索卡艺术荣幸宣布群展“世界的词语是？”于2023年10月28日正式开幕，由温傑思策展。
“世界的词语是？”旨在与我们的共同未来对话。展览呈现四位居于伦敦的艺术家创作的雕塑、绘画和装置艺术作品，这些作品将神话与民间传说交织在一起，为反思人类本性、进化史和乌托邦欲望等普遍主题提供了开放性的语境。

阿利亚·哈塔1999年出⽣于⻢来⻄亚，是⼀位常驻伦敦和吉隆坡的多媒体艺术家。哈塔的创作，习惯于从个⼈成⻓的经历和记忆⼊⼿，基于现有的⽂化符号，结合想象⼒和东南亚神话的传统来创造在视觉形式、⾊彩和空间上多元以及独特的虚拟空间；嬉戏的⼉童、⽼少族群的聚会和原始森林中神秘的动植物形象都是她常常描绘的对象。她的绘画、雕塑和新媒体作品从⼈和社群中交错的社会关系中汲取灵感，构建了⾃身独特以⽣动⾊彩光谱与形象重叠的抽象语⾔，探索⼈类关系亲密和离散的状态。

Alya Hatta (b.1999, Malaysia) is an interdisciplinary artist working between London and Kuala Lumpur. Alya Hatta draws on experiences and memories to create worlds experimenting with form, colour, and space. Her works explore intimacies and the diasporic human condition, drawing inspiration from people and communities both near and far. Hatta’s works breathe in the space, creating alternate realities and new spaces, celebrating her identity and the communities she has encountered.

Rosalind Howdle (b. 1997) is a British-American artist based in London. She is interested in what happens at the boundary between two entities – in the electric charge of the dividing line, which often splices the painting into above-ground and below-ground, into day and night, into the visible and invisible growth processes. Sliding between humour and horror, Rosalind Howdle’s paintings explore the uncanny. She plays upon the tradition of still life with her attention to colour, line and composition, but the nature of her subject matter subverts this. Within the themes of costume, mutation and body horror, these paintings toe the line between the disturbing and the playful.

阿利亚·哈塔
Alya Hatta
哈塔在2021年于伦敦⾦史密斯学院获得纯美术学⼠学位，并在2023于伦敦皇家艺术学院获得绘画硕⼠学位。她⼊围2022年MMG X Start Art Fair奖和2022年英格拉姆绘画奖。哈塔的作品曾在世界多个艺术机构和博览会展出，其中包括：伦敦、⽶兰、巴黎、吉隆坡、东京、图宾根和悉尼。同时，哈塔是伦敦东南亚艺术家团体 “⽆名会”的创始成员之⼀。
Hatta graduated with an MA in Painting at the Royal College of Art in 2023 and a BA in Fine Art at Goldsmiths, University of London in 2021. She was shortlisted for the MMG X Start Art Fair and Ingram Prize in 2022. She has exhibited internationally in London, Milan, Paris, Kuala Lumpur, Tokyo, Tübingen and Sydney. Hatta is a member of the London-based Southeast Asian artist group ‘Unamed Collective’.

罗莎琳德·豪德尔
Rosalind Howdle
豪德尔荣获阿⾥·H·阿尔卡⻬奖学⾦，在2022年毕业于皇家艺术学院绘画专业，在2019年获得伦敦艺术⼤学坎伯维尔艺术学院的绘画硕⼠学位，美国的罗德岛设计学院和加拿⼤的艾⽶丽·卡尔艺术与设计⼤学进⾏学习。她在2019年获得了艺术创作前卫奖，并在2022年⼊围Now Introducing Prize，2023年⼊选Artlyst's 最受瞩⽬艺术家名单。豪德尔的作品曾在世界多个艺术机构展出和收藏，其中包括：伦敦、温哥华、柏林、⽶兰和上海。
Howdle studied Painting at the Royal College of Art (2022) as a recipient of the Ali H. Alkazzi Scholarship, and at Camberwell College of Arts, UAL (2019). She has also studied at the Rhode Island School of Design (U.S.) and Emily Carr University of Art and Design (Canada). She was awarded The Vanguard Prize in 2019, shortlisted for the Now Introducing Prize in 2022, and included in Artlyst’s Ones to Watch 2023. Howdle’s work has been exhibited internationally in London, Vancouver, Berlin, Milan and Shanghai.
