麦勒画廊荣幸地宣布我们将参加2021年上海廿一当代艺术博览会。麦勒画廊一直致力于在国际领域展示和传播当代艺术,在瑞士卢森和中国北京开展工作。我们将于此次博览会展出以下来自中国和西方的成熟及新锐艺术家的一系列最新作品:

Galerie Urs Meile is honored to announce its participation in the 2021 Shanghai ART021 Art Fair. Galerie Urs Meile has always been dedicated to the exhibition and promotion of contemporary art on an international scale, and operates in Lucerne, Switzerland and Beijing, China. At the art fair, we will be presenting new works by the following rising and mature artists from China and the West:


曹雨(1988年生于辽宁)的创作横跨摄影、短片、多媒体装置、表演、雕塑、架上等多元媒介,她的最新个展“路过人间”于今年夏季在麦勒画廊北京展出,作品单刀直入并试图一针见血地深入探讨并剖析人性这一终极命题。我们将于本次博览会展出其最新创作的作品《龙头》。
Cao Yu's (b. 1988, Liaoning) creations span photography, short film, multimedia installation, performance, sculpture and on-canvas art. Her latest solo exhibition “Passing Through the Human World” opened this summer at Galerie Urs Meile Beijing. The works in this exhibition attempt to cut right to the heart of the ultimate theme of human nature. At the fair, we will present her latest work.

陈作(1990年生于湖南)于2015年、2021年先后毕业于中央美术学院油画系专业,分别获得学士、硕士学位。绘画是陈作的主要艺术实践,一个形状、一块颜色、一个物体,甚至一段记忆都可能成为他绘画的灵感。艺术家选择这些能让其共情的“物”作为开始,以个人的体验在一个更加宏观及遥远的背景中找到一种隐喻、反讽,或者抒情的呼应关系。陈作的绘画既体现出精准的技法与绘画严苛的戒律,又富含饱满的情绪,并蕴含着丰富性与偶然性,并与现实生活的经验和记忆紧密相关。

Chen Zuo (b. 1990, Hunan) received his BFA and MFA in oil painting from the Central Academy of Fine Arts in 2015 and 2021. Painting is at the center of Chen Zuo’s artistic practice. A shape, a color, an object, even a memory can serve as aninspiration for his paintings. The artist selects these emotionally resonant “objects” as the beginning of a search through individual experience for metaphorical, satirical or cathartic relationships against a broader or more distant background. Chen Zuo’s painting embodies precise technique and exacting discipline, yet is also brimming with emotion, encompassing richness and serendipity, and tightly linked to real life experience and memory.

观念雕塑艺术家胡庆雁(1982年生于山东)的全新作品《寂静的世界I》延续了胡庆雁近年来一直探索的主题——“空”。与此同时,也为中性、冰冷的材料注入细腻而个人化的情绪因子。“寂静的世界” 不仅是某种个人化的情绪 表达,更是具有公共性的观察和内省,启发观者重新打量喧闹的世界,以及纷繁芜杂的内心。

Conceptual sculptor Hu Qingyan's (b.1982, Shandong) new work The World of Silence I continues Hu Qingyan’s exploration of the theme of “emptiness.” It also imbuesthis neutral, cold material with tender, individual human sentiment. “The World of Silence” is not just an expression of individual sentiments, but observation and introspection of a public nature, inspiring the viewer to reassess the clamorous world and the cluttered mind.

鞠婷(1983年生于山东)的作品兼具绘画和雕塑的特征,并模糊了这两个传统媒介之间的界限。我们此次将展出鞠婷最新创作的 《琥珀》及《凛冬将至》系列。和前几个系列相比,“琥珀”系列在创作方式上得到了演化和递进。“琥珀”系列的画面上首次出现了彩色几何形象,远处看起来像是宝石内光线折射的空间幻觉。走近时,复杂而饱和的细节形成迷人的视觉效果,将之前具象的视觉印象打散消弭。鞠婷个展“风动”于今年秋季在麦勒画廊卢森部举办,麦勒画廊北京部也将于12月初揭幕其最新个展。

Ju Ting’s (b. 1983, Shandong) works possess traits of both painting and sculpture, and blur the lines between these two traditional mediums. At the fair, we will be presenting her latest “Amber” and “Winter is Coming” series. The “Amber” series marks an evolution and progression increative methods from previous series. Colorful geometric images appear in the picture for the first time, appearing from a distance to be spatial illusions caused by the refraction of light within gemstones. Up close, the complex, saturated details produce an enchanting visual effect, dispelling previous visual impressions of figuration. Ju Ting’s solo exhibition When the Wind Comes opened at Galerie Urs Meile Lucerne this fall. Her latest solo exhibition will open at Galerie Urs Meile Beijing in early December.

我们还将展示李钢(1986年生于云南大理)使用纸币创作的极具代表性的《肤色》系列作品,探讨人、货币和艺术品之间的互动关系。李钢善于运用生活中不同的媒介与材料进行美学探索与实践。最新装置作品《ekpameu》的作品名由艺术家将隐藏在蛐蛐鸣叫声里的摩斯密码输入翻译软件得来,艺术家将叫声里的摩斯密码烧制成了一串红色的玻璃代码。

We will also present Li Gang’s (b.1986, Dali, Yunnan) highly representative “Skin Colour” series. Made from banknotes, these works explore the interactions between people, money and artworks. Li Gang is adept at the use of different materials and mediums in his aesthetic explorations and practices. His latest installation work ekpameu gets its title from the Morsecode concealed within undulating birdsong, as interpreted by translation software. The artist has fired the Morse code into a string of code in red glass.

此外,我们还将展出艺术家孟煌(1966年生于北京)关于竹子和空间的写生绘画作品,艺术家将自己置于沉浸式“绘画训练”中,在小尺幅画面中呈现了其对于空间和情感的捕捉。

We will also present life studies exploring bamboo and space by artist Meng Huang (b. 1966, Beijing). The artist has placed himself in a state of “painting training,” these small paintings revealing his grasp of space and emotion.

邱世华(1940年生于四川)的消色画如同一道道内心风景,有无相生,在可见与不可见,物质景象与身体感知之间距离逐渐缩短的过程中,湖泊、松林、山峰、峦坡跃然布上,无限的可能性出现在视觉局限被超越之处。

Qiu Shihua's (b. 1940, Sichuan) faint color paintings are like a series of inner landscapes of the mind, where substance and emptiness give rise to one another. As the distance between visible and invisible, material visionand bodily perception begins to recede, lakes, pine forests, mountain peaks and winding ridges leap upon the canvas, and infinite possibilities emerge just beyond the limits of vision.

高嫣(Rebekka Steiger,1993年生于瑞士苏黎世)是瑞士当代艺术圈里最让人期待的年轻画家之一。她的作品介于具象和抽象之间, 风景和骑士是其作品中反复出现的主题。其最新个展“和蝎子厮混-mingling with scorpions”正在北京博乐德文化集团展出。

Rebekka Steiger (b. 1993, Zurich) isone of the most promising young painters in the Swiss contemporary art scene. Her works lie somewhere between figuration and abstraction. Landscapes and knights often appear in her works. Her latest solo exhibition “和蝎子厮混-mingling with scorpions” is currently on view at Blanc Culture Group in Beijing.

王兴伟在新作《东方贵族》的右下角题了一首打油诗—— “瘦了嘎腔一老翁,策杖独立秋山中 ; 近看国潮真时尚,远看破烂像济公。” 作品兼具古代与当代的气息。艺术家身着“国潮”时装,时装以艺术家以前的作品《负心汉》为图案元素,长衫上出现了两次艺术家的脸孔,总共画面中相当于有三张艺术家的“自画像”。画作吸收了17、18世纪欧洲贵族肖像画的绘画传统:凸显面部、衣着华贵,面部 描画细致,背景潇洒,色彩幽暗并具有抒情性。与此同时,眼神忧郁的猴子和黄花梨拐杖又为画面增加了浓厚的东方色彩。

Wang Xingwei has inscribed the lower right corner of his new work Oriental Nobility with a humorous poem imitating the tone and meter of classical poetry. The work has a classical yet contemporary air. The artist is dressed up in “China chic” fashion featuring graphic elements from his previous work Unfaithful Lover, with the artist’s face appearing twice on the long-sleeved shirt, making for three “self-portraits” in this painting. The painting adopts several traditions from 17th and 18th century European aristocratic portraiture: the highlighting of the face, the extravagant clothing, the painstaking depiction of facial details, a relaxed background, and dark, expressive colors. Meanwhile, the dejected-looking monkey and the rosewood cane add strong Oriental tones to the picture.

谢其(1974年生于重庆)长期以来以身体和肖像作为绘画的重要母题。通过运用广阔的想象力与丰富的感知,艺术家不断赋予这些变化的形象以情绪的温度、欲望的张力与幽暗的色彩。谢其个展“夏天过去了好几年”于8月底在麦勒画廊北京开幕,12月初将于麦勒画廊瑞士卢森开幕。

The body and portraits have long been important motifs in Xie Qi’s (b. 1974, Chongqing) painting. Drawing on a sweeping imagination and rich perceptions, the artist bestows on these shifting figures the warmth of emotion, the tension of desire, and tones of gloom. Xie Qi's latest solo exhibition “The Summer Heat Has Been Gone For Years” opened at Galerie Urs Meile Beijing in late August, and will open at Galerie Urs Meile Lucerne in early December.

杨牧石(1989年生于江西)的创作行为带有自反性的思考,他往往使用收集来的废旧木料进行创作,最近艺术家开始使用不锈钢进行新的艺术实践。除了画廊展位展出的作品,在本次博览会的保时捷特别单元中,杨牧石还将展出其最新装置作品《焊连-片》,通过对不锈钢材料的处理以及形态的错位,激发着观者对于城市的发展、变革以及生产关系的思考与想象。

Yang Mushi’s (b. 1989, Jiangxi) creative practice is marked by introspection. He often works with discarded wood material, and has recently begun working with stainless steel. Aside from the works presented in the gallery booth, the artist is also featured in the Porsche special segment, where Yang Mushi will present his latest installation work which evokes thinking and imagination of the developments, changes andproduction relationships of the city through the manipulation and dislocationof stainless steel material.

张雪瑞(1979年生于山西)的绘画中每一格的色块与邻格之间以不易察觉的渐变关系组接在一起,阵列出混沌空无的整体雾化的色晕。艺术家最近的创作则改变了平缓的调式,画面出现了与邻格对比度相对强烈的色块,增强了画面的动势。

In the paintings of Zhang Xuerui (b.1979, Shanxi), each square of color is linked to its neighbors by barely perceptible shifts in gradient, creating a sense of a field of undifferentiated vapor. The artist’s recent creations have dispensed with the slow progressions of past work, with strong contrasts emerging between neighboring squares, heightening the dynamic of the picture.
