三影堂摄影艺术中心“青年艺术家陪跑计划” 联合多位国内外资深艺术家、策展人、学者，为在艺术道路上遇到瓶颈或希望迈上职业艺术家道路且有潜力的青年创作者们，给予全年系统性的启发和帮助。M青年电影小组（郭思源、邱平香梓）作为2021首届“青年艺术家陪跑计划”入围者之一，其个展 “《玫瑰冰室》：一部电影的视觉笔记”将于2023年8月20日至9月2日在三影堂摄影艺术中心3.0space展出。

· 作品阐释 ·

“《玫瑰冰室》：一部电影的视觉笔记”是2020年成立的M青年电影小组举办的首个视觉艺术展览。展览初始的构思，是以聚焦一部电影《玫瑰冰室》的概念起源、故事结构以及美学方案等主题，同时在发展过程中，确立了在电影项目方案与视觉艺术表达两者之间的对话与互相转化的展览形态。

电影《玫瑰冰室》的故事是以1968年为开端，其时二次世界大战之后的政治阵营已经重新确立。此时的日本，一面伴随越南战争的开启，军事工业体制重新急速抬头；另一面是共产主义运动在社会各领域的烈火无可抵挡。赴日留学的中国学生张涧秋于社会冲突现场意外救护了左翼影人羽田真一。临榻于前，涧秋经由与羽田的谈话中回溯到了旧东北“满映”、纠缠于爱情、战争和革命风云变幻的1940年代。一段腰带与一卷胶片的秘密，竟然暗藏着羽田和一名中国女性的曲折及动荡的往事......

“《玫瑰冰室》：一部电影的视觉笔记”展览分为两个部分。第一部分是“满映”与同时期上海的“孤岛电影”的历史文献的平行对话。第二部分是战争文献与历史影像中的李香兰的视频装置。正如“电影展览”的倡导者、法国前国家电影资料馆馆长Dominique Païni指出的“电影是一种具有召唤过去、并透过现在的形象加以比较、呈现及开展批判和创作性态度的当代艺术。”本次展览尝试透过历史文献与影音装置的多声部组合，试图传达一种动态变化的历史观念与今天现实对话之间蕴含的艺术对话的可能性。

· 艺术家自述 ·

2020年为了筹备新片去东北进行考察。有一天和朋友无意间走访了沈阳辽宁宾馆（原大和旅馆）。在大厅墙面上看到一段关于“满映”影星李香兰的介绍。在那之前，我只觉得李香兰是唱了《夜来香》而广为人知的民国歌星，但在这里的介绍却给她冠上了“臭名昭著”的四个字的称谓。当时有点惊讶，为什么在今天对于李香兰会是那样的一个历史形象。以此为契机，再加上其他一些亲身经历，由此延展开对东北近现代史的系列研究。

当时和编剧一起遍访了东北绝大多数的主要城市。从沈阳开始，长春、旅顺、大连、哈尔滨、锦州等。也走访了旅顺的日俄监狱旧址、731部队遗址、萧红故居、张氏帅府、伪满洲国皇宫博物院、“满映”旧址（今天的长春电影制片厂）等东北各大主要博物馆。尤其在研究“满映”的过程中，我也看了大量关于那一时期的电影及纪录影像资料。其中最喜欢的是日本导演小林正树的长篇巨作《人间的条件》。而上世纪1940年代太平洋战争与1968年席卷世界的左翼运动，都是我很感兴趣的历史时期。

李香兰

我从小就比较喜欢美丽的事物，尤其在电影拍摄领域擅长影像美学的塑造，也非常喜欢拍美人。在李香兰身上，我体会到一种很微妙的感觉。她是一位非常美丽的少女，父母是日本人，但从小在中国出生，在中国长大，说一口标准的京腔普通话，天生就有着像夜莺一般美丽的歌喉，对中国有着真切的感情，但却被当时日本军方选中去拍摄奴化中国人的“国策电影”。我发现她的人生经历极为丰富。从少女时期一直到战后，再到左翼运动风起云涌的上世纪60，70年代，一直持续活跃在电影界。她的交友也极为广阔，尤其和日本知名的左翼电影人、电影史专家岩崎昶是极好的朋友。从小一起长大最好的朋友是一位俄国共产党员柳芭。也和在美国麦卡锡主义时期受到迫害的电影导演卓柏林有着深厚的友谊。在战后，李香兰积极参与了大量推动中日友好有关的工作。我看了大量关于李香兰的书籍和传记，觉得战争以后她的忏悔确实是发自真心的。中国和日本，一个是她的“祖国”，一个是她的“母国”。在她的内心，无法割舍她本身作为日本人身份的同时，又对中国有着极为深厚的感情。这种感情，我作为后世的一个研究者，站在一个更客观的历史角度去看，觉得她的感情确实是真实的。在筹备电影剧本的三稿、四稿及五稿阶段，我也研究了日本当时的左翼导演和左翼作家，看了大量比较中日历史和文化的著作。在本次以当代视觉艺术为主要呈现的影像文献展上，我想探讨关于美、战争与人性的思考，以及反思日本在侵华战争时期进行文化殖民过程中的表现。

· 艺术家简介 ·

思源

思源，1986年生于中国唐山。2008年至2012年就读于法国巴黎CLCF电影学院电影导演专业。曾参与过多部院线电影与独⽴电影的后期制作，具有丰富的电影拍摄经验与独特的艺术审美品味。长期探索以东方美学为核心主题的多种影像美学风格，持续关注电影与社会、电影史与艺术史、古典文学与女性主义等相关议题。2020年独⽴制作纪录片《唐山—记忆之城》（制作中。荣膺“2023新鲜提案-CCDF选择提案奖”）、电影短⽚《夜色温柔》（俄罗斯黑天鹅国际电影节安德烈·塔可夫斯基提名荣誉）与实验诗影像《冷却的白昼》（入围德国歌德学院诗歌影像作品方案征集）。

近期筹备院线电影⻓片《玫瑰冰室》（荣膺“第三届亚洲华语电影节优秀创投项⽬”，担任导演兼编剧）与《暮云深处》（担任导演兼编剧）等。2020年创立M青年电影小组，任创始人。

邱平香梓

毕业于北京电影学院文学系电影剧作专业，现就读于伦敦金史密斯大学纯艺硕士。作为艺术家、策展人于2021年北京天青艺术中心、2022年伦敦IMT Gallery策展并展出作品，北京夜行蝙蝠艺术工作室主理。编剧作品包括税法律政题材网剧《大河之水》等、剪辑作品《最后的浪漫主义》。

荣荣&映里

中国摄影艺术家荣荣与日本摄影艺术家映里（inri）自2000年开始合作。他们的摄影作品在展现两人共同创造的独特、感性世界外，也表达了对传统手工照片和暗房技术进行持续探索及拓展的坚持。荣荣&映里备受关注的作品，如《富士山》、《自然》、《六里屯》和《妻有物语》等，将人与生存环境、人与自然的关系作为主题，也是对从死亡和废墟到重生和超越的视觉叙事的充满诗意的沉思。

2007年，荣荣&映里在北京草场地国际艺术区创办了三影堂摄影艺术中心，这是中国第一个由艺术家自资创立的摄影艺术中心，同时也是一个开放互动的国际性交流平台。2008年起，荣荣&映里启动了“三影堂摄影奖(TSPA)”活动，旨在鼓励并挖掘中国最具潜力的摄影艺术家。2010年，他们与法国阿尔勒国际摄影节 (Les Rencontres d'Arles) 合作，在2010至2012年间连续举办了三届“阿尔勒在北京-草场地摄影季”。2015年，随着三影堂厦门摄影艺术中心的成立，他们在厦门市集美区启动一年一度的集美·阿尔勒国际摄影季。2016年，世界摄影组织为荣荣&映里颁发索尼世界摄影奖“摄影杰出贡献奖”，以表彰他们的艺术创作和对亚洲摄影界的贡献。

董冰峰

现为谢子龙影像艺术馆学术总监，中国美院跨媒体艺术学院研究员。2005至今曾先后担任广东美术馆与尤伦斯当代艺术中心策展人、伊比利亚当代艺术中心副馆长、栗宪庭电影基金艺术总监和北京OCAT研究中心学术总监。同时他也担任多个艺术机构、艺术理论丛书和影展的学术委员、主编与国际评委。董冰峰曾获“CCAA中国当代艺术评论奖”（2013）、“《YISHU》典藏国际版中国当代艺术评论奖”（2015）和亚洲艺术文献库“何鸿毅家族基金中华研究驻留奖”（2017）。董冰峰的研究领域包括影像艺术、独立电影、中国当代艺术史、展览史与当代批评理论。

"The Rose And The Revolution: A Film's Visual Notes" is the first visual art exhibition held by the M Youth Film Group, established in 2020. The initial idea for the exhibition was to focus on the concept, story structure, aesthetic solutions, and other themes of the film "The Rose And The Revolution". As the project evolved, it solidified the form of the exhibition as a dialogue and mutual transformation between the film project and visual art expression.

The story of the film "The Rose And The Revolution" begins in 1968 when the political camps after World War II had been re-established. At this time in Japan, on one hand, with the onset of the Vietnam War, the military-industrial complex was rapidly on the rise; on the other hand, the Communist movement was unstoppable in various sectors of society. Zhang Jianqiu, a Chinese student studying in Japan, accidentally rescued leftist filmmaker Yuhan Shinichi during a social conflict. At his bedside, Jianqiu retraces the 1940s, filled with the old Northeast "Manchurian Cinema", entanglements of love, war, and revolutionary changes, through conversations with Yuhan. A belt and a roll of film hide a secret: a tumultuous past shared between Yuhan and a Chinese woman...

The "The Rose And The Revolution: A Film's Visual Notes" exhibition is divided into two parts. The first part is a parallel dialogue between the historical documents of "Manchurian Cinema" and the "Island Cinema" of Shanghai at the same period. The second part focuses on war documents and video installations of Li Xianglan in historical images. As Dominique Païni, the advocate of "film exhibitions" and former director of the French National Film Archives, pointed out, "Film is a contemporary art that summons the past, compares, presents, and develops critical and creative attitudes through current images." This exhibition, through a polyphonic combination of historical documents and audio-visual installations, tries to convey the potential artistic dialogue inherent in a dynamic view of history and its conversation with today's reality.

Siyuan

Born in 1986 in Tangshan, China, Siyuan studied film directing at the CLCF in Paris from 2008 to 2012. She has participated in the post-production of many theatrical and independent films, and has rich experience in film shooting and unique aesthetic taste. She has been exploring a variety of video aesthetics with oriental aesthetics as the core theme, and continues to focus on issues related to film and society, film history and art history, classical literature and feminism, etc. In 2020, She independently produced the documentary film "Tangshan - The City of Memory" (in production.). In 2020, She produced the documentary film "Tangshan - City of Memory" (in production. Winner of the "Fresh Proposals 2023 - CCDF Choice Proposal Award"), the short film "Tenderness of the Night" (Honourable Mention by Andrei Tarkovsky at the Black Swan International Film Festival, Russia), and the experimental poem-image "Cooling Daylight" (finalist in the Goethe-Institut's Call for Proposals for Poetry Images).

Recently, She has been preparing the theatrical films "The Rose and the Revolution" (director and screenwriter, winner of the "Outstanding Venture Project of the 3rd Asian Chinese Film Festival") and "Landscape in the Mist" (director and screenwriter), etc. In 2020, She founded the M Youth Film Group. She is the founder.

Qiu Pingxiangzi

Graduated from the Film Scriptwriting Department of the Literature Division at the Beijing Film Academy, currently pursuing a Master's degree in Fine Arts at Goldsmiths, University of London. As an artist and curator, curated and exhibited works at the Beijing Tianqing Art Center in 2021 and the IMT Gallery in London in 2022. Also in charge of the Beijing Nocturnal Bat Art Studio. Written works include the online drama "Waters of the Grand River" with a focus on legal and political themes, as well as the edited work "The Last Romanticism".

RongRong & inri

RongRong (China) and inri (Japan) have been working together since 2000. Their works reflect the intimate world that they have created together and push the boundaries of traditional black-and-white darkroom techniques. Their critically acclaimed series of works, such as In Fujisan, Japan 2001 (2001), Liulitun, Beijing (1996-2003), and Tsumari Story (2012-2014), reflect their shared life and surroundings, delving into the rapidly changing world around them.

RongRong&inri’s works are in the collection of many important art museums, such as Tate Modern (London), MoMA (New York), J. Paul Getty Museum (Los Angeles), Foundation Guy & Myriam Ullens (Beijing), Tokyo Photographic Art Museum (Tokyo) and National Museum of Australia (Canberra). RongRong&inri received the Outstanding Contribution to Photography Award at the 2016 Sony World Photography Awards, and the International Award at the 2022 Photography Society of Japan Awards, in recognition of both their careers as artists and their significant impact on Asian photography.

Dong Bingfeng

Dong Bingfeng is a curator and producer based in Beijing. He currently holds the position of Academic Director of Xie Zilong Photography Museum. Since 2005, Dong Bingfeng has worked as a curator in Guangdong Museum of Art and Ullens Center for Contemporary Art, Deputy Director of the Iberia Center for Contemporary Art, Art Director of Li Xianting’s Film Fund, and Academic Director of OCAT Institute. In 2013, Dong Bingfeng was awarded the “CCAA Chinese Contemporary Art Critic Award”. In 2015, he was awarded the Chinese Contemporary Art Critic Award of Yishu: Journal of Contemporary Chinese Art. In 2017,he was awarded the Robert H. N. Ho Family Foundation Greater China Research Grant.
