麦勒画廊将于今年的Artissima博览会中聚焦对传统绘画和雕塑的现代诠释。我们将呈现包括陈作、苗妙、鞠婷和胡庆雁在内的中国艺术家，以及马里昂·巴鲁克（Marion Baruch）、米尔科·巴泽吉亚（Mirko Baselgia）和高嫣（Rebekka Steiger）在内的西方艺术家的新作，为观众呈现丰富多元的艺术体验。

This year’s Artissima exhibition focuses on showcasing modern interpretations of traditional painting and sculpture. We’re featuring artists from both China, such as Chen Zuo, Miao Miao, Ju Ting, and Hu Qingyan, as well as Western artists like Marion Baruch, Mirko Baselgia, and Rebekka Steiger to represent the divergent genres in contemporary art.

米尔科·巴泽吉亚（1982年生于瑞士Lantsch/Lenz）以大自然中的材料和回收材料开展创作，以多维方式探索人类的存在及其对生态系统的影响。他使用手织帆布和来自他所居住地区的颜料等原始材料并通过大量的研究进行创作，从不拘泥于任何单一媒介。时间在他的创作中至关重要，因为它涉及到材料的转化。他有意强调艺术制作的生态性。作品的质朴也将观者带入了一片宁静和内省的空间。

Mirko Baselgia (b. 1982 in Lantsch/Lenz, Switzerland) is working with natural and recycled materials, exploring human existence and its imprint on ecosystems in a multifaceted way. He constructs paintings from handwoven canvas and primary materials, such as pigments, gathered in his region of residence. Time plays an essential role in his creations, as there are transformational processes involved regarding the materials. He intentionally aims to highlight the ecological side of art production. His sober creations transcend us into a space of calm and introspection.

鞠婷（1983年生于山东）的作品兼具绘画和雕塑的特征，并模糊了这两个传统媒介之间的界限。和前几个系列相比，最新的“琥珀”系列在创作方式上得到了演化和递进。“琥珀”系列的画面上首次出现了彩色几何形象，远处看起来像是宝石内光线折射的空间幻觉。走近时，复杂而饱和的细节形成迷人的视觉效果，将之前具象的视觉印象打散消弭。

Ju Ting (b. 1983 in Shandong Province, China) is one of China’s foremost young female contemporary artists with a work characterized by coalescing two conventional art media: painting and sculpture, and obscuring the boundary between the two. Amber, the artist’s most recent series, marks an evolution and progression in her creative methods from previous series. Colorful geometric images appear in the picture for the first time, appearing from a distance to be spatial illusions caused by the refraction of light within gemstones. Up close, the complex, saturated details produce an enchanting visual effect, dispelling previous visual impressions of figuration.

苗妙（1986年生于河南）的作品围绕日常生活的内部与外部展开，痴迷、迂回于颜色与形状，掺杂文学性并试图清晰地描述混乱。苗妙通过绘画实现当下的探险，在自己的外部呈现大量自我对峙的日常生活。她的绘画可以被看作是对时间的扭曲和重新排序。她的兴趣在于维持和完善时间的关系，但在最后的表达中，时间往往是交错或扭曲的，而真实的生活场景却被抹去了。

Miao Miao’s (b. 1986 in Henan Province, China) works revolve around the interior and exterior of everyday life, dominated by color and form, and blend with literature to articulate chaos. Miao Miao realizes the exploration of time and moment through painting. Meanwhile, she presents a lot of daily life of self-confrontation outside herself. Her paintings can be seen as a reordering of time. Her interest lies in maintaining and perfecting the relationship of time, but in the final expression, time is often staggered or distorted, while real-life scenes are erased.

一个形状、一块颜色、一个物体，甚至一段记忆都可能成为陈作（1990年生于湖南）绘画的灵感。艺术家选择这些能让其共情的“物”作为开始，以个人的体验在一个更加宏观及遥远的背景中找到一种隐喻、反讽，或者抒情的呼应关系。今年春季，陈作在麦勒画廊北京举办了个展“林中造屋”。

Painting is the most important artistic practice of Chen Zuo (b. 1990 in Hunan, China). A color, an object, a memory or even a feeling can become the inspiration of a new painting. The artist carefully selects these objects as a starting point to develop a metaphor, an irony or a lyrical echo in a more macroscopic and distant background through personal experience. Chen Zuo held his first solo exhibition The Unbeatable Winter in our gallery in Beijing this spring.

胡庆雁（1982年生于山东）持续不断地探索媒介、形态和再现。胡庆雁的作品和形态或直率，或诙谐，形成了独特而出人意料的艺术语言，启发观者对日常之物的反思。他最近的大理石系列延续了虚空的主题，为中性、冰冷的材料注入了细腻的私人情感，潜藏着其对周遭现实的感知。

Hu Qingyan (b. 1982 in Shandong, China) engages in continuous exploration of medium, form and presentation. These works and forms, sometimes frank, sometimes humorus, have come together into a distinctly individual artistic language that bring encounters with the unexpected, while inspiring the viewer to reflect on everyday conventions. His most recent marble series continue the theme of emptiness, imbuing this neutral cold material with tender, individual human sentiment, while condensing and transforming the artist’s perceptions of the surrounding reality and society.

瑞士先锋画家高嫣（1993年生于瑞士苏黎世）荣获了2022瑞士日内瓦“F.P.Journe”奖。她将绘画视为一种流动的思维状态，更注重自发性、偶然性，而非刻板概念。她的绘画实践是一种自然而然的行为，一种自发的需求，将身体和灵魂、物质和观念、具象和抽象结合在一起，熟悉之物变得陌生而新奇，游移于抽象和具象之间。在中国和越南参加驻地创作期间，她的艺术创作因此转变。今年秋天，我们麦勒画廊的苏黎世和卢塞恩空间举办了她的个展，呈现了她在2022年10月至2023年4月参加越南驻地项目期间创作的最新作品。

The pioneering Swiss painter Rebekka Steiger (b. 1993 in Zurich, Switzerland), the winner of the prix solo by Artgenève-F.P. Journe in 2022. Seeing painting as a fluid state of mind, the artist embraces spontaneity over rigid concepts. Her practice is a natural act, a spontaneous need that combines body and soul, matter and concept, figuration and evocation, a field where the familiar grows alien–swaying between abstraction and figuration. Spending residencies in China and Vietnam prompted a transformation in her artistic approach. This Autumn we held a solo show in two parts by the artist in Zurich and Lucerne gallery spaces, showcasing the most recent works from her Vietnamese residency programme from October 2022 to April 2023.

94岁的马里昂·巴鲁克（1929年生于罗马尼亚蒂米什瓦拉）的创作极为丰富庞杂，并且历经戏剧性的风格变化。自2013年以来，巴鲁克对成衣面料的剩余物重新构思，将其纳入批判性叙事中，展现出她对社会语境的浓厚兴趣。她的作品巧妙地融合了现成面料、混合纹理、颜色和图案，挑战了传统的艺术规范，也奠定了她在当代纺织艺术领域中的开创性地位。

94-year-old Marion Baruch’s (b. 1929 in Timişoara, Romania) extensive body of work has undergone dramatic stylistic shifts. Since 2013 Baruch mounts prêt-à-porter fabric remnants and conceptualizes them into a critical narrative, bringing up her deep interest in social contexts. By incorporating found fabric, blending textures, colors, and patterns harmoniously in her thoughtprovoking compositions, her practice challenges conventional art norms, solidifying her as a pioneering and significant figure in contemporary textile art.
