我们很荣幸地宣布艺术家古扎丽（Guzel Zakirova）个展「让她起舞」将于6月24日在高台当代艺术中心新馆开幕。

古扎丽（Guzel Zakirova）一直在探索着自己作为“我”的身份，以及“我”与世界的联系。她的创作是由她亲手绘制完成的新疆女性图鉴，亦承载着她对新疆这片土地的迷恋。

古扎丽曾在新疆学习生活，她游走在喀什、乌鲁木齐、吐鲁番还有周边地区的大街小巷，记录每一个生活在这里的女性身影。在这片土地遇到的每一位女性都为她的创作注入了新的生命力，丰富了她的创作世界，也给了古扎丽重新认识和发掘出真实自我的契机。也正因如此，古扎丽得以用自己独一无二的视觉语言再现这些激发着她灵感的女性形象。

从“连眉”这一标志性审美风向的呈现，到“喀什噶尔”古老部族服饰的勾勒，再到“让她起舞”中对选择权更为纯粹的探讨，古扎丽的作品主题也经历了从“致敬群体记忆”到“更为私密的自我剖析”的成长式转变。她也逐渐理解了自己一直追寻的关于“我是谁？我由什么组成？”这两个问题的答案，这些答案随着她的创作浮现在每个作品里的女性形象中：女儿、母亲、姐妹；导师、乐师、舞者、画家…

对于古扎丽来说，成为艺术家是她的选择，生命中的每一位女性都激励着她完成自己的理想。「让她起舞」展览将构建起艺术与女性之间的对话，来探讨艺术对女性的可及性，以及女性在艺术、学术领域里的选择自由。

高台新址位于河滩路397文创园，全新场馆的建筑主体是原新疆邮电器材厂的一部分，在过去二十一年，这座建筑也是一个小型玻璃加工厂。我们期待在开馆首展和你相遇。

Guzel Zakirova has long been exploring the identity of ‘self’ and its connection with the world. Her creation is like a picture book of women in Xinjiang that she draws and completes with her own hand, and it also carries her adoration for this land.

While studying and living in Xinjiang, Guzel traveled to Kashgar, Urumqi, Turpan, and other places in surrounding areas, documenting every single woman she came across. These women injected new vitality into Guzel's creation, enriched her artistic world, and gave Guzel a chance to recognize and discover her true self. That is why Guzel was able to use her unique visual language to re-create these inspiring images of women.

From the presentation of the symbolic aesthetic trend of "Monobrow", the reappearance of the ancient tribal costumes in "Kashgariya" to the discussion of choices in "Let her dance". Guzel had come to understand the answer she had been searching for: "Who am I? What am I made of?" These answers emerge in each of the female images in her works: Daughter, Mother, Sister, Mentor, Musician, Dancer, Painter…

For Guzel, being an artist was her choice, and every woman in her life inspired her to fulfill her dreams. Now she hopes to construct a dialogue between art and women through the ‘LET HER DANCE‘ exhibition to explore the accessibility of art to women and women's freedom of choice in art and academic fields.
