The aim of the project is to obtain an observation of "movement" and "force" as detailed as possible. Or to say, trying to look into the nature of the "changing" and "unchanging". For instance, a tiny movement of the earth, which impact is insignificant to itself, could vastly change the human destiny. In the same way, a tiny movement happened inside a man's heart (through art, for instance), will do nothing to the world. But for the man himself, everything could may completely different.

The title “Refresh, Sacrifice, New Hygiene, Rag, Canvas, Chou Yu-Cheng, Dining table, Wiping, Everyday, Ink Rhyme, Image, Album” comes from hashtags on social media. On the canvas, I try to imagine when cleaning the dinning table after meal, and how the cleaning cloth repeatively leaves ink-like traces on its surface, seemingly penetrating between the action of daily cleaning and the medium of art.

The "Watercolor" series, which is derived from the gradient paintings, is based on the feature of water-based pigments. By mixing and dissolving two or more dissimilar pigments and letting it flow on the paper, it produces a natural phenomenon where dissimilar colors precipitate and separate. By repetition of such operation, it results in a color gradient. The pigments are extracted from resources on earth like natural minerals, metals and plants. As such, by the material properties of the pigments, the "Watercolor" series brings the light of earth and the accumulation of time, and the crystallization of matter resulting from material rheology.
