逸空间荣幸地宣布参加2023年西岸艺术与设计博览会，在展位DQ1呈现艺术家卞少之、黄靖杰的双个展项目「发·生」&「观·山」，展览现场我们将看到两位艺术家数件新近之作，以及他们如何通过各自的创作方式，展现不同的内心景观。

East Gallery is honored to announce its participation in the 2023 Westbund, showcasing artists Bian Shaozhi and Huang Jingjie's dual solo exhibitions "Germinate Grow" and "Watching Mountains" at BOOTH DQ1. At the exhibition site, we will see several recent works by the two artists and how they can showcase different inner landscapes through their respective creative methods.

卞少之近一年半的创作围绕着他的生活与工作场域展开一一在泥土里成长的生姜，发芽的土豆，拟人化描写的动物，画室窗外的画面以及艺术家所听的音乐等，这些元素构成作品中生机勃勃的画面，反映人们成长过程中的心理情感与精神志趣。卞少之的个性语言完美融汇了东方特有的笔墨质感，具有超逸的抒写性。他自如地运用各种油画材质，与东方气韵浑然一体，以独特的视角与手法，创作出朴素又浪漫的超然臆像，寓意轻松而深刻。卞少之的作品里有时间和空间流动的痕迹，他不断向内及向外地编织与延伸其线索，引发观者对于个人成长和外部环境的共鸣。‍‍

Bian Shaozhi's creations in the past year and a half revolve around his life and work - ginger growing in the soil, sprouting potatoes, anthropomorphic animals, the pictures outside the studio window and the music the artist listens to, etc. These elements constitute the vibrant pictures in the work, reflecting people's psychological emotions and spiritual interests in the process of growth.Bian Shaozhi's personal language perfectly integrates the unique oriental brush and ink texture and possesses transcendent expressiveness. He freely uses various oil painting materials, integrating with the oriental charm, with a unique perspective and technique, he creates a simple and romantic transcendental imagination, with a relaxed and profound meaning. There are traces of the flow of time and space in Bian Shaozhi's works. He constantly weaves and extends his clues inward and outward, triggering the viewer's resonance with personal growth and the external environment.

黄靖杰关于山水方向的创作是他对于纸的再次思考，也是对主题的一种纵向延续和探索。在他的画面中，折叠、分割、穿插是平面绘画中的浅浮雕尝试，画在这一过程中产生物性。黄靖杰近期的作品更呈现出东方性的探索，他利用绢的柔软和细腻，试图在折纸、山水、绢本这些软和硬的概念中寻找硬边几何和文人山水的平衡，突出画面的和谐构成。同时，他以自身的观看经验对于经营位置、移步换景、画面留白的概念中寻找中西方文化的差异或相恰。黄靖杰以纸造景，从不断结构与解构的西方图像逻辑中“解脱”而出，从理性的色彩构成中回到了感性的内心色彩。

Huang Jingjie's creationabout landscape is his rethinking of properties of paper, and it is also a vertical continuation and exploration of the theme. In his paintings, folding, segmentation, and interspersion are attempts at bas-relief in flat paintings, and the painting produces physical properties in this process.Huang Jingjie’s recent works further demonstrate the exploration of oriental nature. He used the softness and delicacy of silk trying to find the balance between hard-edged geometry and literati landscapes in soft and hard concepts such as paper folding, landscape, and silk, highlighting the harmonious composition of the picture. At the same time, he used his own viewing experience to search for the differences or compatibility between Chinese and Western cultures in the concepts of arranging positions, changing scenes when moving, and leaving blank. Huang Jingjie uses paper to create landscapes, ‘liberating’ from the Western image logic of constant structure and deconstruction, and returning to the emotional inner color from rational color composition.
