现场｜拉斐尔·洛扎诺-亨默（Rafael Lozano-Hemmer）首次香港个展开幕 呈现大型互动装置及现场表演

佩斯艺术家拉斐尔·洛扎诺-亨默（Rafael Lozano-Hemmer）于香港西九文化区的戏曲中心举办香港首个个展——“生物特征剧场”（Biometric Theatre）。其中大型互动装置《光影脉象》（Pulse Topology，2021）为亚洲首展，作品由3000个悬挂在不同高度的灯泡矩阵组成，创造出一系列的波峰与波谷形态的天幕，邀请观众在其中穿行。而每个灯光原件的闪动均来自于现场实时探测到的来访者的脉搏跳动，并以震撼人心的方式演绎出来。

而在个展览举行期间的两个周日，即2月19及26日，将各举办两节约45分钟的现场表演，邀请本地乐手和舞者在《光影脉象》的展馆即兴演出，与此沉浸式装置作品作互动。

新媒体艺术家拉斐尔·洛扎诺-亨默以极富思辨的交互装置而著称，利用建筑空间延展了行为表演艺术的表现潜力。艺术家的作品被作品纽约现代艺术博物馆（MoMA）、伦敦泰特美术馆（Tate）、纽约古根海姆博物馆（Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum）等全球重要艺术机构收藏。

此次个展是香港西九文化区主办的“机缘都会”媒体艺术节的参展项目，将展出7件多媒体互动装置作品。作品运用各种科技，以观众提供的指纹、面容特征、动态，甚至是无形的心跳、体温等数据，转以诗意的艺术手法展现出来。

艺术家去年最新创作的装置作品亦于戏曲中心呈现，包括透过热摄像机来检测人体热量，并使用粒子系统把人体热量分散情况可视化的《热像漂流》(Thermal Drift, 2022) ；《荷尔蒙潮》 (Hormonium, 2022) 是一个说明时间生物学的生成艺术作品，萤幕上展示了海浪撞击和释放空气中的文本粒子的序列，而所呈现的文本是代表激素的首字母缩略词，并根据人类的时间周期释放。艺术家更多装置作品，包括《放大声带》 (Vocal Folds, 2019) 、《脉象图鉴》 (Pulse Index, 2010) 、《术算无限》 (Glories of Accounting, 2005) 及《表面张力》 (Surface Tension, 1992) 亦会一同展出。个展将持续展出至3月5日，观众须预先网上领取免费门票。

于香港个展同期，艺术家的作品亦于各地的不同群展中展出。当中包括于加州大学欧文分校的比尔艺术+技术中心 (Beall Center for Art + Technology) 举办的群展“差异机器：当代艺术中的技术与身份" (Difference Machines: Technology and Identity in Contemporary Art) ，群展将展出艺术家创作以纪念墨西哥伊瓜拉43名学生被大规模绑架的作品《自信的水平》(Level of Confidence, 2015)。该作品包括一个面部识别摄像头，该摄像头经过特别设定，能寻找失踪学生的面孔。当一个观众站在摄像机前时，系统会使用算法找出哪个学生的面部特征与其最相似，并对匹配的准确性给出“信心水平”的评级。群展将持续展出至4月29日。

艺术家的互动装置作品《脉象图鉴》(Pulse Index, 2010) 亦现正于美国沃斯堡现代艺术博物馆 (Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth) 举办的群展“我将成为你的镜子：艺术与数字屏幕” (I'll Be Your Mirror: Art and the Digital Screen) 中展出。《脉象指数》透过观众将手指伸入配备220倍数码显微镜和心率传感器的定制传感器，能够检测观众的心率，并同时记录其指纹，他们的指纹立即出现在显示屏最大的单元格上，随着他们的心跳而跳动。该作品以阶梯式排列显示出最后765名参与者的数据，形成一条皮肤水平线。随着越来越多观众与作品互动，每个人的录音就会向上传播，直到它完全消失，形成一种指纹的死亡征兆。群展将持续展出至4月30日。

这位理科出身的新媒体艺术家以极富思辨的交互装置而著称，利用建筑空间延展了行为表演艺术的表现潜力，并利用机器人灯、数字喷泉、计算机监控、媒体墙和远程信息网络等技术为公众参与创造平台。拉斐尔·洛扎诺-亨默是第一个代表墨西哥参加威尼斯双年展的艺术家，于2007年在范阿克塞尔宫 (Palazzo van Axel) 举办了展览。藝術家也曾在昆卡、哈瓦那、伊斯坦布尔、科奇、利物浦、墨尔本、莫斯科、新奥尔良、纽约、首尔、塞维利亚、上海、新加坡、悉尼和乌镇的双年展上展出。艺术家的作品被纽约现代艺术博物馆 (The Museum of Modern Art, New York) 、伦敦泰特美术馆 (Tate, London) 、纽约古根海姆博物馆 (Solomon R.
