金小璱的策展实践聚焦于当下社会问题、社会介入及人际关系,并深受法国哲学家、评论家、策展人尼古拉斯·博瑞奥德“关系美学”理论的影响。这是一种参与、社会互动和际遇的艺术创作方式——“其理论和实践观念的出发点是整个人际关系及社会语境,而非独立、私人的空间”。

此次讲座将谈及2017年金小璱为大浦地区当地人策划的社区项目,旨在记录“彩虹产业园区”的发展过程和“Hongti村”的消失。策展人及艺术家群体“落区”街坊,与当地居民共同收集图像和声音,使用居民自制的暗盒相机绘制地图,交织着日常经验与私人记忆的“档案”借由一场松散而即兴的集体现场行为得以留存。

作为韩国釜山当代艺术博物馆策展人,金小璱将介绍釜山当代艺术博物馆自2018年夏季开馆以来的展览项目。此外,她也将首次向观众介绍即将于今年9月开幕的新展“可善的外邦人:即将来临的共同体”(Gentil gentile: La comunita che viene)。本次展览将展出艺术家杨正旭(Yang Jung Uk)和艺术组合 Mixrice(Cho Ji Eun 和 Yang Chul Mo)的作品,旨在向当地社区传播特殊性和普遍性的议题。其中,Mixrice的艺术实践关注现代社会中移民社群的移动轨迹、过程,路线及结果,并以多层次方法进行记忆挖掘。在本次展览中,他们将与本地的外国人社区一起举办工作坊活动,并将工作坊的成果在展厅内呈现。

关于讲者





金小璱(Kim Sosul)是韩国釜山当代艺术博物馆(Museum of Contemporary Art Busan)的策展人。在韩国昌原国立大学(Changwon National University)获得艺术硕士学位后,金小璱进入庆南道立美术馆(Gyeongnam Art Museum)策展部工作。之后,她作为Hongti艺术中心(Hongti Art Center)的项目协调员组织了许多本土艺术项目,专注于文化交流项目和艺术教育项目方向的公共艺术。


受到乔治·阿甘本(Giorgio Agamben)和齐格蒙·鲍曼(Zygmunt Bauman)的两位哲学家理念的启发,金小璱计划从社会学的角度对共同体(社区)进行研究。这项研究涵盖艺术领域的许多主题,包括策展研究、当代艺术家、艺术项目、展览以及发生在中国的特定叙事。

How do community art practices in Busan connect with the development and decline of the city? How does the museum observe and respond to changes in the community between the old and the new without departing from seeking novelty? Can museum construct an independent and conscious platform for cultural exchanges within the community?

Kim Sosul’s curatorial practice focuses on social issues, social involvement and interpersonal relationships, and is hugely influenced by the notion of “Relational Aesthetics” developed by French philosopher, critic and curator Nicholas Bourriaud. The term refers to the art practice of participation, social interaction and encounters – “a set of artistic practices which take as their theoretical and practical point of departure the whole of human relations and their social context, rather than an independent and private space."

This talk will bring up the community project curated by Kim Sosul for local residents in Dadaepo Area, aiming to document the process of developing of the “Rainbow Industrial Complex” and the disappearing of “Hongti Village”. The curators and artist groups blend into the neighborhood, collecting images and sounds with local residents, using their self-made Obscura Camera to map the district. "Archives" interweaved by daily experiences and private memories were retained by this loose and impromptu collective behavior.

As the curator of the Busan Museum of Contemporary Art in Korea, Kim will introduce the exhibition projects of the museum since its inauguration in the summer of 2018. In addition, she will, for the first time, introduce to the audience the upcoming exhibition Gentil gentile: La comunita che viene, which will take place this September. This exhibition will feature artist Yang Jung Uk and art collective Mixrice (Cho Ji Eun and Yang Chul Mo), aiming to disseminate the issues of specificity and universality to the local community. Among them, Mixrice focus on the traces and process of ‘immigration’, the route and result, and exploration of memories in multi-layered approach method. For this exhibition, they will conduct a workshop with the local foreign community and the outcome of this workshop will be presented in the exhibition space.

About the Speaker


Kim Sosul is a curator at the Museum of Contemporary Art Busan (MoCA Busan) in Korea. After graduating with a Master of Fine Arts (M.F.A.) from Changwon National University, Kim worked for the Curatorial Department at Gyeongnam Art Museum. After that, she organized numerous local art programs as a Program Coordinator at the Hongti Art Center, focusing on public art for both the cultural exchange program and the art education program. 


Kim also possesses a strong interest concerning the ideologies of two philosophers, Giorgio Agamben and Zygmunt Bauman. Inspired by the concepts of these two philosophers, Kim plans to conduct a research on communities from the sociological point of view. In addition, this research will cover an abundance of topics in the realm of art, including curatorial research, contemporary artists, art projects, exhibitions and events in terms of specific narratives that took place in China.
