我们的身体以及这个宇宙中所有物质都是承载我们的器具，而这个器世界内的一切都在经历成、住、坏、空，《器世界骑士》中的角色背景有经过基因编辑的人类，外骨骼机械强化后的人机合成体，以及难以用生命体来界定的机器人，他们战斗着又辩论着这个世界的终极无解的问题，而这些问题的争论又和我们切身感受的情绪苦乐有何关系？

作品的拍摄场景是在熊本市现代美术馆特摄展上的城市模型景观，整个场景由著名特摄公司Marbling Fine Arts制作，他们也是新哥斯拉以及众多奥特曼影片的场景制作，邀请著名特摄导演三池敏夫执导拍摄，制作人佐佐木玄太郎。

演员阵容邀请日本著名机器人偶像组合组合nyoROBOTtics、东京著名外骨骼机器人公司Skeletonics携带由机械模型设计师Ikeuchi Hiroto设计的外骨骼机器人携穿戴式机械模型在影片中进行表演。

器世界骑士 The New Material Knight

Our body and all materials in the universe are externalizations of our existence. Everything that exists in the new material world goes through Four Kalpas（四劫）, the four periods of time in Buddhist cosmology corresponding to the four stages in the cycle of formation, continuance, decline, and disintegration（成、往、坏、空）. In The New Material Knight, three species of intelligent life, human clones, exoskeleton-enhanced biomechanical synthesis cyborgs, and AI-powered humanoid robots, fight and struggle with ultimate and unsolved questions of our universe that seem to have a subtle relationship to the human sensation of pleasure and suffering.

Part of the work was filmed using the urban model landscape at the Tokusatsu (special filming) exhibition of Contemporary Art Museum Kumamoto, and invited the Japanese Cosplay group nyoROBOTtics and mechanical model designer Ikeuchi Hiroto to perform while wearing mechanical models.

陆扬，艺术家，工作、生活于上海，陆扬毕业于中国美术学院新媒体艺术系，并获得硕士学位。他创作的作品通常关于死亡、性（或无性）、精神疾病以及真实生命体与神灵结合的神经结构。陆扬的艺术探索沉浸于动漫、电子游戏和科幻的亚文化中，他善于利用多种媒介，包括3D影像、视频游戏装置、全息图、霓虹灯、VR，甚至是软件操作。其作品很明显带有日本动漫的影响。同时，他在作品中也融入狂躁的电子音乐。他经常与表演者、设计师、实验作曲家、机器人公司和偶像明星合作。

他的作品曾多次参加在国内外重要展览展出，其中包括：2020年蓬皮杜艺术中心，2019年泰国曼谷双年展，2019年特拉维夫当代艺术中心，2018年和2012年上海双年展，2018年雅典双年展，2016年利物浦双年展，2016年蒙特利尔国际数码艺术双年展，2015年第56届威尼斯双年展中国馆，以及2014年福冈亚洲艺术三年展，尤伦斯当代艺术中心（北京，2011）、“重新发电——2012 上海双年展”（上海, 2012）、蓬皮杜艺术中心（巴黎，2013）、里昂当代美术馆（里昂，2013）、“Momentum，CAC/Chronus Art Center”（柏林，2014）、坦帕艺术博物馆、圣彼德斯堡美术馆（佛罗里达，2014）、“第五届福冈亚洲艺术三年展”（福冈，2014）、“第四届莫斯科国际青年艺术双年展”（莫斯科，2014）等。

Lu Yang (b. Shanghai, China) is a multi-media artist based in ShanghaI. He graduated from China Academy of Art, New Media MFA. Mortality, androgyny, hysteria, existentialism and spiritual neurology feed Lu’s jarring and at times morbid fantasies. Also taking inspiration and resources from Anime, gaming and Sci-fi subcultures, Lu explores his fantasies through mediums including 3D animation, immersive video game installation, holographic, live performances, virtual reality, and computer programming. Lu has collaborated with scientists, psychologists, performers, designers, experimental composers, Pop Music producers, robotics labs, and celebrities throughout his practice.

Lu Yang has held exhibitions in Centre Pompidou(Paris), UCCA (Beijing), MWoods (Beijing), Bangkok Art Biennale,(Bangkok), The Center for Contemporary Art(Tel Aviv),Spiral (Tokyo), Fukuoka Museum of Asian Art (Fukuoka, Japan), Société (Berlin), MOCA Cleveland (Cleveland, Ohio). He has participated in several international biennials and triennials such as 2012 & 2018 Shanghai Biennial, 2018 Athens Biennale, 2016 Liverpool Biennial, 2016International Digital Art Biennale (Montreal), China Pavilion, the 56th Venice Biennale, and 2014 Fukuoka Triennial.
