For a long time,

 We deeply believe that

"It is a virtue to let people speak out".

We want to hear more real and powerful voices,
Stick to this concept,
After a series of thinking and preparation,
 Starting from our own industry,

We proudly launched our

 "Tucao 吐槽" Totes

"Tucao 吐槽", in the context of Chinese,

means those statements which are often complaints or irony in a humorous tone.

We initiated a collaboration with our artists,

inviting them to make

the funniest and the sharpest

 “Tucao 吐槽” (Statements)

towards Art & Life.

And then, we made our “Tucao吐槽” Totes

We sincerely wish

this creative project will provoke your critical thinking, and facilitate everyone to form your own “Tucao 吐槽”

about everything, not just about art!

Now,

Let's get started,

.

"Want to be Rich? Be an Artist!"

This tote is in collaboration with artist Jiadong Liu

“要想富搞艺术”

"Want to be Rich? Be an Artist!"

The first TOTE we want to show you is the " Want to be Rich? Be an Artist!", this statement derives from the artist Jiadong Liu’s memory of the art market ten years ago. Actually, before the economic crisis in 2008, producing artworks is very profitable in China. "Want to be Rich? Be an Artist!" was no more a secret among some artists. Today, Liu selected this sentence as his “Tucao 吐槽”, not only to mock those who were eager to seek fortune through art ten years ago, but also to uncover the dilemma for artists in the contemporary world where “Art for art's sake” or “Art for money's sake” are both going on parade.

“Want to be rich? Better to go stock trading! ”

"Art Is Not Treating Meals"

This tote is in collaboration with artist Yangbiao Zhang

艺术不是请客吃饭”

☞ Art Is Not Treating Meals

Chairmen MAO once said "Revolution is not treating meals". In China, it is a famous slogan that means one should take voluntary participation into revolution. Today, our artist Yangbiao Zhang mimicked the sentence saying, “Art is not treating meals”. For Zhang, art is his way of expression. He finds even a roll of toilet paper or a pair of rubber gloves to be inspiring and then embed his feelings in his paintings.

“The still life is beautiful itself, while in daily life people tend not to notice its beauty inside. People are ignited a sense of poetry, and then reflect their feeling on those still lifes. If they do so, they may obtain a feeling of beauty by themselves.” said Zhang.

“If I do not have the desire, I will not pick up my airbrush. ”
