In the context of the Belt and Road Initiative, we are committed to exploring the power of art to transcend geographical, linguistic, and cultural boundaries, fostering mutual understanding and promoting artistic and cultural exchanges between China and Southeast Asia.

Today, with the rapid development of artificial intelligence, humans are facing significant challenges to existence. In an era where everything can be replicated, humans strive to maintain the irreplaceability of life. The uniqueness of life stems from the nurturing land, as the saying goes, "The unique features of a local environment always give special characteristics to its inhabitants." From a broader geographic perspective, Asia represents such a distinct region, and the artworks showcased in this exhibition demonstrate that we are part of that region.

This exhibition brings together over a hundred artworks from artists hailing from both China and Southeast Asia, offering us a glimpse into the rich diversity and unique charm of this Asian land. These artworks not only showcase the cultural characteristics and visual languages of their respective regions but also reflect humans' steadfastness and introspection regarding their roots and cultural identities amidst the tide of globalization. The exchange and dialogue between Chinese and Southeast Asian art, within the context of globalization, will undoubtedly open up new perspectives, attitudes, and visual wisdom.
