We are glad to announce that Keyi Gallery will take part of the Beijing Contemporary Art Fair 2023. We present artist Luo Ran with his solo exhibition "Adverb", which display dozens new works.. Welcome to visit Booth No. E13.

Luo Ran

Luo Ran, born in Lanzhou, Gansu Province in 1992, graduated with a bacheler from the Lacquer Painting Department fo China Academy of Arts (CAA) in 2014, and with a master degree of the same specialisation of CAA in 2018. His works have been collected by X Museum, Sifang Art Museum and other institutions.

His recent exhibitions include: All thoughts float onto the window, Loading...taste good! Keyi Gallery, (Heifei, 2021);  Encounter & Foresight - A Contemproray Art Exhibition Recommended by Collectors, Blanc Art Group, (Beijing,2022); "Within one meter" Abstract Painting Group Exhibition, BLANKgallery, (Shanghai 2022); "Art Week Encore - ART021 x H8, (Shanghai, 2022); "ART021 Shanghai Contempory Art Fair, Shanghai Exhibition Center,(Shanghai, 2022).

Luo Ran's work focus on the current visual scence and the logic behind this generation. He considers this kind of attention and research as a game, in which artiste play a role of an experienced player as well as a producer of the game.  The interest is to discover and create continually complex secret and post-credits scene. In the context similar to the motion rectilinear, he transforms the way  in which things are intervened in the virtual software into the working logic that can be carried out in painting with different tool characteristics, re-edited the boundaries between different dimensions, and he attempts to discuss a kind of rhythm, mouvement, connection and order in reality. By depicting tool symbols and appearances produced by using tools, it presents a complex,soft, procedural, non-absolutely correct texture and ambiguous schema that seems to be abstracted although it is a concrete object, in order to fight against the current superiority. The elitist notions of correctness, intelligence and effectiveness advocated in the context of achievementism.
