Art Jakarta 2023｜阿拉里奥展位 Booth A2

阿拉里奥画廊欣然宣布将参加 2023 年 11 月 17 日至 19 日举行的雅加达艺术博览会（Art Jakarta）。期间将呈现来自韩国、印度尼西亚和菲律宾的艺术家的作品，包括权五祥（GWON Osang）、乌吉·汉多科·埃科·萨普特罗（Uji Handoko Eko Saputro）、杰拉尔丁·哈维尔（Geraldine JAVIER）、李智玹（LEE Jihyun）、李珍珠（LEE Jinju）、卢相镐（NOH Sangho）、艾柯·努格罗荷（Eko NUGROHO）和沈来廷（SIM Raejung）。展位号A2。

ARARIO GALLERY is pleased to announce its participation in Art Jakarta 2023 from 17 to 19 November. Works of artists from Korea, Indonesia and the Philippines including GWON Osang, Uji Handoko Eko Saputro, Geraldine JAVIER, LEE Jihyun, LEE Jinju, NOH Sangho, Eko NUGROHO and SIM Raejung will be on view at Booth A2.

艾柯·努格罗荷（Eko NUGROHO，生于1977年）成长于1990年代的印度尼西亚，他将这一时期的经历，特别是多次民间思潮的影响，以独特的幽默感、绚丽的色彩和形象融入其作品中。在印度尼西亚艺术学院（Institut Seni Indonesia）学习期间，他受约加达市对自由和解放的渴望启发，试图将这些情感转化为街头涂鸦，旨在通过这些媒介纯粹地代表公众发声。此外，他还通过绘画、装置和戏剧作品拓展了自我实现的范畴。努格罗荷的传统印尼刺绣作品，结合了他特有的大胆风格以及对社区劳力的关注，将艺术从个人领域扩展到社会层面，强调了社区的意义。

Eko NUGROHO (b.1977) was raised among the revolutionary environment of the 1990s Indonesian atmosphere and pour those experiences caused by the aftereffect of multiple civil revolutions into his work with a unique sense of humor and dazzling color and image. Ever since his days in Institut Seni Indonesia, he was deeply inspired by The city, Yogyakarta, which was full of desire for liberty and liberation and he tried to transform them into street graffiti and street propaganda, with the intention to follow those media pure intent to speak for the public and further, he has worked on a painting, installation and theatric works to expand his span of self-realization. Traditional Indonesian embroidery works, which based on his own community's workforce with his distinctive bold style, expand art from individual to social area and highlight the meaning of community.

努格罗荷的刺绣作品采用印尼一个小村庄的传统刺绣技术制作。为了振兴在当代社会中看似无法持续的传统刺绣业务，努格罗荷提出与该村庄合作，并自2007年起创作这些“刺绣画作”。通过与传统刺绣工艺者合作并为他们提供新机会，努格罗荷成功振兴了这一即将消失的行业。这些作品起初是对艺术在社会中所扮演角色的质疑，如今却代表了对地方社区的价值以及艺术家对更新型社会共同体的信念。

NUGROHO's embroidery works made using traditional embroidery techniques from a small village in Indonesia. In order to revive the traditional embroidery business, which did not seem sustainable in today's society, the artist proposed a collaboration with the village and has been producing these "embroidered paintings" since 2007. NUGROHO was able to revitalize the disappearing industry by collaborating with and providing new opportunities for traditional embroiderers. These works, initiated by questioning the societal role of art, now represent the value of local community and the artist's belief in a renewed communal society.

杰拉尔丁·哈维尔（Geraldine JAVIER，生于1970年）捕捉了菲律宾面临的历史和社会政治现实，并以其独特的视觉语言进行诠释。与以往专注于社会主义现实主义的菲律宾艺术家不同，哈维尔创造了一个丰富多彩的独特叙事，涵盖了从神话、自然到童年故事和死亡的必然性等多样主题。自2013年迁居到巴丹加斯省的宁静居住地后，她对自然和环境问题的热情进一步加深。

Geraldine JAVIER (b. 1970) captures the historical and socio-political realities faced by the Philippines, translating them into her own visual language. Setting herself apart from earlier Filipino artists engrossed in socialist realism, JAVIER carves out a unique narrative enriched by a plethora of diverse themes, ranging from myths and nature to the stories of childhood and the inevitability of death. Since relocating to the serene surroundings of the Province of Batangas in 2013, her passion for nature and environmental concerns has deepened.

The series Project Next Earth (2022) offers a captivating portrayal of various natural entities, including seaweed, mushrooms, plankton, and jellyfish. These are set against a cosmic backdrop, as if floating in a space echoing the vast universe. She crafts this universe using rich pigments for the background, later intricately engraving each form. These masterpieces come to life through the "encaustic" technique a time-honored method where melted pigments blend with wax before adorning the canvas. The result is a piece that dries swiftly, retaining the raw essence of its materials and adding depth to the canvas. Surrounding each natural figure are finely engraved elliptical patterns, hinting at both arcane shamanistic rituals and the order of the cosmos. By casting even the tiniest of Earth's flora and fauna in such a grand light, these paintings beckon us to rethink our viewpoint for the forthcoming epochs of our world.

2022年，由日本艺术家名和晃平及其SANDWICH工作室倾力打造的上海新空间落址西岸国际传媒港，集当代先锋艺术、国际限量艺术衍生品、收藏级家具设计、潮流时装快闪与精品咖啡品牌为一体，致力于打造一个当代都市长效生活方式的策展式艺术商业复合空间。
