赛麟空间荣幸地宣布，代理现居于北京的艺术家颜开。

颜开

1980年出生于中国湖南，先后毕业于四川美术学院、中央美术学院，日本神户艺术工科大学访问学者。现执教于北京理工大学设计与艺术学院。

颜开始终关注在二元世界中处于两端之间游离的那部分空间，藉此探讨具有东方哲思等普遍性的问题。他借用物质原本承载的人文特征，在作品中重新构建“物”之间新的人文秩序。他利用多种媒介进行创作，近期采用茶作为主要的绘画媒介。

近年来，颜开曾在香港亚洲当代艺术展、比利时橘子画廊、重庆长江当代美术馆、广州九月艺术画廊、北京三潴画廊等机构举办个展。他的作品也曾参加过多个机构的群展，包括美国康州学院、中国美术馆、韩国国立现代美术馆、韩国安利美术馆、波兰华沙古城王宫博物馆、中华世纪坛艺术馆、比利时欧罗巴利亚文化节、北京时代美术馆、中国平遥国际摄影展、今日美术馆、深圳美术馆等。

Yan Kai

He was born in 1980 in Hunan, China. He received his education at Sichuan Fine Arts Institute and Central Academy of Fine Arts in China, then spent time in Japan as a visiting scholar at Kobe Design University. He is currently teaching at School of Design & Art in Beijing Institute of Technology.

Yan Kai has long been intrigued by the space between the dualistic universe's two poles as a means of enquiring into universal issues such as Eastern philosophy. He appropriates the humanistic characteristics inherent in matter in his works and re- creates a new humanistic order between "things." He works with a range of media and has recently shifted his focus to tea as his primary medium of painting.

Yan Kai has had solo exhibitions in Hong Kong’s Asia Contemporary Art Show, Belgium’s Orange Art Gallery, Changjiang Museum of Contemporary Art, Guangzhou September Art Gallery, and Beijing Mizuma and One Gallery in recent years. His work has also been shown in several institutional exhibitions, including those at University of Connecticut in the United States, National Art Museum of China, Korea’s National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art and Amway Art Museum, Poland’s Museum of King Jan III's Palace at Wilanów, Beijing World Art Museum, Belgium’s Europalia Arts Festival, Beijing Times Art Museum, China’s Pingyao International Photography Festival, Today Art Museum, Shenzhen Art Museum, etc.

Sailing Space

赛麟空间于2019年成立于上海，是一家致力于以专业知识参与到当代艺术领域的画廊机构。该画廊关注正在发生的当代艺术现象和正在出现的艺术面孔，不断发掘和合作具有时代价值的艺术家，并将艺术家的发展作为自身工作的核心。画廊在深耕中国长三角地区的同时，于英国伦敦设立了卫星团队，以未来艺术史的书写可能作为自身价值判断的标准，努力建构符合时代意义的艺术机构。

Founded in Shanghai in 2019, Sailing Space is a gallery dedicated to participating in contemporary art with professional knowledge. The gallery pays close attention to the rising contemporary art trends and the emerging young artists, constantly exploring and cooperating with artists who reflect the value of the era. 'Grow Together with Artists' is the core value of our mission. While deeply rooted in the Yangtze River Delta region in Eastern China, around the city of Shanghai, the gallery has also set up a satellite team in London, taking the writing of future art history as the foundation of its value, it strives to build an art institution that conforms to the cultural significance of the modern day.
