崔珉荣1989年出生于韩国首尔，毕业于伦敦斯莱德美术学院绘画硕士。现工作生活于英国伦敦。崔珉荣的创作跨越了超现实主义和现实生活表现之间的界限，经常作为一个特定主题或概念的一系列冥想而相互作用。物体、图像和光的模式经常在她的画作中反复出现，创造出一种凝聚感，仿佛这些图片都属于光线奇异的梦境。
Born in Seoul, South Korea in 1989, Minyoung Choi graduated from the Slade School of Fine Art in London with an MA in Painting. She currently lives and works in London, UK. Minyoung's work straddles the line between surrealism and real life representation, often interacting as a series of meditations on a particular theme or concept. Patterns of objects, images and light often recur in her paintings, creating a sense of cohesion as if the images all belonged to a strange dreamscape of light.

此次作品中，崔珉荣呈现了两件关于猫的绘画。画面明亮的色彩，游走于超现实主义和现实的日常画面之间的笔触勾勒出另类的绘画空间，生物的形态和所处的场景给观看带来恬静的感受。使观者仿佛透过一个微观窗口，走近了平常不曾发觉的日常画面和放大了情境中的细腻之处。
In these work, Minyoung presents two paintings of cats. The bright colours of the paintings and the brushstrokes that move between surrealism and realistic everyday images create an alternative painting space, and the forms of the creatures and the scenes they are in bring a sense of tranquillity to the viewer. It is as if the viewer is looking through a microscopic window into everyday images that are not normally seen and the subtleties of the situation are magnified.
