ACC REVIEW OF THE YEAR 2023

Looking back to 2023, ACC, as a professional art organisation, has presented 10 exhibitions, 1 public art project and 9 public education activities. We would like to thank every curator, artist and partner for their trust in us, as well as their support and companionship.

近年来，美术界曾掀起一波“回归传统”的浪潮。传统重新引起艺术家的普遍关注。本次展览的学术意图，是希望呈现中国当代艺术的一条重要发展路径，即立足中国自身的历史与文化情景，从本土文化的立场，挖掘当代艺术与传统的联系，以及艺术家如何为传统注入新的内涵。

In recent years, there has been a wave of "return to tradition" in the art world. Tradition has attracted the attention of artists again. The academic intention of this exhibition is to present an important development path of Chinese contemporary art, that is, based on China's own historical and cultural situation, from the standpoint of local culture, to dig out the connection between contemporary art and tradition, and how artists can inject new connotations into tradition.

刘耀华在《祝你平安》的试验基础上，以影像、摄影、装置和互动参与的方式，延伸并转化为此次个展《不安》加以呈现，并通过七组作品构建了七种不同的叙事方式。

蔬菜周转框、健身器材、废弃电表箱、拴马桩，这种城市中很少被人注意的日常物被莫倪健搬到了展馆中，他以转化、涂鸦、移动等方式改变物品原有的功能指向，模糊其价值属性，艺术家以多年积累的艺术史知识及作为艺术家敏锐的直觉与感受，挖掘出物品表面及惯有认知之外的某种特性，又以其自身的观念及逻辑串联起一套独特的创作方式，建构出一个新的语境，呈现出一个独属于艺术家莫倪健的艺术现场。

Vegetable turnover frames, fitness equipment, discarded meter boxes, and hitching posts, which are seldom noticed in the city, have been moved to the exhibition hall by Mo NiJian, who transforms, graffiti, and moves the objects to change their original functional directions and blur their value attributes. The artist, with the knowledge of art history accumulated over the years, and with his keen intuition and feelings as an artist, excavates a certain characteristic beyond the surface of the objects and the usual cognition, and then connects them with his own concepts and logics in a set of unique creation methods to construct a new context, presenting an art scene that belongs to Mo NiJian alone.

All Is Right?-Liu Guangyun Solo Exhibition

In this exhibition, based on the artist's reflection on his own flowing life experience, through video, installation, pictures and other means, he presents the place in the process of generation, and sends out the greeting of "Are you okay?" This is a greeting without a specific object. "How are you?" This greeting is an original way, a concern; it is a greeting to the workers who appear in the work, a greeting to a past era, and a greeting to everyone in the society; it is related to everyone without pointing to a particular person, and everyone can find an emotional anchor point in it.

《超验心跳》这两件作品形成了一种紧密的互文关系。《活着》是苍鑫行为修辞学的个体呈现，《哭墙》则将这种个体意识让渡于他者。我们看到不平衡的作用力在个体身上的拉扯和博弈，这其中有个体意识和残酷现实的拉锯，有偶然性的遭遇和理想化的对立，甚至我们可以看到这种力可能来自于无形的意识形态和价值体系。《超验心跳》就是让我们看到了这种不平衡的力作用在个体身上的所形成的“功”。

These two works form a close intertextual relationship. Alive" is the individual presentation of Cang Xin's behavioural rhetoric, while "Wailing Wall" cedes this individual consciousness to the other. We see the unbalanced force pulling and playing on the individual, which includes the tug-of-war between individual consciousness and cruel reality, the confrontation between chance encounters and idealisation, and we can even see that this force may come from an invisible ideology and value system. Transcendental Heartbeat is a film that shows us the "work" that is formed when such unbalanced forces act on individuals.

2023成都双年展平行展“未来共同体：同频·共振”展出了12位艺术家的26件作品，涵盖架上、装置、影像等作品。本次展览是关于"时间与未来"的探讨，围绕"新青年艺术家"，在"时间引力"的主题概念中探讨新时代的青年的艺术创作生态。

"Future Communities: Synchronicity·Resonance"The exhibition features 26 works by 12 artists, including easel, installation, video and other works. This exhibition is about "Time and Future", focusing on "New Young Artists" and exploring the ecology of youth art creation in the new era under the theme concept of "Time Gravity".

5A LABO 是艺文立方推出的全新艺术品牌中岛，本次展览空间的第一期项目为青年艺术家薛熳展览《转 TRANSFORM 》。展览包含了艺术家过往对潮流文化，消费主义以及艺术生态的思考。其中谈讨了艺术家对商品过度消费的怀疑与转化，以及艺术家自身对现成品再创造的实验和探索脉络。

5A LABO is a new art brand launched by Art Cube, and the first phase of this exhibition space is the young artist Xue Firm's exhibition "TRANSFORM". The exhibition contains the artist's past thoughts on trend culture, consumerism and art ecology. It discusses the artist's suspicion and transformation of the over-consumption of commodities, as well as the artist's own experiments and explorations on the re-creation of ready-made products.

Bolero-Mao Haibo Solo Exhibition

此次展览整体呈现了毛海波对材料的探索，相较于做什么，毛海波对在什么（材料）上做更感兴趣。此次展览，一层展厅呈现了其2016年的《尘述》的延续，这次他选择在石头、木板等底座上，同样以石膏粉过筛，飘落下的石膏粉也越垒越高临近崩塌，直至堆砌成一个个似小山丘的形态。

The exhibition as a whole presents Mao Haibo's exploration of materials, and compared to what he does, Mao Haibo is more interested in what (materials) he does it on. In this exhibition, the ground floor gallery presents a continuation of his 2016 Dust Description, this time he chooses to use gypsum powder to sift on a base of stones and wooden boards, and the gypsum powder drifting down also gets higher and higher towards collapse, until it is piled up into a form that looks like a small hill.

“地方次元”是艺文立方的一个长期项目，通过不同的展览、研究和对话来呈现正在生成中的地方性，且关注不同维度的地方性。本期邀请普耘呈现他的空间研究项目——《迭变与弥散》。普耘毕业于中央美术学院实验艺术学院，毕业后一方面从事行为和观念艺术的创作，另一方面长期关注社会变迁中的人与空间的关系，并通过项目的方式来做系统性的研究和表达自己的理解。

" LOCAL DIMENSIONAL" is a long-term project of Artworld Cube, which focuses on different dimensions of place through different exhibitions, researches and dialogues to present the place in the process of being generated. In this issue, we invite Pu Cheng to present his spatial research project, Iteration and Diffusion. He graduated from the School of Experimental Art of the Central Academy of Fine Arts, and after graduation, he has been engaged in the creation of performance and conceptual art on the one hand, and on the other hand, he has long been concerned about the relationship between people and space in the midst of social change, and he has been systematically researching and expressing his own understanding of it through the means of the project.

本次展览，展出了于名晶的两件新作品《迁移：回响 Migratory echo》以及今年日本黄金町的驻留项目《熟睡的身体 The sleeping body》，她的作品都是长期详细观察和参与式体验的结果，她从不特定人群、地点、日常中选取素材，定格日常生活中微妙或是荒诞的瞬间，以及不同关系里无法言说的情感，这些在日常接触中的人与人、与空间、社会等的参与影响她的种种感受，以作品产生出一种无声对话。

In this exhibition, two new works by Yu Mingjing, "Migratory echo" and "The sleeping body", a residency project in Kanamachi, Japan this year, are on display. Her works are the result of long term detailed observation and participatory experience, where she chooses materials from unspecified groups of people, places, and routines, and frames subtle or absurd moments in daily life, as well as ineffable emotions in different relationships, and her participation in these daily encounters with people, space, and society influences all kinds of feelings, and her works produce a kind of silent dialogue.

在“去地摊”这一公共艺术项目上，艺术家所出售的是所有“另类的”艺术商品，是将观念转化为可以兜售的物、行为或事件，这便使人们通过艺术活动走进艺术，满足人们对艺术的趣味对话与探索。“去地摊”中的艺术品不仅有着独特的实体性产品，更还包含了行为、意念等方面的丰富内涵。

In the public art project "Going to the Stall", the artist sells all "alternative" art commodities, transforming ideas into objects, behaviours or events that can be peddled, which enables people to enter art through art activities and satisfies their interest in art. The artworks in the "Going to the Stalls" not only have unique physical products, but also contain a wealth of connotations in terms of behaviours, ideas, and so on.
