
本周六,中间美术馆将开启新展览“希望的原理”艺术家讲座系列第一回。我们将邀请两位参展的纪录片导演冯可慧、加布里埃尔·特耶多,线上与我们分享他们的创作经历。本次讲座由黄文珑主持,讲座为英文。
来自瑞士的加布里埃尔·特耶多,关注俄罗斯和前苏联解体国家的社会转型。他的新作《康比纳工厂》讲述在俄罗斯重工业城市马格尼托哥尔斯克市的三组家庭的日常生活。来自中国的冯可慧于2017年拍摄了《亚高山地》。亚高山地是美国1970年代嬉皮士文化运动的产物,由意大利建筑师保罗·索莱里发起。它是美国亚利桑那沙漠中建立的乌托邦社区实践,至今仍有80名长驻居民。上述两位创作者都选择离开自己熟悉的文化语境,经历了一个与新文化磨合的过程,并在他们的创作中确立了工作的立足点。他们的视角均是从普通人的日常生活出发,发掘局限的个体与乌托邦梦想之间的断裂与联系。

This Saturday, Beijing Inside-Out Art Museum is going to launch a series of artists' talks for the exhibition The Principle of Hope. We will invite two documentary directors Feng Kehui and Gabriel Tejedor to share their practices online. The event will be in English and will be moderated by Huang Wenlong.
Gabriel Tejedor, who is from Switzerland, mainly focuses on social transitions in Russia and ex-soviet republics. His recent work Kombinat is a story about three families' daily life in Magnitogorsk, a heavy industrial town in Russia. Feng Kehui directed Arcosanti in 2017, in which she filmed an architecture project initiated by Paolo Solari in the 1970s during the hippie era in the US. It has now been reduced to a population of 80. Both artists chose to leave their familiar cultural contexts and underwent a process of understanding other ways of living. Their works investigate the relationship and ruptures between individuals' ordinary life and a utopian society vision.

加布里埃尔·特耶多
Gabriel Tejedor
加布里埃尔·特耶多,1978年出生于瑞士,是一名导演和记者。他拥有社会学专业背景,主要关注俄罗斯和前苏联共和国的社会转型和乌托邦愿景,他探索居民个体和他们的历史之间的联系,以及他们与权威之间的关系。2014年,特耶多导演了纪录片《小径》,拍摄了前苏联科雷马地区的居民。2017年,他导演了《迈斯卡亚街》,讲述了一个18岁的白俄罗斯男孩首次参与选举投票的困境。后者在瑞士尼翁的真实电影节上获得了特别提名,并在IDFA和许多其他电影节上放映。
Born in 1978 in Switzerland, Gabriel Tejedor works as a director and journalist. After studies in sociology he mainly focused on social transitions and utopias in Russia and ex-soviet republics, he investigates the links between the inhabitants and their history as well as their relationship to authority. Tejedor directed La Trace in 2014, about the inhabitants of the Kolyma region, then Mayskaya str.(2017) about the dilemmas of an 18-year-old Belorussian citizen voting for the first time. The latter received a special mention at the Visions du réel festival and was screened in IDFA and many other festivals.

Feng Kehui
冯可慧,1995年出生于广东省珠海市,因其本科获奖纪录短片作品《亚高山地》开始步入纪录片创作、研究 领域。《亚高山地》在国内外多个电影节获奖、参展。她于北京电影学院,英国圣安德鲁斯大学先后取得了本科、硕士学位,专攻于剧本写作及社会人类学。冯可慧同时也与世界各地的电影创作同行、艺术家、建筑师们密切合作。在2018年,她与威尼斯双年展项目负责人Anita Sieff合作,为意大利建筑师Flavio Bollerri拍摄个人纪录短片。
自大学期间开始,冯可慧就将其创作与社会、环境议题密切地结合在一起。她持续地用不同的媒介(电影剧 本、纪录片、学术论文、摄影作品)探索人类与其生存空间之间的关系。2015年,她由蜜蜂消失危机引发的食安问题所改编的动画片剧本《一代馋宗》,入围学院金字奖;2017年,她导演的纪录片《亚高山地》涉及到了城市扩张与能源问题背景下,位于美国亚利桑那沙漠中的乌托邦社区实践;2018年,她拍摄的摄影集《索菲亚:电影之城》展现了在保加利亚电影行业里常为美国剧组勘景的当地人。除去跨国合拍片对在地经济的影响外,她好奇这样的一份工作会在什么样的程度上影响地点巡逻员对于自己城市的认同与感知。其田野调查成果在作为硕士论文在英国通过答辩的同时,其摄影集也受到国内外许多独立书展的参展邀请。
Feng Kehui, born in 1995, was graduated from the Department of Screenwriting and Film Studies at the Beijing Film Academy between 2013 and 2017. She entered the field of documentary filmmaking because of her undergraduate award-winning documentary short Arcosanti: a State of Fugue. Feng Kehui has closely combined her work with social and environmental issues. She continues to explore the relationship between human beings and their living space through different media such as film scripts, documentaries, academic papers and photographic works. She lives and works in Beijing.

黄文珑
在从事艺术行业之前,是一名码农。2019年加入北京中间美术馆研究与策展部,参与梳理编舞家文慧的创作经历,联合策划了展览“忍不住转身”“王璜生 | 出版让思想‘发声’”“从艺术到Yishu,从Yishu到艺术”,参与筹备“巨浪与余音——重访1987年前后中国艺术的再当代过程”与“后现代主义与全球80 年代”。
Huang Wenlong has been working in the research and curatorial department at the Beijing Inside-Out Art Museum since 2019. She researched on Beijing-based choreographer Wen Hui's practice. She worked as assistant curator in the exhibitions Waves and Echoes: A Process of Re-contemporarization in Chinese Art Circa 1987 Revisited and Waves and Echoes: Postmodernisme and the Global 1980s. She co-curated An Impulse to Turn, From Art to Yishu, From Yishu to Art and she curated Wang Huangsheng: Publishing Enables Thinking Out Loud.
