大都会博物馆收藏有五万多件欧洲雕塑和装饰艺术收藏品,反映了从十五世纪初到二十世纪初西欧国家不同艺术形式的发展。馆藏品包括各种尺寸和媒介的雕塑,木制品和家具,陶瓷和玻璃,金属制品和珠宝,钟表和数学仪器,挂毯和纺织品等。此外,还包含从亚洲出口到欧洲市场的陶瓷以及拉丁美洲生产的雕塑和装饰艺术。
