张伟是从上一波当代艺术硬边抽象风潮（2014年前后）中一路走来的艺术家，近年来也开始了明显的风格推进，更讲究抽象绘画绘制过程中的手感，与众多从图像介入抽象的艺术家拉开了距离。“绘制”而非制图，成为张伟抽象绘画最明显的特征之一；另一个显著特点就是他对于绘画材料的感悟，对于材料特性的表达是当代硬边抽象最关键的课题，这也是张伟作品最关注的核心之一。

Zhang Wei is an artist who has come all the way through the wave of hard-edged abstract in contemporary art (around 2014). In recent years, he has also begun to more visibly consolidate his artistic style, paying more attention to the sensation of hand painting in the abstract painting process, in doing so distancing from many other artists who engage in abstraction from images. Painting, rather than drawing, has become one of the most iconic features of Zhang Wei's abstract works. The other notable feature is his interpretation of painting materials. The expression of materials’ character is the most critical theme in contemporary hard-edged abstract art - this is also core to Zhang Wei's artworks.

Sailing Space

赛麟空间于2019年成立于上海，是一家致力于以专业知识参与到当代艺术领域的画廊机构。该画廊关注正在发生的当代艺术现象，不断发掘和合作具有时代价值的艺术家，并将艺术家的发展作为自身工作的核心。画廊在深耕中国长三角地区的同时，于英国伦敦设立了卫星团队，以未来艺术史的书写可能作为自身价值判断的标准，努力建构符合时代意义的艺术机构。

Founded in Shanghai in 2019, Sailing Space is a gallery dedicated to participating in contemporary art with professional knowledge. The gallery pays close attention to the rising contemporary, constantly exploring and cooperating with artists who reflect the value of the era. 'Grow Together with Artists' is the core value of our mission.
