MOCA 新展官宣 | 一颗种子的旅行·元点

银川当代美术馆西北艺术种植计划项目的儿童展览品牌“一颗种子的旅行”全新篇章——“元点”，将于7月13日启幕。这是一场不同以往的儿童展 ，这里的“儿童”艺术家不仅来自当下，也来自过去和未来；它有儿童的创作，也有为儿童而作的创作；它所要展开沟通的对象，也不单单是小朋友，还有大朋友，老朋友。

The brand new chapter of Children's exhibition brand "The Journey of A Seed" of MOCA Yinchuan’s “Northwest Art Planting Project” — "META POINT", will be launched on July 13. This will be a different children's exhibition, where the "children" artists are not only from the present, but also from the past and the future; It has art works from children, and creations for children; The object of its communication is not only children, but also Adults and seniors.

艺术史上不断有（成人）艺术家回溯儿童艺术，重新审视艺术的本质，从最基本的人类表达和探索动力中寻找新的灵感。本次展览试图从儿童艺术为起点展开，进一步地看到艺术对人类行为的映射和启示。策展人把这种时间的开始和节点，称之为“元点”。

There are constantly (adult) artists who would trace back to children’s art, re-examine the essence of art, and seek new inspirations from the most basic human expression and exploration motivation. This exhibition attempts to start from children’s art and further seek the reflection and enlightenment of art on human behaviors, which thus calls this beginning and node of time “Meta-Point”.

“元点”不仅代表了时间和空间上的起始点，也象征着个体意识和社会意识的萌生和发展。“儿童”是一个大而泛的概念，在这个称呼之下隐藏着无数鲜活的个体，想要认识儿童，我们不得不诚恳地面对具体的孩子：他（她）们是如何在成长的初期认识自身，又是如何在不同的家庭和社会文化背景影响之下，形成独特的身份。

The “Meta-Point” not only represents the starting point in time and space, but also symbolizes the emergence and development of individual consciousness and social consciousness. “Children” is a broad concept, under which there are actually countless vivid individuals. To better understand them, we have to sincerely meet the specific individual children: how they (she/he) recognize themselves in the early stages of growth, and how they form unique identities under the influence of different family and social cultural backgrounds. “Identity recognition” is an unavoidable topic for the growth of an individual, their cognition and exploration of the world, and in their process of growth under the mutual influence of the two.

在科技与社会高速发展的当下，艺术的媒介和观念已经发生了极大的变化。“后人类主义”的概念重新升温。也许此时此刻，面对艺术、文化乃至人类文明的发展，我们都处在一个转折点，并且我们清楚地知道这一切如同时间一样不可逆转，这也是我们要讨论的“元点”。

In the current era of rapid technological and social advancement, the media and concepts of art have undergone great changes. On this premise, we, whether optimists or pessimists, have to seriously face and think about the future. The idea of “post-humanism” is heating up again. But it’s no longer about human actively lowering their postures. Instead, it is more about technologies helping humans to occupy advantageous ecological positions, while at the same time, they will face severe challenges from silicon-based life. Perhaps at this very moment, confronting the development of art, culture, and even human civilization, we are all at a turning point. And we clearly know that all these are irreversible like time, which is also the “Meta-Point” we would like to discuss.

儿童是我们的过去和现在，更是人类的未来。我们关注社会文化和时代背景对儿童的影响，而不只是把儿童艺术看作是本能的认知发展和封闭系统。展览将与孩子们、家庭、艺术家、学校、不同机构展开多元、深入的合作，并面向社会开展作品征集活动。“元点”，不仅仅是关于起源和历史的思考，也是关于人类与世界关系的讨论，亦是转折和对未来及可能性的预见。

Children stands for our present as well as our past. And they are the future of humanity. We want to focus on the impact of social culture and temporal context on children, not just viewing children’s art as instinctive cognitive development or a closed system. The exhibition will cooperate multiply and deeply with children, families, artists, schools and different organizations, and collect art works from the public. “Meta-Point” is not only about the reflection on origins and history, it also concerns discussions about the relationship between humans and the world, as well as a turning point and foresight for the future and more possibilities.
