Two maps accompany your birth.
One is hidden in the sky and connected by ancient stars. It takes a long time to traverse all the tracks on this map, so you don't always understand it until much later.
The other is carved on the top of your head, woven with blood vessels and bone tissues. As your life unfolds, the path mends itself: the corner islands disappear, the walls of the border thicken, until the map becomes a maze.
It's a shame that these maps are either incomprehensibly distant or painfully close to you so you can’t perceive either. But you still know them like knowing one's body under the skin, or an unknown ancestor, or knowledge that one gains in a dream.
...and when a voice in your dream asks, “I am a pearl, I come from a clam. Where are you from?”
You remember being a baby many years ago and say: “I am born from the abyss.”
