在莫里斯的实践中都可以看到标记的运动和节奏，她的原始手势绘画实践无缝转变为挂毯作品，充满着超自然叙述的意味。这些精心缝制的作品保持了草图的自由，进一步挑战了她的雕塑作品「Flower Women」，将笔触从纸上拉扯下来变成丝线，每一根线条都栩栩如生。

在过去十年里，莫里斯痴迷于抽象和颜色的分离，解构与重组碎片来达到一个和谐的整体。通过找寻内在的能量，让生命得以从简单的线条、堆积或绘画中展现出来。「网格 Grid」是莫里斯创作的重要元素，这一系列也是她对颜色、丝线和金属的一种探索，色线是手工缝制，比绘画更具雕塑感。在这里，线的柔然和金属的坚固结合在一起形成连续、层次丰富的结构。类似绘画的过程，莫里斯通过色线自然地改变了颜色和笔触的呈现方式，捕捉喜悦的本质。

对于这位近年新晋的代理艺术家，泰勒画廊创办人秦睦（Timothy Taylor）说：“她对艺术史的批判性参与，显而易见地体现在她的实践中。她对材料的应用，既非常个人，又有着形式上的独特。安妮与画廊的项目天然契合。在她的作品里，我既看到了安东尼·塔皮埃斯（Antoni Tàpies）对肌理的投入，也看到了奇奇·史密斯（Kiki Smith）对自然和灵性的思考。”

水泥材质的巨型球状雕塑像一个个“巨人石阵”林立在木质地板上，画廊户外也站立着一件。大小不一的“圆球”被挨个儿串起，支撑这些活泼自由的球体的骨架结构是一根被隐藏在中间的钢管。展厅中，大型“球串”多由8-9颗表面施以高纯度颜料的雕塑球组成，另外也有两组略微小巧的“小球串”穿插其中，像是“未成年”版的“球柱人”，俨然一片生命景象。Installation view: Annie Morris. © Timothy Taylor
展厅墙面上悬挂着几件莫里斯的彩色挂毯作品，形式主义上的构图问题通过网格解决了。挂毯上，个人密码与抽象标记被有机结合在一起，它们是莫里斯的独特词典，记载了她直观的又极具想象力的形象语言。
