The Allegory Whisperer

动物之美总令艺术家们为其着迷，从而将动物作为灵感来源和主要视觉元素融入作品中。近几十年来，当代艺术家开始关注环境危机，意识到人类影响自然的形势。他们通过作品揭示人与动物关系的复杂性。

Artists have been always fascinated by the beauty of animals and they often incorporate them into their work as source of inspiration and main visual elements. In the last decades, contemporary artists, addressing the concern for environmental crisis and the awareness of human tendency to influence nature, started to shed light on the complexity of our relationship with animals.  

继《秘密花园》《秦玮鸿的雕塑王国》《天使熊》之后，芳草地画廊再次推出艺术家秦玮鸿的个展《我的故事还没讲完》。展览将呈献一系列围绕动物形象的绘画与雕塑新作，探讨我们与动物的联系及其隐喻内涵。艺术家秦玮鸿的作品以俏皮可爱的外形、鲜艳的色彩和拟人化的特征为特色，一方面传递出积极向上的能量和活力，另一方面也包含对我们如何与动物相处的广泛解读和隐喻。正如南非作家劳伦斯·凡·德·普司特（Laurens Van Der Post ）所言，非人类动物使反思意识成为可能，因为它们是我们自身的映像：代表了人类行为和互动形式的投射，是一种反思社会动态和人类学的寓言。

After “Secret Garden”, “Qin Weihong Sculpture Kingdom” and “Angel Bear”, Parkview Green Art presents another solo show of the artist Qin Weihong titled “The Allegory Whisperer”, which showcases a wide range of new paintings and sculptures revolving around the representation of animals to explore our connections with them and their metaphorical connotations. Characterized by a playful and cute appearance with bright and iridescent colors and anthropomorphised traits, Qin Weihong's subject matters on the one hand, convey positive energy and vitality, on the other hand, suggest a wide range of readings and metaphorical interpretations of how we relate to animals. As mentioned by the South African writer Laurens Van Der Post, non-human animals make reflective consciousness possible because they are the reflected images of ourselves: they represent a projection of human behavior and interaction and become allegories to reflect upon social dynamics and anthropological constellations.

秦玮鸿的动物寓言集在视觉上借鉴了波普艺术与超现实主义的元素，突出了人类与动物世界的相似性，同时又强调了动物的独特性。倡导承认动物多样性的重要性：作为丰富自我的重要途径，为反思和激进的幻想开辟了新的空间。重新审视我们与动物漫长的历史，虽然这些联系往往充满了矛盾，但却提醒我们：人类与动物之间的关系比我们通常想象的更加亲密，而动物与文化之间的联系亦如相互缠绕的秘境。

Qin Weihong “bestiaries”,  while visually referencing the tradition of pop art and elements of surrealism, on the one hand highlight the similarities between mankind and the world of animals, on the other hand emphasize the uniqueness of animals, advocating the importance of acknowledging their diversity as a way to enrich the self and open up new space for reflection and radical fantasy. Reconsidering our long, often fraught, relationships with animals reminds us that humans are closer to animals and animals far closer to culture than we often care to think.

秦玮鸿，2010年毕业于中央美术学院雕塑系，曾于国内外重要美术馆、画廊及商业空间举办多次个人展览。并活跃于国际各大博览会，如巴塞尔博览会、伦敦艺博会、纽约军械库、艺术北京等。作品曾被纽约时报、时尚芭莎等媒体杂志刊登报道。

Qin Weihong, a graduate of the Sculpture Department at the Central Academy of Fine Arts in 2010, has held numerous solo exhibitions in significant art museums, galleries, and commercial spaces both domestically and internationally. He has been actively participating in major international art fairs, including Art Basel, London Art Fair, New York Armory, and Art Beijing. His works have been featured in media outlets such as The New York Times and Vogue.
