director of Industrial Design Engineering Degree Evaluation Committee of Tongji University, Director of Intangible Cultural Heritage Research Center. Academic Director of Key Laboratory of the Ministry of Digital Performing Arts Integration and Innovation, and member of Teaching Steering Committee in Industrial Design of the Ministry of Education. He has mainly engaged in the research of design behavior and cognition. He has won Top10 Chinese Industrial Design Educator and Theoretical Contribution Award of Chinese Industrial Design in 10 Years.

Summary：Diversity of creative behaviors promotes the output of creative results, and design is the most representative in human’s creative activity. In the context of AI, big data and sustainable development, the fields of design are expanding rapidly in new values, methods and tools, etc. On the one hand, design innovation has become the driving factor of social development, and on the other hand, the innovation ability of design should be improved imperiously. Categorization is the origin of human cognition. The essence of design behavior is to expand, combine, integrate and surpass existing categories to create more new notional categories. Innovation is building relationships between different conceptual categories, and the power of creativity is the ability to create new conceptual categories.
