

“造化之境”参展艺术家介绍②
索卡艺术荣幸推出2022年水墨群展 “造化之境”,展期自11月05日至11月27日。本次展览邀请在当代水墨领域颇具影响力的四位艺术家,丘挺、泰祥洲、曾健勇、和潘汶汛,展出艺术家最新创作的十七件作品。
索卡艺术将逐一介绍此次新展“造化之境”的四位参展艺术家。

泰祥洲的《天象》系列,描绘了在浩瀚宇宙中形状各异的浮石,气流,云雾不断碰撞,流动的状态。作品灵感源于艺术家的故乡宁夏,海森楚鲁,一望无际的沙漠之地。那里有着仿佛异世界的奇妙景象:形态各异的嶙峋怪石散落在岩地之中,坑坑洼洼,姿态不一,仿佛宇宙中被碰撞的陨石残骸。
Tai Xiangzhou's Celestial Tales series depicts the constant collision and flow of pumice, air currents, and clouds in the vastness of the universe. The works are inspired by the scene of artist's hometown of Ningxia, Haisenchulu, a desert land. There is an otherworldly scene: Jagged rocks of different shapes are scattered around as if they were the remains of asteroid collision.

In his works, these strangely shaped rocks are given the power to transform under different states of matter. Sometimes ethereal like clouds; sometimes steady like mountains.

艺术家以水墨为语言,从宇宙学,天文学,哲学和美学的角度,从中国传统绘画的起源出发,打破了山水的图示规范,将目光放在对宇宙神秘内在本质的探索之中。天地之间的神秘力量,精神与物质对立又统一的宇宙法则在泰祥洲的作品中被描绘的淋漓尽致,这种巨大的力量把观者吸入他创造的宇宙世界,重新召唤着人类对宇宙奥义和自然力量的崇拜和思考。
Using traditional Chinese ink painting as medium, the artist breaks away from the iconographic approach to landscape, aiming to explore the mysterious inner nature of the universe from cosmology, astronomy, philosophy, and aesthetic perspectives. The mysterious power between heaven and earth, the universal law of spirit and matter are depicted in Tai Xiangzhou's works to their fullest extent. This great power draws the viewer into the cosmic world he has created, recalling people’s contemplation of the mysterious universe and the worship of natural power.

Tai Xiangzhou
泰祥洲,1968年生于银川。幼随胡公石学书,后问学于冯其庸门下,毕业于清华大学美术学院,获博士学位。是当代艺术领域颇有影响力的学者型艺术家,他的博士论文《仰观垂象》深受艺术史大家方闻教授的推重,并亲自作序鼓励,这本著作在海内外艺术史界的影响力近年来愈发显现。他长期致力于重构中国早期山水的理想范式,对山水图像源起与演变的研究得到学界关注,泰祥洲从宇宙学,天文学和绘画关系的角度,创作了《创世纪》系列、《天象》系列,和 《黄钟大吕》系列作品,受到中西艺术史界的广泛关注。

Tai Xiangzhou was born in 1968 in Yinchuan, Ningxia. During his childhood, he studied calligraphy with the exiled master Hu Gongshi (1912-1997) and Chinese traditional culture with the prominent mentor Feng Qiyong (1924-2017). Besides, Tai also earned a doctorate degree from Tsinghua University with the philosopher Bao Lin, his doctoral dissertation Celestial Tales earned recognition internationally. He has long concentrated on rejuvenating the idealistic forms of traditional Chinese landscape painting. His dedication to the origin and development of “Mountain and Water Representation” (Shan Shui Tu Xiang) has attracted attention from prominent eyes in the field of art. He further expands his perspectives of art creations into cosmology, astrology, and how they intertwine with the aesthetics of painting.
