在孙良的作品中，具有神话和魔幻气质的生命体以灵动的姿态幻化成躯体，在画面中悬浮着。于艺术家而言，想象，便是他内心的现实。各种各样的动物、植物、奇异的景象、星空、月光、神秘的幻觉、想像、神奇的声音、传说，那些古老的文明、异域奇景、几千年文化的残片，许多的渴望、更多的失望、无法摆脱的现实，内心时时刻刻的变化，还有差异、还有情欲、还有贪婪、还有愤怒、还有……许许多多，它们混合、交织、错乱、重叠在一起，就是孙良的作品。

In Sun Liang's works, living beings with a mythological and magical aura are transformed into bodies in a spiritual gesture, suspended in the frame. For the artist, imagination is his inner reality. Sun Liang’s works are mixtured with kinds of animals, plants, strange sights, starry sky, moonlight, mysterious illusions, imagination, magical sounds, legends, those ancient civilisations and exotic landscapes. In his works, remnants of thousands of years of culture, desires, disappointments, the reality that can not be escaped from, the inner changes from time to time, and the differences, and the lust, and the greed, and the anger are intertwined, dislocated, overlapped.

▎异禀 Heteromorphism 手工油印 Handmade oil printing 38.5×74.5cm 2019

“魔登天使”展出的孙良作品，既具备其以往作品的典型风格，又因其手工油印的创作方式，具有更复古的色调，从而使画面元素仿佛浸透在时间的沧桑之中。艺术家以其精湛的灵动线条在单色/双色的铜版上恣意挥舞，双头蝙蝠、太阳神、猛虎等，介于神魔之间的生命体，以灵动而单纯的线条幻化出奇妙的身躯，勾勒出孙良内心最深处的瑰丽想象。相较较为当代的电脑打印和激光打印，孙良在这批作品中仅仅使用了手工油印这一较为传统的印刷方式，以使作品最大程度地保留手工质感，更加突出其神秘和生命的气息。

Sun Liang's works on display in Magical Morden not only have the typical style of his previous works, but also have a more vintage tone due to his handmade oil-printing method, which makes the elements of the picture seem to be drenched in the vicissitudes of time. The artist's superbly animated lines on the monochrome/bicolour copper plate are wielded at will. The two-headed bat, the sun god, the tiger, and other living beings that are in-between the gods and demons are transformed into marvellous bodies with their animated and simple lines, which outline Sun Liang's deepest and most magnificent imaginings. Compared to contemporary computer printing and laser printing, Sun Liang only uses the traditional printing method of handmade oil printing in these works, in order to preserve the handmade texture of the works to the greatest extent possible and to highlight their mysterious and life-like aura more prominently.

孙良很喜欢"玩"这个词儿。评论家、策展人王林曾说，"玩"就是兴趣，就是爱好，就是儿时游戏的身心投入，就是今生今世不离不弃非做不可也非做好不可的事儿。"主要是玩，顺便做点事，要做就把它做好"，这句话或许是孙良创作的十分合适的注脚。

Sun Liang loves the word play. Critic and curator Wang Lin once said that play means interest, hobby, the physical and mental commitment to childhood games, and something that must be done and done well in this life. "Do something while playing and do it right" may be a very suitable footnote for Sun Liang's creation.
