born in Shanghai, China. She holds an MFA in Electronic Integrated Arts from the School of Art and Design at Alfred University and a BFA in New Media Arts from China Academy of Fine Arts. She resides in New York and Shanghai.

Her works inhabit multiple forms and highlights the attempts to discuss mainstream technology and contemporary consciousness and it’s impact on our daily lives, along with the new modes of politics, aesthetics and consciousness created during the representation of reality through technology. She deliberately applies a thread of humor to her works and addresses her Stockholm Syndrome relationship with cultural and socio-political power, such as censorship and self-censorship, algorithemic filter bubbles, political lifestyle branding and ideologies in general.
