你正开启门？还是关上它？要往户外去？还是回屋里？这是张英楠的自问。门外的风景，看似静谧却又乌云密布，充满机会又暗藏危险，不知道下一秒会不会飘雨。在现实与虚拟交织密切的生活里，每个人都像陀螺一样忙(盲)转，对于心中美好的风景充满幻想，又担心会像海市蜃楼般消失。这一刻，我们该如何选择?

‘Are you opening the door or closing it? Going out or returning to the house?’ Zhang Yingnan asks himself in the work Night Breeze. The landscape outside the door seems tranquil and cloudy alike, full of chance as well as danger. There is no knowing whether it’s going to rain in the next second. Oscillating between reality and the virtual, everyone is as busy and blind as a spinning top in our everyday life. An ideal scenery dwells in our mind, but we are worried that it’s just like a castle in the air. At this moment, how do we make a choice?

张英楠（b.1981）

Zhang Yingnan

张英楠毕业于西安美术学院油画系，他透过对于自然景观与基础几何的造型揉合，让作品带有一种特殊微妙的孤独与疏离感。张英楠的作品早在七年前就被著名音乐人、收藏家姚谦收藏，这件作品更成为记录姚谦 20 多年收藏记录片---电影《一个人的收藏》的宣传海报。除此之外，2017 年他共有五件作品被澳洲白兔美术馆典藏。2018、2019 两届香港巴塞尔艺术展上，凭藉作品中利落的空间感、神秘的色彩搭配以及特别的古典主义氛围，张英楠受到海内外艺术爱好者和藏家的一致赞许。

Graduating from the Oil Painting Department of Xi'an Academy of Fine Arts, Zhang Yingnan integrates natural landscape with basic geometrical patterns to cultivate a subtle sense of loneliness and alienation in his works. His work was collected by famous musician and collector Yao Chien back in 2010 and became the poster of the film My Dear Art, which documents Yao’s collection in the past twenty years. Besides, five of Zhang’s works were collected by the White Rabbit Gallry in Australia. In the exhibitions of 2018 and 2019 Art Basel Hong Kong, the artist’s works were popular among both domestic and international art lovers and collectors and were critically acclaimed for their clean-cut deployment of space, mysterious use of colors as well as the distinctive atmosphere of Classicism.
