画画,是什么?是绘制图形、是创造乌托邦、是阐述自我……,还是记录未完成的生命?对于章宗来说,日常画画就像是稀疏平常的事情,画本就是日记本。他反反复复地去记录这个世界,画面生成的时候平日里那些凌乱无序的思绪也会跃然纸上。时间在流动,画笔在进行,回忆在时间里流动。作品中明确的线条、流动的颜料,被风干在画面上凝结着未完成时间段里一个瞬间的切片。这些切片断断续续串联成一个正在进行时的故事,创作,也在反过来帮助创作者整理一连串的思绪。????????????????????????????
Painting, what is it? Is it drawing graphics, is it creating utopia, is it articulating the self ......, or is it recording an unfinished life? For Zhang Zong, daily drawing is like a rare and ordinary thing, and the drawing book is a diary. He records the world over and over again, and when the picture is created, the messy and unorganised thoughts of his daily life will also appear on the paper. Time flows, brushes are in motion, and memories flow in time. The clear lines and flowing paints in his works, dried on the screen, are slices of a moment in an unfinished period of time.These slices are intermittently strung together into a story in progress, creating, and in turn, helping the creator to organise a chain of thoughts.

看他的画面,好像下一刻就可以被重新拿过来调整、修改,每一张画面都带着些意外的新鲜感。他并不追求极致的完成性、精致感。他的画,就是一种随机的体验,像是流水,不争先,却自然流淌。
Looking at his images, it seems as if they can be taken over again the next moment to be adjusted and modified, and each image carries some unexpected freshness. He does not pursue the ultimate sense of completion or refinement. His paintings are a kind of random experience, like flowing water, not competing to be first, but flowing naturally.

Zhang Zong ‘Untitled’20×23cm/22×25cm Acrylic on paper他的作品里,只关乎于自身。他关心一朵花、一个记忆的片段、一段读过的文字、一段音乐……,诸如此类生活里常见的事物。他喜欢观察也喜欢记录,这些片段组成了他的生活和他的作品。它们没有需要让人绞尽脑汁去琢磨的部分,它只提供给观者最直抒胸臆的观看。????????
In his works, he only cares about himself, he cares about a flower, a fragment of memory, a piece of text he read, a piece of music ......, and so on and so forth common things in life. He likes to observe and record, and these fragments make up his life and his works. There is no need to rack one's brain to figure out the parts of them, it only provides the viewer with the most straightforward viewing.

Zhang Zong ‘Untitled’24×26cm Colour Pencil on Paper五彩斑斓的画面里,有很多多样化的元素。层叠起伏的飞蛾、不明所以的字母、随意飘过的线条,这些看似并不搭配的元素却和谐又充满趣味感的出现在他的画面里。他好像从不犹豫自己为何书写、为何作画。就好像他本人一样,他接受一切的发生、接受自己的每一面。自洽地艺术家,必然会自洽地在画面中表达最真实的自我。他并不去纠结画面的含义、图像、材料、作画时间,他只去自然而然得记录。直觉之中,意识之中,自然会给他作画的理由。???????There are many diverse elements in the colourful images. Layers of undulating moths, unexplained letters, random lines, all these seemingly mismatched elements appear in his paintings in harmony and with a sense of fun. He never seems to hesitate why he writes or paints. Like himself, he accepts everything that happens and every aspect of himself. A self-effacing artist is bound to express his true self in his pictures. He doesn't bother about the meaning of the picture, the image, the material, the time of painting, he just records it naturally. Intuitively, consciously, nature will give him a reason to paint.

“它们是简单对话,是对某?的怀念,是遗憾,是愿望亦或是喜悦——零零总总的碎?。他觉得艺术家就应该把??内?展现给其他?,像读?本书?样,?们能第?眼就能知道这个艺术家内在真实的想法,他的?活,以及他作画时的状态。”They are simple dialogues, nostalgia for someone, regrets, wishes, or joys - bits and pieces. He felt that an artist should show his/her own heart to other people, like reading a book, so that people can know at first glance what is really going on inside the artist, his/her vitality, and his/her state of mind when he/she paints.’

A:我的奶奶,她在我?时候教我画画,是我最早的启蒙?师。其次是我上学时期的同学褚洁,阿伦,阿飘,多爱,因为我们?个好像都是INFP,时不时具?起聊艺术。我也?常感谢在上海视觉艺术学院的赵葆康?师,当时我满脑?带着关于现代和当代艺术的问题向他求教。他和我分享了很多艺术??的简介,还把他??将要出版的书籍(赵葆康《综合材料绘画教程》)发给我,让我学习。提供每位艺术学?必读的哲学,艺术史,艺术理论书籍?录和检索给到我,我?常的感动和感谢。对我那个时候只把艺术停留在学院派上单?思想进?了改变和补充,于我??有很?启发。我想,每个艺术家都在不断的学习探索和前进,求道的?式多种多样,遇到身边的每个?都是缘分,在相互对话交流的过程中,都可以学习和影响。
Q:最近有什么感兴趣的主题吗?什么样的场景和素材会吸引到你?A:有很多我感兴趣的事情,我也是在不断的梳理。从我的记忆,我的?活中。以及我为什么会喜欢。我觉得每个事情都会有源头,这个可能和我内?世界和我是什么样的?有关。我现在关注更加柔和的东?,它是?与?的关系,?最原初像孩童时期的状态,是?亲对孩?的关爱,那个时候的感觉很好。我?直想回到那个时期,找答案。我想那个时候的内?,应该不会像现在的我那样,被外界太多的事物牵盼和影响。因为它会让我变得更加的简单,但是它在我脑海??是模糊的。还有每个?的缘分,?命中我们要经历的事,遇到的?,做出的选择。?于素材,我觉得对我看到的听到的,能从我脑海?拎出来的都是印象深刻的有意义的,都可以?来创作的。不刻意的去想,我更希望它能??跑过来。Q:最近关注的?较喜欢的艺术家是?
A:对我??太多太多艺术家,我买了?常多的艺术家的书。??每个阶段都有喜欢的艺术家,现在很喜欢 Edvard Munch,John Cage,Tacita Dean, Herny Darger,Felix Gonzalez Torres, Herny David Thoreau, 仇晓?。但是慢慢的当??不断的?我发掘的时候我觉得可能要摆脱这些艺术家的影?,慢慢的接受真实的??,哪怕那个原初的??和喜欢崇拜的艺术家相差甚远。对我??,觉得好的??就吸收,不需要那种偶像崇拜和过度迷恋,就是静静观看就好。最重要的是艺术家应该建?属于??的视觉语?和创作?法。
Q:你认为当下的艺术,或者艺术创作,最重要的是什么?
A:我认为是真诚吧,那颗?。我以前教孩?画画,我认为他们画画的时候就很投?很开?,作品?常打动?。当然有?反驳我说,做作品不能太真诚。我觉得都可以,找到??合适的就?。
Q:?格是否重要?还是持续不断的变化?
A:以前?个学?和我分享,不?刻意追求某种?格,不管是绘画,雕塑,装置,当做完作品时,?格?然就会出来,只是需要我们??去发现。我?常认同这个观点,有的时候外界好的东?太多了,我们挑花眼,反倒看不到??的东?。我认为?格应该不会持续不断的变化,变化只是作品表?上的呈现。

I took my own student, Nonno, to draw her own picture. She drew a time travelling picture, a black hole jumping picture and won a prize at the end of the day, and we were all very happy about it, me, Nonno, and her little pineapple friend.有段时间,?直被迫看到很多连数,于是我记录下来,?上说是?纬度的仙?给我的留?,但过了?段时间后,不知道是不是?费,?没怎么给我递消息。For a while, I was forced to see many even numbers, so I recorded them, and the internet said that they were messages from the high-latitude fairies, but after a while, I don't know if it was a personal favourite or not, and I didn't get much of a message from them.
