要空间驻留计划 Yell Space Residency Project

要空间至2017年成立起以来一直致力于为各地艺术家提供交流平台，但受制于空间的各方面限制一直未能实施必要的驻留计划。

Since Yell Space was established in 2017, the community of us have been making great effort on providing a platform for communication between artists around the world. And this is the first time we put it into use to public.

驻留项目作为拓展空间的流动属性一直具有不可替代的重要作用；驻留项目也常常为艺术家或相关创作者提非程式化的创作和观察环境，使创作者在较短时间获得新视野并产生新产出的可能；驻留工作也是艺术生态中信息交互的必要方式，虽然今天我们处于信息化时代，通过互联网促成了信息交互的高成效流动，但肉身生存的物理现实仍然是我们无法击破并不得不与之共存的着力面，在这样的复杂现实生态中，我们希望通过驻留计划能为人、空间与事件各者间提供信息交织穿插与触碰，使之涌现出不可预知的嬗变。

The residency project can be seen as a flow property of expanded space, and it is irreplaceable.In the digital world, it is easy to obtain large amount of information in short time, as a human being,we are still looking for chances to feel this world in real. In this project, we provide an environment for creation and observation without routine, helping artists capture inspiration and make it come true. Therefore,we hope that the residency plan could provide information interweaving and touching between people, space and events in such a complex reality, and the unpredictable changes can emerge.

2021年末，经过要空间与艺术家的通力合作，最终我们计划在佘山的“樾山美墅”开展驻留项目。

该项目距离要空间10公里,位于佘山地铁附近，是一个美丽的别墅区。

Our project will be held at the end of this year in ‘YueShan MeiShu’, about 10km away from Yell Space, 2km away from the Line 9 subway Station Sheshan.

招募艺术家 Artists Recruitment

要求：

居住在上海之外（上海艺术家有特殊情况的可以具体沟通）

年满18周岁不限性别国籍

不限职业与门类，但需提供在驻留期间的工作计划思路，可以是文学艺术创作，也可以是科学调研或者是设计制造实践等一切有趣或无意义的工作

You might fulfill requirements below:

Non-Shanghai resident (allow for some special exceptions)

Age over 18

Provide your working plan,such as a draft of scientific research, idea on designing or manufacturing,outline for writing a book, etc.Basically no taboo.

Every artist is welcomed regardless of gender, nationality, age or occupation.

驻留相关事宜 Residency Requirements

驻留时间1-2个月

驻留期间，要空间提供免费住宿和基本的生活必须用品。艺术家需自行负担从住处到上海驻地的来回车旅。

驻留期间产生的其他生活费用和物品消耗由工作组成员与驻留者友好协商解决。

驻留期间，项目组将根据驻留者的具体工作和要求为驻留者提供交流活动或项目，活动或项目可能发生的地点会根据项目需求在要空间或者在别墅地下室空间或其他合作单位的地点。

我们鼓励驻留人员积极与上海本土艺术家或相关创作者产生良好的互动和交流，项目组将尽可能的提供必要的协助。

驻留期间，艺术家或作者所产生的作品或产品，创作者拥有其所有权，要空间与驻留项目保留其展示及文献发表权。

驻留期间，驻留者需遵纪守法，不得创作违禁作品，如果因此产生法律责任，一切由驻留者承担。

驻留艺术家离开上海前需将住处与工作室清扫干净。

Duration of stay: 1-2 months

During the project, we will offer you free accommodation and only basic need in daily life.

Attention: Participants should cover their own transport fee to Shanghai and recidency location(including leaving). And if there are extra expenses, we kindly suggest you to contact us.

We will also hold some activity for communicating with other artists, and the location is flexible. Don’t worry, we will need your permission first!

If you want to have some communication with local artists, we can offer some help (maybe in language or other stuff)

During the residency period, the space and residency project shall retain the right to display and document publication of the ownership of the work or product produced by the artist or author.

We highly recommend you to pay attention to local law, any work against law will be prohibited.

Before leaving, participants should clean up the accommodation and working space.
