Owen Fu的创作取材自生活中的观察和体悟,从而推动我们对形象的认知。他熟稔线条的使用,使其在所有构成绘画的形式元素中举足轻重。他常常交替排布平铺直叙的色调与原始粗糙的油画颜料,以此展现他对于不同风格和纹理的驾轻就熟。通过这种方式,Owen Fu创造了一种幻想性视错觉的体验,即一种在普通图像中感知图案或形状的趋势,从而引导观众在直觉性的线条和结构中任意穿梭,恣情流动。「Untitled (greasy middle age)」(2022)在“无题”的表象下隐匿着Owen嘲讽现状的黑色幽默,三个各不相同的表情揭露出我们在平凡的日常中不愿让自己看见和面对的事物。

在王伊芙苓韬程的创作中往往能体会到当代的“纸本之趣”。她的美学一方面将根植于中国古典艺术中独有的美与西方现当代艺术中迸发着的思想性相结合,另一方面她从未停止对前者的挑战与再定义。这种挑战在王伊芙苓韬程创作内容上的体现一如「Cultural Inheritance」(2022)对于身份认同和个人价值认同的反思与质疑。当身上延续的传统血脉与现当代的思想相碰撞,“真”便成为了难能可贵的存在。这种思量也反映在她的创作形式上,王伊芙苓韬程对水墨、炭笔等材料的运用从描绘一种传统、古典的高雅意趣,到描绘一些戏谑、讽刺、荒诞的寻常乐趣。活跃于她笔下的人物都充满着活泼、机敏、灵动的生机,不论是「Crispy Granny Love 2」(2022)里骑着三轮脚踏车的荷兰老顽童奶奶,还是「Sisters Breaks Men’s Wear Luxury Watch in a Very Sunny Day」(2022)里离经叛道的女性主义先锋修女,其个性特质都令人欢喜。

科瓦奇科娃作为俄罗斯和斯洛伐克的混血,青少年时期辗转迁移、四海为家的经历铸就了她丰富多元的文化背景和兼容并包的思想理念。其创作致力于挑战关于性别、种族、身份、社会习俗和权力关系的一元化观念,研究与自我概念和身份构建有关的问题。她的图像经常捕捉到亲密的、短暂的时刻,其中蕴含着梦幻般的、超现实主义的维度。画作中并不着重讲述单一的故事,而是让人物的五官、脸、身体以及它们的存在变得可被感知。「The Call (night)」(2020)中的重瞳女性形象展现了她对于东方正教神秘主义(Eastern orthodox mysticism)的运用。科瓦奇科娃还从克里姆特、弗里达、马蒂斯等艺术大师那里提取元素,汲取灵感,这是她对作为偶像的人物的探索。

Owen Fu

Owen Fu(b.1988,桂林)现工作生活于洛杉矶。2018年,他获得了美国帕萨迪纳艺术中心设计学院艺术硕士学位。2016年,他分别从纽约石溪大学和芝加哥艺术学院获得了哲学和纯艺双学士学位。

Owen Fu (b. 1988, Guilin, China) currently lives and works in Los Angeles. In 2018, he completed his MFA at the ArtCenter College of Design. In 2016, he received one BA in Philosophy from the Stony Brook University and the other BA in Fine Art from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago respectively.

王伊芙苓韬程 Evelyn Taocheng Wang

王伊芙苓韬程(b.1981,成都)现工作和生活于鹿特丹。2006年,她于南京师范大学中国传统艺术系获得学士学位。2012年,她于法兰克福Städelschule美术学院获得硕士学位。


王伊芙苓韬程的作品应当被视作一个整体的“星群”, 它们涵盖了众多既定艺术门类,包括绘画、书法文字、环境装置、录像短片、服装设计和表演。她的作品作为媒介、载体,为她所设定的多种主题服务,例如中国传统与现当代艺术、以及殖民历史、酷儿、女性文化与女性主义运动等,并通过重叠混合,将这些相互独立的概念交融链接。

Evelyn Taocheng Wang (b.1981, Chengdu) currently lives and works in Rotterdam. In 2006, she graduated as a Bachelor of Chinese Traditional Art from Nanjing Normal University. In 2012, she completed her MFA in HBK Städelschule.


Evelyn Taocheng Wang’s work is constituted by a “constellation” of sources that span over various defined categories of art, including painting, calligraphy, installation, video, fashion design and performance. Her work serves as a medium and agency for multiple themes that she has set up: traditional Chinese art, modern and contemporary art, colonial history, queer theory, femininity and feminism. Through overlay and hybridization, the artist arrives at a vocabulary that integrates and interconnects these seemingly autonomous notions.


From 2012 to 2014, Wang completed an independent artist residence program at the De Ateliers in Amsterdam. Her work is in the collections of ABN AMRO Collection, Amsterdam, The Netherlands; Art Institute of Chicago, Chicago, US; Centre Pompidou, Paris, France; Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam, Amsterdam, The Netherlands; Centraal Museum, Utrecht, The Netherlands, among others.

斯坦尼斯拉娃·科瓦奇科娃  Stanislava Kovalcikova

Stanislava Kovalcikova (b. 1988 in Czechoslovakia) lives and works in Dusseldorf. Her elegiac canvases which depict human figures, are studies of painting itself. Drawing on contemporary and historical perspectives of the human figure, her work directly references art historical styles. Equally, Kovalcikova’s work operates through a tradition of Eastern orthodox mysticism. An exploration of the figure as an icon, the individual psychic experience portrayed in her work is always referential to something larger – an archetype from a collective narrative. Kovalcikova has completed degrees in painting under Tomma Abts and Peter Doig at the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf. Recent solo exhibitions include: Peres Projects, Berlin, Germany (2022); 15orient, New York, US (2021); Open Forum, Berlin, Germany (2020); Mamoth, London, UK (2020) among others. 艾丽森·卡茨 Allison Katz

艾丽森·卡茨(b. 1980,蒙特利尔)现生活和工作于伦敦。2002年,她于康考迪亚大学获得艺术学士学位。2008年,她于哥伦比亚大学获得艺术硕士学位。


艾丽森·卡茨的作品反思了当代艺术创作中盘根错节、有时自相矛盾的本质。她将交流的模糊性容纳其中,用戏谑幽默而又刨根问底的手法拓宽了传统意义上的艺术家“标志”。卡茨的作品在若隐若现、半遮半掩的诗意空间中运作,指引着观众去注意绘画表面和绘画主体所构成的多层次意识中。

Allison Katz (b. 1980, Montreal) currently lives and works in London. She received her BFA from the Concordia University in 2002 and her MFA from the Columbia University in 2008.


Allison Katz’s work engages with the complex and at times contradictory nature of contemporary artistic production, embracing the ambiguity of communication with a playful and inquiring touch that expands the conventional notion of an artist’s “signature style.” Katz’s work operates in a poetic space between mirror and mask, between revealing and concealing what is presented, calling attention to the multiple layers of consciousness that reside in a painting’s surface and subject.
