黄凯咏1994年出生于英国伦敦，于2016年前毕业于英国伦敦的斯莱德美术学院（荣誉学士）。现工作生活于伦敦。她将绘画过程看作是现实空间与绘画空间间的亲密编排。作品常常围绕着精神图腾、古典神话、爱情故事和性别的戏剧性，以一种另类叙事抽离出模糊，暧昧，不协调和不确定的内部空间。

Faye Wei Wei, born in 1994 in London, England, graduated from the Slade School of Fine Art in London, England (BA Hons) before 2016. She currently lives and works in London. She sees the painting process as an intimate choreography between real space and painting space. The work often revolves around spiritual iconography, classical mythology, love stories and the drama of gender in an alternative narrative that draws out the ambiguity, incongruity and uncertainty of the interior space.

黄凯咏创作的空灵的具象绘画，呈现出粉彩色调的浪漫主义氛围。她将象征手法作为一种融合图像的方式，剥离出既定的二元性，包括男性与女性，古典与现代，激烈和柔和，独特的绘画元素以超现实的方式弥漫在漂浮不定的梦幻中，暗示着一些亲眼目睹的、平衡于现实边缘的东西。

Her works create ethereal figurative paintings that take on a romantic ambience of pastel shades. She applies symbolism as a method of fusing images strips away established binaries of masculinity and femininity, classical and modern, intense and soft, with distinctive painting elements that pervade the floating dream in a surreal way, suggesting something witnessed and balanced on the edge of reality.

Hive Center for Contemporary Art was founded by XIA Jifeng and stated to operate as a gallery in 2013.
