复星艺术中心“OSGEMEOS: YOU ARE MY GUEST来者皆是客”正在火热当展中。当你想起奥斯吉美奥斯的作品时,首先出现在脑海里的肯定是巨大的圆脸卡通形象以及色彩斑斓,具有梦幻色彩的装置艺术,这两样已经成为了他们的标志。但奥斯吉美奥斯的作品其实远比我们看上去的要更有趣且复杂。The exhibition of "OSGEMEOS: YOU ARE MY GUEST" is currently underway at Fosun Foundation Shanghai. When you recall works by OSGEMEOS,the first image that come to mind are the big round yellow characters and the colourful, dreamlike installations that became their trademark. But the works by OSGEMEOS are even more interesting and complex than it may seem.
双胞胎兄弟经常将二手的物件转换成别具一格的艺术作品,可以说是“艺术源于生活,又高于生活”理论的最佳实践。奥斯吉美奥斯习惯将马路上寻到的废弃物(例如,门板,窗户,门框,窗框,镜子,相框,收音机等等)收集起来,并通过绘画的艺术处理 赋予它们新的意义。The artists often incorporate second-hand objects into their original art, a gesture that can be linked to both ‘high art’ principles and ‘ordinary culture. Osgemeos are used to collecting the wastes found on the road (for example, door panels, windows, door frames, window frames, mirrors, photo frames, radios, etc.) and giving them new meanings through the artistic treatment of painting.

They will imitate the Brazilian civilian class and paint old objects with a new layer to prolong their "life". To those societies, what was thought to be temporary solutions become permanent over time due to the lack of means to substitute old, frail objects for new, stable ones.因而,奥斯吉美奥斯事实上是将那些处于边缘,不为人所重视的物件带到了视觉艺术和感官的领域,其代表的朝不保夕和摇摇欲坠的生活同样具有诗意,而这正是艺术家想展现给我们的意象。本次讲座以“困境中的诗意”为题,将探讨艺术家如何将那些处于边缘,不为人所重视的物件作为意象带到视觉艺术的领域,展现在我们眼前。Therefore, OSGEMEOS actually brought those marginal and neglected objects to the field of visual arts and senses. The precarious and crumbling life is also poetic, and this is the image that artists want to show us. The talk aims to debate the so-called ‘precarious poetry’ through which OS GEMEOS propose their iconography, as they bring to the domain of the visible pieces and narratives that often belong to the margins.

She graduated from the Royal College of Art, London, England, majoring in art and design writing, focusing on surrealist women, especially the works of Brazilian sculptor Maria Martins, who lived and created in New York in the 1940s.

Deputy Consul General for the Federative Republic of Brazil in Shanghai马安文先生自2018年起担任巴西驻沪总领事馆副总领事兼文化教育处主管。之前曾在巴西驻意大利,突尼斯,梵蒂冈大使馆以及巴西驻蒙得维的亚总领事馆任职。身为外交官的他还是一名职业作家(已出版三部小说)和音乐爱好者。Counselor Mário Antonio de Araújo has been Deputy Consul-General of Brazil in Shanghai since 2018. Prior to his transfer to Shanghai, he served at the Brazilian Embassies in Rome, Tunis and the Vatican, and also at the Consulate General in Montevideo. In addition to being a diplomat, he is a writer, with three published fiction books, and an amateur musician.
