“格言”系列中，何迟将画框画在画布表面。绘画的物质性被这样的设置表示出来，但表示这物质性的，却正是画笔创造的绘画语言及图像。视觉的神秘感在概念化的祛魅过程中反而加深。

In the “Motto” series, He Chi paints the picture frame directly on the canvas. The material nature of painting is thus made explicit, but this explicitness stems from the painting language and picture that are created by the brush. In the process of conceptualized disenchantment, the mystery of vision only grows deeper.

艺术家

何迟，1978年出生于甘肃，2002年毕业于西安美术学院，现生活工作于北京。2007年成立并加入雄黄社；2011年成立并加入南山绘画小组；2012年发起创办“我们说要有空间于是就有了空间”。

He Chi (b. 1978 in Gansu Province, China) currently lives and works in Beijing. He graduated from the Xi'an Academy of Fine Arts. He is the Founder and a member of Xiong Huang Group (2007) and Nanshan Painting Group (2012), and also founded the "We Said Let There Be Space and There Was Space" in 2012.
