1994年，NKSIN出生于日本福岛。 未受过艺术学院教育的他，却透过自学与天份，以强烈且独特的艺术风格在国际艺术圈脱颖而出，短短几年内就受到众多藏家青睐。 他在国际艺术线上销售平台Artsy的作品需求度排名更是荣登前四，展览作品文件档完售，供不应求。

他的作品最吸引人的特点，是以喷漆为创作媒材，创造出简洁有力的线条与渐变的色层，并以灰阶色调为基础描绘人物肖像，包括跨越时代的古典艺术大师、音乐家、工匠、名人与青少年等，充分展现融合古典内涵与街头潮流时尚的艺术风格。 此独特的风格，受到美国80、90年代街头艺术与动画设计的影响，并试图以一种既挑衅又幽默的方式，探讨当代社会议题。 他巧妙地安排人物与对象之间的关系，将当今流行的服饰与用品，穿戴在古代人物身上，让过去和现在得以共存，现实与非现实得以相互碰撞，激激盪出令人意想不到的火花。

身为日本与菲律宾混血儿的NKSIN，从小成长于较为封闭和敌对的环境中，因身分认同问题，在成长过程中遭遇许多挫折。青少年的他不知该如何应对这个世界，经过不断自我怀疑、摸索、思考与沉淀，最终将自身的经历转化为艺术创作的能量，期望借由带有黑色幽默的艺术诉说种种当代社会问题。

相较于去年个展，本次作品在主题与色彩上有更多的变化。 目前他正在思考讯息与人的关系，将「现实」与「非现实」相互融合来创作作品。他不断参照米开朗基罗的雕塑，除了描绘面部之外，首次出现聚焦于身体其他部位的作品，并将它们与当代装饰物和电子设备相结合，来表达艺术和自身中，因现实与非现实而产生的温度差异、迁移和侵略情况。 而色彩方面，在一些作品中，他会以色彩强调对象，如红色手机、粉色短裤与球鞋、橘色墨镜等，更加凸显「现实」与「非现实」相互冲突、碰撞的视觉效果，呼应并暗示他想要呈现有关冲突、分裂和竞争的主题，并给予观者自由想像与诠释的空间。

Soka Art is proud to announce its launch of a large-scale solo exhibition for NKSIN, the most popular and rising artist in the international art community. This will be NKSIN’s first exhibition in Taiwan since his successful, sold-out solo exhibition at the 2022 Taipei Dangdai last year. For three weeks from 2023/5/13 to 2023/6/5, the exhibition UNRELATED will be showcased at Soka Art Taipei and Tainan, featuring art with the themes of conflict, division, and competition. The artist creates and criticizes these conditions through their unique interpretation.

NKSIN was born in Fukushima, Japan in 1994. Despite not having any formal education in art, the artist developed a powerful, unique artistic style purely through their natural talent and dedication. His style not only enabled him to stand out in the international art community, but also quickly attracted the attention of collectors in merely a few years. On the online art brokerage platform Artsy, NKSIN is ranked top four among the most demanded artists with artworks selling out at every exhibition and demand outpacing supply. His artworks are compelling in using spray paint as a creative medium to create simple, powerful lines and layers on a color gradient. By drawing grayscale portraits of classical art masters, musicians, craftsmen, celebrities, and teenagers across different generations, NKSIN demonstrates a unique art style that fully integrates classical connotations with trendy street fashion. Having been influenced by the American street art and animation design from the 80’s and 90’s, this unique style sets out to examine modern social issues from a provocative yet humorous perspective. The artist creates an ingenious balance between characters and objects by applying contemporary clothing and accessories to ancient characters, creating a coexistence between the past and present. In this way, the real collides with unreal to produce unimaginable effects.
