“Diverse As We Are” (DAWA),

the International Festival of Inclusive Culture presents:

"Accessible curation" is a new term that is not very well known in the field of visual arts in China or even in East Asia. It is as if it is a "hidden"  concept.

The Hidden Project is a creative lab launched in February 2022, dedicated to accessible curation in the field of visual arts.

After seven invite-only workshops, the "Hidden Project" will no longer be hidden and be opened to the public in Shanghai in September. This roundtable talk is an opportunity for visual arts practitioners and the general public to learn more about accessible curation and come together to think critically about accessible curation together.

The Hidden Project will be one of the events in "Diverse As We Are" - International Festival of Inclusive Culture (DAWA) and get support from the Canadian Consulate in Shanghai and the Goethe-Institut. The final goal is to challenge the "compulsive physical and mental integrity", which is common in the traditional visual arts practice, and to encourage an accessible and supportive ecology for artists and curators who identify as disabled.

The Hidden Project Roundtable Talk

Time: September 26, 2022, 19:00-21:00

Guest: Sean Lee, Michelle Yeonho Hyun, Liu Yi, Keri Ryan
