首尔弗里兹艺术博览会 FRIEZE Seoul 2023 | 阿拉里奥画廊展位 Booth A22

阿拉里奥画廊欣然宣布即将参加2023年9月6日至9日举办的首尔弗里兹艺术博览会(FRIEZE Seoul 2023)。画廊将呈现本年度在艺术界引起广泛关注的阿拉里奥代表性艺术家之绘画、摄影、影像与雕塑作品。

ARARIO GALLERY will participate in "FRIEZE Seoul 2023," Asia's largest art fair, from September 6th to 9th, presenting paintings, photographs, videos, and sculptures from ARARIO GALLERY's representative artists who have garnered attention in the art world this year.

此次展览将聚焦近期被授予“京都奖”(编者注：日本最高私人奖项，被视为日本的诺贝尔奖，该奖项旨在表彰对科学进步、文明进步和人类精神丰富做出重大贡献的人士）的艺术家纳里尼·马拉尼 Nalini Malani。这位以iPad动画作品而闻名的艺术家曾被世界各地的主流美术馆及博物馆展出与收藏，其中包括伦敦泰特现代美术馆、巴黎蓬皮杜中心和纽约现代艺术博物馆。作为亚洲首屈一指的女性艺术家，纳里尼·马拉尼通过将印度的分裂和历史与个人经历相结合，以创作出新的叙事，其专注于不同族裔的语言和宗教相融所引发的持续性混乱与冲突，以及由此而生的创伤。位于首尔的阿拉里奥画廊将于9月1日起为纳里尼·马拉尼举办个人展览。

At the ARARIO GALLERY booth, the works of Nalini MALANI, who has recently been awarded the ‘Kyoto Prize’ in Art and Philosophy, will be a focal point. The artist, known for her iPad animation works, has been exhibited and collected at major art galleries and museums worldwide, including Tate Modern in London, Centre Pompidou in Paris, and the Museum of Modern Art in New York. She is a leading female artist from Asia. Nalini MALANI creates narrative stories by blending India's partition and history with her personal experiences, focusing on the ongoing chaos and conflicts arising from the mingling of languages and religions from various ethnicities, as well as the trauma resulting from it. ARARIO GALLERY in Seoul will hold a solo exhibition of Nalini MALANI's works starting on September 1st.

画廊还将推出韩国第一代实验艺术家郑江子（JUNG Kangja）1998年的作品《韩服与夜色》。郑江子曾于1967年，以韩国先锋艺术团体“New Exhibition Coterie”成员之一的身份，参与了具有里程碑意义的展览《韩国青年艺术家协会展》，该展览集结了一众挑战主流艺术的年轻艺术家，并由此开始崭露头角。作为韩国20世纪六七十年代现场行为和表演艺术的先驱，郑江子以《透明气球与裸体》（1968年）和《汉江边的谋杀》（1968年）等作品而闻名，对韩国文化和社会产生了深远影响。郑江子也是前卫行动艺术团体“the Fourth group”的成员，她以大胆的作品和行动吸引了媒体的关注，这些作品毫不掩饰其女性特质。最近在首尔国立现当代艺术博物馆（MMCA）展出的《只有年轻人：韩国1960-70 年代的实验艺术》计划于今年9月巡回至纽约所罗门·R·古根海姆博物馆，明年初将前往洛杉矶哈默博物馆。此外，画廊还将于今年10月举办的Frieze Masters“现代女性”单元中特别呈现郑江子的个人项目。

Notably, the fair will feature Scenery of Hanbok and the Moon (1998) by JUNG Kangja, a first-generation experimental artist from Korea. JUNG Kangja began to make a name for herself by participating as a member of the Korean avant-garde art group ‘New Exhibition Coterie’ in the monumental exhibition(1967), which brought together young artists' challenges to mainstream art. The artist, known for works like Transparent Balloons and Nudes (1968) and Murder at the Han Riverside (1968), led Korea's early happenings and performances in the 1960s and 70s, greatly influencing Korean culture and society. As a member of the avant-garde action art group 'The Fourth Group,' she drew media attention with bold works and actions that didn't hide her femininity. The recently exhibited <Only the Young: Experimental Art in Korea, 1960s-1970s> at the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art in Seoul is scheduled to tour to the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum in New York this September and the Hammer Museum in LA early next year. Also, a solo booth will be prepared at Frieze Masters in October, selected for the ‘Modern Women’ section.

阿拉里奥画廊自1989年创立至今，分别于韩国天安、首尔和上海拥有其支点画廊。在过去的三十年间，阿拉里奥画廊始终致力于关注与推广亚洲与国际艺术家，丰富其艺术家名单，并长期培养支持年轻艺术家。其代理的五十余位艺术家来自韩、日、中、印和东南亚地区各国，涵盖自20世纪70年代至今的实验艺术先锋，创作门类包括视觉艺术、绘画、雕塑、影像以及装置等众多艺术类别，突出展现亚洲地区令人瞩目的社会历史文化。

自2005年入驻北京798艺术区起，阿拉里奥通过展示亚洲地区极具代表性的优秀艺术家，迅速成为中国当代艺术发展的重要枢纽。2014年8月，上海徐家汇衡山坊馆正式开馆，2017年7月迁址上海西岸，与来自中国和海外的艺术家一道为中国艺术舞台的多元性注入活力，继续作为中国当代艺术的先驱力量而存在。

2022年，由日本艺术家名和晃平及其SANDWICH工作室倾力打造的上海新空间落址西岸国际传媒港，集当代先锋艺术、国际限量艺术衍生品、收藏级家具设计、潮流时装快闪与精品咖啡品牌为一体，致力于打造一个当代都市长效生活方式的策展式艺术商业复合空间。
