陈剑兵，走出了大漆艺术自己的独立

陈剑兵的符箓系列创作，是在书写方式下的抽象表现。这甚让我感到其视觉形式和造型结构充满着流动性、连贯性和韵律感。他的作品，其为用之线条，乃是游走在东西方指涉之间，借助宇宙、天地、自然的意图表达，而挖掘以古老神秘的精神力量；这就一定程度地区隔了西方语系的坐标倾向。

Chen Jianbing's Talisman series is an abstract expression of his writingstyle. It even makes me feel that the visual form and the modelling structureare full of fluidity, coherence and rhythm. The lines used in his works wanderbetween both eastern and western references, drawing on the intentions of theuniverse, heaven and earth, and nature, while exploring ancient and mysteriousspiritual forces; this to some extent separates the coordinate tendency ofwestern language systems.

他的作品，是一种不断延续的意境；这种意境体现在每一根线条里。这些线条，时而疏密不齐，时而坚实浓厚，时而虚幻轻柔，向着画面的四边不断地延伸和扩展。这些线条相互呼应、相互重叠，观者能透过其线条感受到更下一层的深度空间，最终可以领悟到一个逻辑语汇构建着了的某种世界景象……这就是陈剑兵的艺术世界。

His work is a continuous imagery; this imagery is reflected in every line.These lines, sometimes sparse and dense, sometimes solid and thick, sometimesillusory and gentle, extend and expand towards the four sides of the picture.These lines echo and overlap with each other, and the viewer can feel a deeperspace through them, thus ultimately comprehending a certain world sceneconstructed by a logical vocabulary. ......This is the art world of ChenJianbing.

倘若我们想像一下我们当下身处的环境，我们不也正被无数根线所缠绕吗？

网络、电波、磁场……文化上的种种思想，艺术上的各式主义；是的，我们无不被这些看得见、看不见的所缠绕；至少对于我来说，陈剑兵的作品暗示出了这些“线”无处不在的、却也不一样的现实！

If we imagine our current environment, are we not also entangled in amyriad of lines?

The internet, the radio waves, the magnetic field ......, all sorts ofideas in culture, all kinds of doctrines in art; yes, we are all tangled withthese visible or invisible ones; at least for me, Chen Jianbing’s works suggestthe ubiquitous “lines” but a different reality!

符箓背后暗藏的天地旨意

儿时的我，是受农耕社会文化所浸染的，这过程使得我的心智发展自然地也就接受了祖辈朴素的宗教信仰影响。宗教之于人，很重要的一个“现场实证”，是通过墨箓丹书这些物件，并贯以我们的主观能动力，来进行人的认知、通达与客观世界，或者说神灵世界完成某一目标的对话，藉此掌握某种精神力量的回醒。另外，我长年从事漆艺髹饰工作，它总让我沉醉其中，慢慢感受到它的不可确定却又无限可能的变幻刺激；从宗教，到大漆，这两种东方文化属性的际遇交错，就逐渐成为我对生命感知的主要渠道。而它，也正是我艺术创作过程一直心心念念不曾放下过的心思。

During my childhood, I was impregnated by the agrarian society culture,which naturally influenced my mental development by the simple religiousbeliefs of my ancestors. Religion is a very important “live evidence” forpeople, and it is through these objects, such as ink, oracles and books, aswell as through our subjective energy, to develop human cognition andunderstanding, to complete a dialogue with the objective world or the divineworld to achieve a certain goal, thereby acquiring some kind of spiritual power’sawakening. In addition, I have been involved in lacquer painting for manyyears, which has always enthralled me, and I have slowly felt its uncertaintyand yet infinite possibilities of change and stimulation; from religion tolacquer, the intersection of these two oriental cultural attributes hasgradually become the main channel of my life perception, and it is preciselywhat I have been thinking about in my artistic process.

展览《髹饰·箓》以原始的符箓纹为其基本素材。我试图重新定义这些图像，通过不确定的语境、多维性的表意构成进行分解、重组既有图像，创造更多的可能性。或者说，以个人方式与宇宙万物交流、与神灵对话。希望从中挖掘出符箓形态背后暗藏的一些天地旨意；并通过抽象化的手法、个人主观掷入式的思维力，来与它们进行一次次的情感共鸣！

This exhibition Lacquer Coated Wares Oracles used primitive patternsof talisman and oracle as basic material. I try to redefine these images, todecompose and restructure existing images through the indeterminate contexts,multi-dimensional ideological compositions, to create more possibilities; orrather, to communicate with the universe and dialogue with the divine in apersonal way. I hope to uncover some of the hidden meanings of heaven and earthbehind the talisman and oracle forms; and through abstraction methods and myown subjective thrown-in thinking power, I have resonated with these talismansagain and again!

当然，每一件的作品，其“意义”是因人而异，因你而异；因每个人的每个当下之际遇，而异！这，便是我的展览用意了。

Certainly, the “meaning” of each piece of work varies from person toperson, from you to you; and from one person to another, depending on thecircumstances of the moment! This, is what I intend to do with the exhibition.
