Participating Artists Introduction
索卡艺术荣幸宣布参展2023年香港巴塞尔艺术展，将在“艺廊荟萃”展区1B10展位呈现多位艺术家的精彩作品。此次展览索卡带来七位在亚洲已经有广泛影响力的知名艺术家和极具发展潜力的新兴艺术家，借于现象学的直观方法探索艺术作品中的同步性。
本文将介绍两位2023巴塞尔艺术展香港展会参展艺术家，张英楠、桥爪悠也与席时斌。
Soka Art is delighted to participate in Art Basel Hong Kong 2023 and will present seven established and emerging contemporary artists across Asia in the "Galleries" sector 1B10 booth.
This article will introduce two participating artists at ABHK 2023, Zhang Yingnan, Yuya Hashuzume, and Hsi Shihpin.

张英楠借助图像和记忆，透过绘画去了解世界与他的关系，空间的建筑就像是记忆存在方式，一种多维度重叠交错的状态。
张英楠在北京生活的时间里，经历了所谓的城乡间差异，这差异首要反映在人与人间的距离上。乡下的大院子情感连接紧密，而大城市的生活却处处透露着疏离和淡漠，童年单纯美好记忆早已在艺术家载体上另存新档。他透过对于自然景观与基础几何的造型揉合，让作品带有一种特殊微妙的孤独与疏离感。在传达内心最真实的感受的同时试图唤起观众的内在情感与潜意识。

Zhang Yingnan uses images and memories to understand the relationship between the world and him through painting. The architecture of space has been transformed into the way of memory existence, a state of multi-dimensional overlapping and interlacing.

During Zhang's time in Beijing, he experienced the so-called difference between urban and rural areas, which is mainly reflected in the distance between people. The big courtyard in the countryside is emotionally connected while living in the big city reveals alienation and indifference everywhere. The simple and beautiful memories of childhood have already been stored in the carrier of artists. Through the blending of the natural landscape and basic geometry, he gives his works a special and subtle sense of loneliness and alienation. The artist pieces together the most authentic feelings in his heart while trying to arouse the audience's inner emotions and subconsciousness

桥爪悠也的《eyewater》系列，以瞬间落下眼泪的「超扁平」动漫风格人物，带有当代社会文化传播的符号现象与深刻反思，在艺术圈迅速窜红，并在亚洲当代艺术独占一席之地。艺术家本人并没有给当中所描绘的「眼泪的故事」赋予特定意涵，因为一件艺术品最有趣的地方，就在于它是可以被无限解读的。每位观者都能自由地想象各种前因后果，而这就是本系列作品最令人困惑也是最吸引人的地方。

近年来与大众文化息息相关的漫动与游戏，早已不再被排拒于艺术史之外，而是被官方纳入当代艺术研究的范畴，因为这是影响着当代社会非常重要的艺术养份，值得被讨论与重视。而桥爪在这样的环境中成长，也成为漫动与游戏的爱好者。他以「虚构」和「匿名」为关键词，创作出参考漫画家藤子．F．不二雄的风格的作品，并加入简约的美学素养以及对色彩的敏锐天份，创造属于他的人物和动物绘画。

Yuya Hashizume's "eyewater" series, with "super flat" anime-style characters who shed tears instantly, with symbolic phenomena and profound reflections on the spread of contemporary social culture, quickly became popular in the art circle and has a unique place in Asian contemporary art. The artist didn't grant specific meanings to the "story of eyewater", because the most interesting thing in an artwork is that it can be interpreted in infinite ways. Every audience is free to imagine the stories and that is the most perplexing and attractive point.
In recent years, manga and games are no longer excluded from Art History, but are officially included in the scope of the contemporary art research. Because they are important artistic nutrient that affects contemporary society, it deserves to be discussed and valued. Growing up in such an environment, Hashizume became a fan of manga and games. Using "fiction" and "anonymity" as keywords, he created works that refer to the style of manga artist Fujiko F. Fujio and added a simple aesthetic and a keen eye for color to create his own paintings of characters and animals.
席时斌为台湾当前最为耀眼的雕塑艺术家，求学期间分别接受来自建筑设计与西方艺术的教育系统，是台湾少见拥有双重专业美学背景的当代艺术家。拥有建筑设计背景的席时斌，擅长以不锈钢、木料等复合性的综合材料进行雕塑创作，作品中常可见到欧洲歌德、巴洛克时期或中国古典的纹饰以及符号。他的创作从日常景物、结构与形貌出发，结合古典解剖学的淬炼与传统工艺的技术，开创了兼容神话想像、文学诗意和科工制作的美学观点。

他曾说自己的创作方式是一种反复累积的过程，由细节出发推砌成整体，而整体再拆解出下一个细节，如此循环，让创作能量生生不息。
席时斌 Hsi Shihpin, 冠军之马 Horse Champion, 2023, 不锈钢，钛金，黑铬，亚克力 Stainless steel, Titanium plating, Chrome plating, Rose quartz, Acrylic，62 x 26 x 26cm
Hsi Shihpin is currently the most dazzling sculpture artist in Taiwan. During his studies, he received education systems from architectural design and Western art respectively. He is a rare contemporary artist in Taiwan with a dual professional aesthetic background. Xi Shibin, who has a background in architectural design, is good at creating sculptures with composite materials such as stainless steel and wood. European Gothic, Baroque or Chinese classical decorations and symbols can often be seen in his works. His creations start from everyday scenes, structures and shapes, combined with the refinement of classical anatomy and traditional craftsmanship, creating an aesthetic viewpoint that is compatible with mythological imagination, literary poetry and scientific and industrial production.
It is through artistic creation that Hsi Shih-Pin explores and discovers even more new possibilities in life. He once said that his way of creation is a process of repeated accumulation - he starts from the details and builds them into a whole before disassembling the whole back into details. It is this cycle that unleashes endless creative energy.
